Many ika folks are proud of their Igbo heritage,many refuse being called Igbo while others are indifferent or just call themselves Ika. If they were in the same region with SE Igbo, am sure it would have gone a long way in resolving such identity crisis. Ezza pple in Ebonyi is one example of a group with outside Igbo influences like ika but they dont have identity crisis.
So long as dsunity in Igboland such as this and the weakening of ethnic groups will result in a more powerful federal govt in Nigeria, we will be seeing things like this. Igbo enemies will even begin to sponsor them.

The only way to cure this confusion is to expedite the creation of Anioma state. That way,they'd stand alone and properly ID themselves. Even at $50 per barrel, Bayelsa would have earned $30 per citizen per day and over $12,000 per citizen per year which translates to approximately 3 million naira each for every man, woman, child in Bayelsa.
