My people bear good English names unlike the Igbos who still bear old English names that no longer exist in the white man's dictionary like Romanus, Polycarp, Longinus, Cletus, Calistus etc. Those names are Latin in origin and as you know Igbos are mainly Catholic.. so its normal we bear them Am sorry for your people that claim to be more English than the English |

Armaggedon: He said he is not Igbo and so what? So what happens if tomorow he says he is Igbo? Does that make him more important? Cursing a group of pple b'cos of a silly statement of one BOY doesnt make SE Igbos trustworthy. Many ika folks are proud of their Igbo heritage, many refuse being called Igbo while others are indifferent or just call themselves Ika. If they were in the same region with SE Igbo, am sure it would have gone a long way in resolving such identity crisis. Ezza pple in Ebonyi is one example of a group with outside Igbo influences like ika but they dont have identity crisis. So long as dsunity in Igboland such as this and the weakening of ethnic groups will result in a more powerful federal govt in Nigeria, we will be seeing things like this. Igbo enemies will even begin to sponsor them. onenaira3: Dude you should let them be. Notice they are just ignoring you, an ika, and following in the tone of music with the yolobas and the rest of the tribalistic miscreant... One thing I've learned about SE igbos is they need validation of their hatred for anioma and love paying attention to those tribaliatic miscreants from sourhwaste therefore whenever they get one person that's validate their hatred, they drag all of us into it. Even nzeogwu, who is not even ika and was a proud igbo is not even being spared right now. They are acting like as if an ika denier is a surprise when it's a well known reality they are a divided group (no offense btw). Sunday saying he's not Igbo is the same way okowa said he is and both are from the same area. Just let them be. They've gotten their meals for today.
SE biko continue Dee N1 ewela iwe The only way to cure this confusion is to expedite the creation of Anioma state. That way, they'd stand alone and properly ID themselves. Am happy your people have the Anioma umbrella unlike those in Rivers so the only thing is to ensure that SE Igbo see more practical benefits in having Anioma state. I as an ukwangwa love the Anioma.. that's why am going to start a pressure group that'd make Anioma the 6th state |

CHM11: Like I said, if they say they are not igbos, that they are ika, you MUST respect them for who they say they are...you wouldn't force your tribe on them.
You can't cry of oppression and bondage in Nigeria yet you don't want minorities like these ones to be free...... I believe there is an english word starting with H for such character. Nobody is a minority in his own land! The ikas are a tribe in the matrix of the Igbo nation.. They're not minorities.. just like the enuani or ukwuani or even the aros or ukwas.they're are on the same pedestal, none is higher or lower than the other. Minorities exist outside Igboland which means that every Igbo or Igbolike tribe is no minority |

CHM11: I love you my akwaibom wife...muuuuuuuaaaaaah!!! If Oliseh say's he is not igbo, that he is ika....why don't u respect him as an Ika man?
Ika can be part of Biafra if they choose to but if they decide to be called ika people rather than igbo people I feel its best they are respected and identified as who they are.
The itsekiris for example answer both igbo and yoruba names,....does that make them yoruba or igbo?...NO, they are itsekiris.... The Ika people cant come out tomorrow to say all other igbos are Ika and not igbo...I'm sure igbos from imo, abia, anambra, enugu and ebonyi won't accept such pronouncement from the Ika people.
My view, just respect people for who they choose to be....don't call them something else.... The Jekri people have no territorial contiguity with Igboland so where did the Igbo names come from They're surrounded by Ofei,Bini,Sobo & Izon tribes so its natural they answer names from those places. Stop peddling lies to buttress a weak point.. moreover the Ikas are Igbos that migrated from owere in the 11th century so it's wrong for them to deny their heritage In Biafra, they'd ve their own cultural area which would also be a province with autonomous powers to develop at their pace but that's it.in history, they served as the westernmost fortress of Igboland and would continue to do so. |

vicenzo: The Bourdillion 1939 division of the country into three regions was a curious one. Somehow the Midwest was separated from the original Southern protectorate ie the present day SS/SE, and attached to the alien Lagos colony ie current SW to create Western region.
I believe this was done because the SW cocoa was never going to be enough to keep the Western region financially stable. They needed the wealth of the Mid west.
This parasitism didn't start today, If they did that division by ensuring that the Igbo and ijo parts of the Midwest were carved into the eastern region, nobody would've raised an eyebrow |

PPAngel: Olofo.
This is what Adesina stated in that same source.
How come Nigeria which only contributes 4% of total raw cocoa production accounted for $10bn?
Keep decieving yourselves.
This is a chart of raw cocoa production which Adesina stated is worth $10bn

Given Nigeria's global market share of 5% and total net worth of finished cocoa products at $200bn, Afesina stated that Nigeria accounted for $10bn of this total finished cocoa products.
So stop distorting the article to spur your deflated egos.
As things stand Nigeria only made $780million from raw cocoa exports.
With an estimated population of 50million in the SW, cocoa added $15 to annual GDP to the SW.
Now compare that to Bayelsa with a population of 800,000 and oil production of 600,000 barrels per day.
Even at $50 per barrel, Bayelsa would have earned $30 per citizen per day and over $12,000 per citizen per year which translates to approximately 3 million naira each for every man, woman, child in Bayelsa.
Now who is the poor waif?
You keep speaking of potential while in the SS we are already one step to realization.
All we need is to leave this useless country Gbam! |
Politics › Re: Debunking The Latest Lie: Nigeria did not earn $10bn from Raw Cocoa exports by cheruv: 1:26pm On Aug 02, 2015 |
PPAngel: You have a serious comprehension problem.
Adesina stated in that same source that:
Where the total global annual raw production is stated at $10bn worth, Adesina was speaking of the potential value of processing and exporting finished cocoa products which at the current capacity of 238,000 metric tonnes can generate $10bn if processed and exported.
Try get sense.
Nigeria did not see $10bn from raw cocoa exports rather Nigeria raw exports accounted for $10bn processed cocoa products produced and sold in the west.

Politics › Re: What Is Wrong With Igbo's? by cheruv: 1:54am On Aug 02, 2015 |
kcng: The problem with Igbo's is they lack true leadership. They never speak with one voice. They are their own enemies. They think every other ethnic group in Nigeria is dumb, but history has proven they never think things through before taking action and when the Consequences come they begin to cry like toddlers and blame other ethnic groups. I have never seen a group of people who will never take responsibility for their actions. Always think they are 2 crafty. The bible says it's only a fool that thinks he is wiser than 10men put together or everybody else. Like yoruba people will say it is when you have no elders in your house that a baby's neck will go bent. I'm sorry to say I'm no bigot because I have igbo relatives but truth must be told. If you give igbo's Biafra? the next minute enugu will tell Anambra they're not igbo's and secession will begin. That eastern region will brake into 1000 parts with a lot of blood shed. God merging igbo's to Nigeria was an act of grace. If they secede they will suffer so much. All their trading goes on outside their region. What resources do they have in commercial quantity? They will just be a treat to african peace, because a hungry igbo man can be very dangerous. I love igbo's and want them to stay in Nigeria. They have nothing we take from them. The oil is tapped from niger delta. They better think things through before making a mistake. Any 1 who wants biafra hates igbo's because south sudan war will be a joke considering how disunited igbo's are. I say no to biafra out of love for igbo's Shove your love up your backside bro,we no need am! Lemme tell you something.. Immediately the Great Republic is declared, all these states Nigeria created in Igboland would be disbanded and reformed into provinces.everyone would be grouped into his cultural area and left to develop at his own pace like for eg the Etches straddling Imo and Rivers states would be grouped into the Etche cultural area ditto for the Ukwa straddling Abia and Rivers or Egbema straddling Imo and Rivers. Anybody caught persecuting the people by squandering the prosperity of Biafra would be executed together with his family. But first, establish the republic! |
