Atiku, Secondus, Obi others want leaders that divide us voted out .......as Atikulation train arrives Rivers state The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leaders were unanimous in their call on Monday for voters to throw away President Muhammadu Buhari who preach violence and encourage division among the citizens. As the PDP Presidential campaign train arrived Port Hatcourt, Rivers state on Monday, the Presidential candidate of the party in Saturday's all important election, Atiku Abubakar and the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus led the pack of other PDP leaders to persuade voters to use their permanent voters card, PVC, to vote out All Progressives Congress, APC flag bearer Buhari for preaching violence among us. Addressing a large crowd of party supporters that thronged Adokiye Amesimaka sports stadium to welcome the campaign team, Atiku told them that Nigerians should do away with the tendency to create division within us and make us not to live together as brothers and sisters. Making reference to President Buhari's remarks at the weekend in Zamfara that the people should eat well so as to be strong for trouble, Atiku said that Nigerians should be ready to vote out leaders who preach terror among us. He told the jubilant mammoth crowd that as the author of restructuring, a vote for him and PDP will guarantee a restructured Nigeria which he believes will ensure progress, development and friendly living among us. Atiku also assured the people of Rivers state that his presidency will reactivate Onne Seaport and finish the East West high way. Former President Goodluck Jonathan who also attended the rally with his wife Patience Jonathan urged the people of the state to vote Atiku and restore unity among Nigerians pointing out that APC administration has set the country backwards. The National Chairman, Prince Secondus continued his warning against moves by the APC to rig election saying that the turn out of sea of heads in Kano at the weekend speaks loudly that even Buhari's claimed strong hold the North West has fallen. Prince Secondus whose media office issued this statement signed by Ike Abonyi, said that a vote for Atiku and the PDP means that Nigeria will have a Commander in Chief who would be in charge and who would not source out the Presidency to the cabals. He said that Atiku is coming with equipped experience of the private and public sector and will guide Nigeria through the path of progress and harmonious living. Secondus charges Buhari to direct military to troubled areas not 'enemy' zones. .......Says frequent shake-up in the army curious. The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to stop using the military to harass and inconvenience geo-political areas he perceives as unfriendly. Prince Secondus said that instead troops should be channeled to troubled areas of the country like the North East and North West zones than being deployed to harass political opponents. The National Chairman's remarks came as he addressed the mammoth crowd of party supporters at the Taraba State Trade Fair Complex in Jalingo, Taraba state capital and Bauchi state sports stadium, Bauchi state on Tuesday as the Presidential train arrived the two states. According to a statement from the media office of the National Chairman, Prince Secondus said the party has noted the incessant movements in military and the deployment of troops to areas where they are not needed. "We have noted the quick response and frequent movements of the military personnel but we want to advise them to defend the constitution and the country and not individuals. " The Boko Haram threat in the North East and the bandits in the North West where innocent souls are lost daily are yearnings for troops, not areas that do not need it. The National Chairman also blasted the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammad for making unsubstantiated allegations, charging him to provide evidence to his lies or forever remain mute. "We challenge the lying Minister of Information, Lai Mohammad to provide evidence to numerous lies or keep quiet," He said that the Minister should take a queue from PDP who alleged that the APC was importing foreigners to rig election and we all the evidence. Prince Secondus also has some words for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for reacting promptly to the party's allegation but said that the party is not convinced that it can resist the pressure of the APC to want to manipulate the election. But he warned that a rigged election will lead to crisis and the PDP will not accept any result if the process is not credible. The National Chairman told the people of the two states that the Presidential candidate Atiku represents competence, and remains the symbol of unity to bring back peace and harmony among Nigerians. The presidential candidate continued his issue driven message assuring the people of the two states that his Presidency if given the mandate will alleviate poverty and provide jobs. In Jalingo, the National Chairman paid glowing tribute to one of the elder-statesmen in the country from the state, former Minister of Defence, General Theophilus Danjuma describing him as a patriot who has made enormous contributions for the peace and growth of this country. Secondus to Security, 'don't divide this country remain neutral' .......says Nigerians have spoken through ethnic leaders. The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has admonished the nation's security agencies to safeguard the unity of this country by being neutral in all their operation in this general elections. Prince Secondus said that the PDP has credible intelligence that some security operatives are being hired by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to connive with some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to manipulate the election in their favor. Addressing huge crowd of party supporters at the International Trade fair complex in Gusau, Zamfara state on Monday as the Presidential Campaign arrived the state, Prince Secondus said that there is still some good patriotic operatives who do their job professionally... According to a statement from the National Chairman's media office signed by Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus advised the security operatives to be guided by the constitution of the country as any bias roles from them in this election is capable of plunging this country into major crisis. The National Chairman said that the endorsement of the PDP Presidential candidate by all the apex ethnic bodies of the North, the East, the West, the South and the middle belt shows clearly where Nigeria is headed to in this election. He also assured them that he would rebuild malori dam and reactivate industrial and agricultural activities in the state. The former Governor of Kano state and the Deputy Director General of the campaign, Dr. Rabiu Kwakwaso, former governors of Niger, Babangida Aliyu, of Kogi Capt Idris Wada were among top northern leaders who addressed the mammoth crowd.
