The Peoples Democratic Party Mobilisation Forum in Kebbi, said 5000 members of the group from the 17 Local Government Areas of the state have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defectors were received by Kebbi Governor, Abubakar Bagudu and APC State Chairman, Alhaji Bala Kangiwa at the Presidential lodge in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
Bagudu while welcoming the defectors, said his obligation was to leave legacies for better society with youths as main focus.
The governor also said that his administration would continue to support youths groups across the state to enhance their economic prosperity.
Bagudu said that politics is a game of patience not crisis and commended the forum members for defecting to APC, and urged them to join the APC Youths Mobilisation Forum to canvass for the success of APC in the forthcoming elections.
Also, the State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Bala Kangiwa assured all defectors that the party would be given equal treatment as other APC members.
Spokesman of the defectors, Aliyu Bandado, said the forum was a political structure of former PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Bello Sarkin-Yaki.
He said the forum was established in 2013 and cut across the 21 local government areas of the state with the aim to bringing PDP to power in 2015.
” Over 5,000 members of our forum in 17 local government areas of the state have defected from PDP to APC and we are trying our possible best to bring other members in the remaining four local governments to APC,” he said.
Bandado explained that they dumped PDP because APC was the only party and government that could bring change and unity to the country.
He added that the landmark achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Bagudu in agriculture and good governance in the state attracted them to the party.
He apologised that youths in the state had been misled by PDP, saying that APC was the right party for all. (NAN)

Politics › Secondus To INEC, Stop Rigging Before The Election by chiangwar(op): 6:16pm On Feb 03, 2019 |
Secondus to INEC, stop rigging before the Election
....As PDP Presidential Campaign train arrived Kebbi.
......says central collation is designed for rigging
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has warned the independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to desist from acts tantamount to rigging the election even before the votes are caste.
Prince Secondus said that the creation of central collation center by the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu is to meet the needs of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the manipulation of the polls.
The National Chairman who raised the alarm while addressing a mammoth crowd of party supporters at Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birini Kebbi in Kebbi state on Sunday said that Prof Yakubu has succumbed to pressure from the APC to have a central collation center away from the usual practice in the past to creat room for rigging.
According to a statement from his media office signed by Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus said that names of people who will handle the collation are being handed down to INEC whose leadership appear to be lacking in a strong will to resist APC pressure.
He said that the names being compiled secretly are APC sympathizes as INEC leadership secumbed to pressure from APC who now know that Nigerians have rejected them.
The National Chairman reiterated his earlier position that Nigerians will not accept a rigged election and will do everything humanly possible to resist the thwarting of the will of the people.
Prince Secondus said APC is being rejected by Nigerians because they were given the mandate to change the country for good but their three years reign has ended up breeding hunger, poverty and unemployment in an unprecedented manner in the land.
.
The National Chairman told the jubilant party supporters that by their massive turn out to welcome the candidate and the party, they have put a death nail on the APC in the state and at federal level.
"The candidate we are presenting to you has all it takes to run a solid administration, he has been tested and tried both in private and public sector and he will provide food on your table as well as create jobs for youths of Nigeria.
The Presidential candidates also assured the people that PDP on the throne will ameliorate their suffering, create jobs, and end their hunger and insecurity.
The Senate President and the Director General of the campaign Dr. Bukola Saraki, speaking on the same vein urged the people to vote PDP in all the elections and kick out poverty.
The Governor of Sokoto state, Rt Honourable Aminu Tambuwal who is the coordinator of the PDP Presidential campaign also spoke in the same vain urging the people to vote right for PDP candidates all the way.
The PDP Presidential train leaves Kebbi for neighboring Zamfara state on Monday.

All I can say is that Buhari most go feddis: Wife of former Vice President, Titi Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday told women her husband is not interested in cornering the nation’s wealth but out to serve the masses.
She disclosed that with Atiku’s choice to back restructuring, Nigeria will be repositioned adding that Atiku would assist the country with his wealth where necessary.
Titi Abubakar spoke during a rally in Abuja at the old parade ground area 10, alongside Poeples Democratic Party (PDP) governor’s wife, Former PDP senators, ministers and other party faithful.
She went further that women should shun violence in the forthcoming elections and vote for their choice without fear or favour.
Titi Abubakar vowed to ensure the welfare of women, youths and children in the scheme of things when her husband is elected president.
Her words: “Atiku must rule. Atiku must get Nigeria working again. You know that Atiku is a job creator and he is going to engage most of the unemployed people.
“You know that Atiku is for restructuring. It is for your good. The Federal Government is too powerful that is why we must decentralise.
“Nigerian women are suffering. Atiku will give the women micro credit so that you can do your businesses.
“Don’t allow anybody to come and be giving you N10, 000. Do not destroy your children future. N10, 000 cannot carry you through 4 years and 8 years.
“The PVC they are collecting from you is a bad omen because on the day of voting you need your PVC.
“My women, I am telling you, collect their money and refuse to vote them. Vote the person of your choice. That money they are bringing to you is your money and your entitlement. Don’t give them your PVC. If you give them you have sold your children’s future.”
She went on: “Atiku is an educationist, he has businesses, he has done it before as Vice President and he is going to do it again as President. He was the head of the economic when he was with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
“Atiku does not want Nigerians money, he has made money. You know he has so many children. “All the children are not working in government offices except for one, who is a medical doctor and she is the commissioner in Adamawa State.
“She has told his father that he is not APC or PDP. She said she wants to work for her people, she wants to save lives and that is what she has been doing.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his association with Gov. of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has not in any way affected his anti corruption war.
He insisted that he was shielding anybody saying it was sheer mischief for anybody to suggest that he doing so based on his closeness to an individual.
Buhari’s position was made known in a statement by the Presidency no Thursday, which maintained that there is a difference between perception and reality.
The statement was in reaction to comments trailing the announcement of Ganduje as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, by President Buhari, at a rally in Kano.
It pointed to the prosecution of senior government officials, such as a former Secretary to the Government and a former state governor who is a member of the APC, currently serving jail term as proof of the will and determination of Mr. President to prosecute the anti-corruption war irrespective of who is involved.
It further noted that the Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Prof. Usman Yusuf, is currently on administrative leave as part of President Buhari’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
According to the statement, no official under the present administration will go unpunished once found to have broken the law.

APC has no shame at all do they even supposed to react imagine the disgrace Buhari and Osinbajo did on the day of their own candidates-interview #BNWA. stephanie11: @POLITICSNGR
Below is a Press Statement from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, made available to PoliticsNGR, on the recent appearance of PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Vice Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi on the "The Candidates" Program;
In the aftermath of Wednesday night's televised town hall meeting, The Candidates, attended by the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alh. Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi, a redefinition of their presidential campaign slogan, "Let's loot Nigeria again" is now trending heavily in the social media.
Going by Atiku and Obi's shocking confession that their administration will grant amnesty to looters, we are equally shocked and hereby align with the wide section of Nigerians who are now abundantly clear of their intentions if elected and now see the collective need to stop them.
The insistence of Alhaji Atiku and PDP to take us through this dangerous route where the nation's economic policies and programmes are driven mainly by the interests of leaders, their local friends, and foreign partners constitute a present danger every well-meaning Nigerian must rise against. The choices before Nigerians cannot be more clearer.
Those who have looted our resources, stolen the monies meant to build roads, rails, and ports, provide regular and stable electricity for our homes and businesses, provide quality healthcare, create environment conducive for ordinary Nigerians to unleash their creativity and industry, and for all Nigerians to live a rewarding and prosperous lives are working hard to take charge again. It is disturbing that Atiku and his returning mate, Peter Obi, could boldly face the national, and indeed, global audience boasting that the future of our country belongs to the looters.
As a matter of fact, Alhaji Atiku repeatedly told a bewildered nation that those who caused poverty, unemployment, poor infrastructure and misery for many Nigerians under his watch as the Vice President would be left to enjoy our commonwealth as long as they turned in part of what they have stolen. This no doubt must have gladdened the hearts of all the enemies of our country.
In a barefaced manner, the PDP's Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku promised to roll out the red carpet for people who have wickedly teemed up with him under PDP to ruin our country, in an environment such as ours, where many ordinary Nigerians, not being Atiku's friends, are wallowing in prison for stealing their neighbours' goats, phones, foods and such.
While Atiku tries to crowd the public space with falsehood on the ongoing fight against corruption and efforts to ensure credible 2019 general elections, the real issue remains Atiku’s inexplicable desperation to selloff remaining national economic assets to his friends and shadowy foreign concerns as Atiku did in the past and has severally and brazenly promised in his campaigns.
From Atiku’s so-called Dubai strategy meeting, the US excursion to Atiku’s recent letters to some foreign countries calling for their intervention in the 2019 elections, the big question before Nigerians has now been answered by Atiku: His spirited attempt to get foreign validation for his floundering presidential bid is not to serve Nigerians but to pander to the wishes of his friends, and some shadowy foreign concerns and interests.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has pursued a foreign policy based on mutual cooperation with the global community. The result has been our restored respect and standing in comity of progressive nations. This has also resulted in the successes we have recorded in the fight against insurgency, improvement in our previously dilapidated infrastructure and failed economy. These were surely not achieved by mortgaging of national assets for international support or rent-seeking by friends.
Atiku’s bid to trade national assets as an incentive for the support of his friends and foreign investors must be resisted.
For the All Progressives Congress, we would not get tired of reminding the PDP and Atiku that Nigerians will never return to Egypt. The era of unbridled corruption and impunity is one mission the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government is determined to FIGHT and WIN under a free, fair, and credible electoral process, with the support of well-meaning Nigerians.

Atiku said he may consider granting looters amnesty provided they are willing to reinvest their loot in Nigeria, thereby creating jobs.
The former Vice president said this on Wednesday while answering questions on ‘The Candidates’, a presidential town hall co-production on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
But, SERAP , reacting in a post on its official Twitter handle condemned Atiku’s plan to grant amnesty to looters.
According to SERAP, the corrupt must be held accountable and not escape justice.
The post read: “Dear Atiku, granting amnesty for corrupt persons will exacerbate impunity for corruption in Nigeria.
“SERAP Nigeria will challenge any such amnesty if it’s ever adopted as a policy, should you be elected into the office. The corrupt must be held to account, and not escape.”

No wounder a common man can not buy a bag of Rice, Say to NO APC . nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
The federal government on Monday said the rice revolution embarked upon by President Muhammadu Buhari since assuming office has taken millions of Nigerians out of poverty, adding that the achievements alone is enough to get the president re-elected for another term if he decides to run.
Addressing a press briefing in Lagos, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information said the rice revolution started by the federal government through the Anchors Borrowers Programme has reduced drastically the importation of rice in the country as 60 percent of rice eaten in Nigeria today are produced locally.
“The agricultural revolution in general and the rice revolution, in particular, have taken millions of Nigerians out of poverty. As a matter of fact, today, 60% of rice eaten in Nigeria is produced in Nigeria. In the words of the rice processors, the rice revolution alone is enough to guarantee re-election for President Buhari, if he decides to run again!”
“We want to use this opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to complement the efforts of the government by consuming only locally-grown and processed rice. It is fresher. It is tastier. It is healthier. It has not spent months on the high seas and warehouses” .
“We don’t know where or how imported rice is made or how old it is? It is reported that most of the rice dumped on us are old and probably rejects. The citizens of those countries do not eat this rice. The citizens of Benin also do not eat it. But they send it to us. Unhealthy foods are dangerous to health. So let’s eat what we can vouch for”.

NO ROOM FOR APC AlexReports: BUHARI'S NEXT LEVEL: THE INFLUENCE OF ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE IN APC DOMINANCE
The All Progressive Congress party Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has become a roaring lion in the over-heated political den of our nation's polity. His recent stronghold and campaign tactics for President Muhammadu Buhari has remained an unsalted magnate to his victory.
Adams Oshiomhole has been very successful in his political strides and ever since he joined politics as a vibrant youth, he has continued to maintain a constant advancement through the ladder of national progress.
His antecedents as the chairman of All Progressive Congress cannot be overemphasized, his vibrant campagn influence in the federal and state grassroots mobilisation across Nigeria as the National Chairman of the party is indeed commendable and historic.
Under the Oshiomhole led National Chairmanship of APC, the party was able to mobilize massive nationwide support across the states, ahead of the February 2019 general elections. Oshiomhole has played several pragmatic roles in grassroot campaign engagements for the party's candidates.
As we draw closer to the 2019 February polls, the All Progressive Congress has continued to tighten it's belt in preparations for the embattled political contest, amidst the baseless criticism from opposition parties.
However, the Chairman of the party has called on Nigerians to be calm, stating that victory belongs to those who have delivered and are ready to sustain the provisions of better governance through it's "Next Level Initiative".
He highlighted that the Buhari led administration, like no other, has brought remarkable impacts in continuity, the power sector, Agriculture, economic advancement and the war against corruption.
Adams Oshiomhole has encouraged Nigerians to support the vision of a corruption-free society, whereby nation building and development is influenced by the majority and not by a elite minority that is selfish in it's propaganda driven politics.
