The Federal Government has described as an “act of desperation’’, the statement credited to the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, that “killings will continue if President Muhammadu Buhari is re-elected’’.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stated the government position at a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
The minister said that Atiku is desperate “due to his floundering campaign’’ and admonished the former Vice President to stop bad politicking and politicising killings.
“It is clear to all Nigerians that the electioneering campaign of the PDP presidential candidate has failed to gain traction.
“From Sokoto to Ilorin to Ibadan to Gombe, it has been a disastrous outing for the campaign.
“ With that magnitude of failure, anyone can say anything to stay afloat,’’ he said.
“The opposition is only crying wolf where there is none, and in view of what they did during their 16 years in power.
“They never really won a free and fair election. Their strategy was to use the security agencies to thwart the wishes of voters.
“They did it in Ekiti and Osun in 2014. I was a victim in Osun, so I know what I am saying.
“But the guilty are always afraid. They think what they have done to others is what will be done to them,’’ he said
The minister assured that under President Buhari’s watch, no security agency would play that kind of ignominious role in any election.
-Your Excellency sir, this is a short message that represent the opinion of at least 52Million Nigerian Youths who were utmostly dissappointed by your intentional silence on ASUU Strike.
-Nobody ever imagined that the PMB of 2015 will carelessly treat ASUU Strike for over 9weeks in 2018. All of us are disappointed on your negotiating team!.
-Millions of Nigerians are only keeping quite on so many of your "adminiatrative hiccups" simply because you are BABA BUHARI; if it was Jonathan, the whole story would have been different, WHY!?
-I nearly died as an Electoral officer in 2015, trying to protect your votes, i was one of the people who mobilized thousands of youths and heavy money for you, 24/7 on social Media and now we must tell you a patriotic truth!.
-You just allowed some "petty officials" to treat "Public Education" as lesser priority and continue to play with the intelligence of ASUU & Students' future;* don't push us to the wall.
-98.9% of Nigerian Students are "Certified children of Nobodies" not children of any of your Governors, Ministers, Ambasssadors or even labourers in Aso Rock.
-None of Nigeria's Presidents, VP's, Governors or anybody in your circle ever attended any school other than Public institutions. Can't you sacrifice N1TRILLION to reach a consensual compromise with ASUU?.
-Even if there is no money to give ASUU, please borrow from those recovered looted billions in EFCC and ICPC, or simply use the 3Months Salaries of all your Ministers to save our future!.
-All of your generation enjoyed free education (Primary to tertiary), full of benefits with enough allowances, free accomodation, free food (balanced diet) and never witnessed any kind of careless strikes.
-Yusuf and Zarah graduated from Surrey UK, NUC Chairman son went to University of Aberdeen-UK; and infact all of us knows that the "rich kids" doesn't study in Nigeria, we never complained, yet you don't want to act fast?.
-Education, Health & Security are the sacrosanct priority of every serious government, don't make us to start serious "fasting and Al-Qunut".
-Your Minister of Education is a"Jounalist", Minister of Labour & Employment is a "Medical doctor" how then do you expect effeciency on Education?.
-You devalued the Naira with no cogent explanation, yet Nigerians kept quite, simply because Nigerians still zoomed you as the Baba Buhari of the 2015 change Mantra!
-You watch, folded your hands and kept mute how dollar skyrocket to N360, yet Nigerians kept quite, simply because we are still ashamed to criticized what we appraised.
-Systematic Subsidy was stylishly facilitated, Petrol price jump up to N145, when i remebered how in 2012 we nearly killed ourselves on protest against Jonathan!
-Now, that we needed you the most, you allow the likes of Babalakin, Adamu Adamu and Chris Ngige to be wasting ASUU time without shame, trying to destroy the future of Nigerian Students.
-Don't force Nigerian Students to resolve to the "Malcomian & Marxian alternatives". We are the nearest future of Nigeria, not those "Euro-groomed Children" of our politicians.
-I write this with strict objective mindset, without any political inclination, hoping you will realized that there are Nigerians that will tell you truth without politics.
-NOW, Nigerian Students should stop killing ourselves, let us not allow this strike to be politicized like any matter!. Weather ASUU & FG have any political benefits, we must not care, but our future.
-We hope & pray that you will consider this communique as urgently important. Please accept our patrioric regard.
Is not mocking is the truth APC is good at eating glory of what previous government started and Financed They should point out only one project nothing to show Nigerian , is a shame
PDP Mocks Buhari for Seeking Credit For New Abuja Airport Terminal
The PDP Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO) mocks President Muhammadu Buhari for attempting to claim credit for the construction of new Terminal Building at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, even when it is public knowledge that the project was designed, conceptualized and fully financed by the PDP administration.
The PPCO says it is unfortunate that President Buhari, in his desperation to nudge up his globally established non-performance rating, ahead of the 2019 Presidential election, engaged in yet another failed media stunt by trying to posture and claim credit for a project his administration made no contribution towards the funding and execution.
It was therefore derisory to see Mr. President and his handlers, comically swaggering and gleefully hugging the cameras at the commissioning of a project they made no contribution.
If anything, like the Port Harcourt Airport terminal building, President Buhari, in his flops, only succeeded in delaying the completion of the project, which concept and construction was perfected by the PDP, including payments to the contractors.
Is it not appalling that President Buhari, who, out of sheer incompetence and total disregard for the development need of our nation, cannot point to any key development project he had initiated and executed since his inauguration in 2015, despite the huge resources at his disposal, only to be going around the country, claiming credit for projects executed by the PDP?
Unarguably, such manifest incompetence and resort to false performance claims is the reason our federal lawmakers booed and jeered at Mr. President at the 2019 budget presentation at the National Assembly.
In any case, what would one expect from a President that has openly admitted that he lacked the capacity to manage an economy as complex as Nigeria’s for which he has promised Nigerians more suffering in the coming year.
The PDP is aware that President Buhari is desperate to validate his false performance indices, but seeking to lay claim to projects executed by our party, only shows that he has hit the end of the road.
The only option left for President Buhari is to accept his failures, as Nigerians rally behind the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to rescue our nation and return her to the path of good governance, development, national cohesion and economic prosperity.

In the 2007 April Presidential polls, Buhari contested against his brother from Katsina State, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and he lost.
Gen. Buhari was the CPC Presidential candidate in the April 16, 2011 general election, running against former president Goodluck Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and Ibrahim Shekarau of ANPP, again he lost. In the year 2015, Muhammadu Buhari not deterred by his previous failures, contested for the Presidential election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) with Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Muhammadu Buhari emerged the winner and was declared the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Marriage
In 1971, Buhari married his first wife, Safinatu Buhari (nee Yusuf) ( December 1983-August 1985). They had five children together, Zulaihat (Zulai) is named after Buhari’s mother. Their other children were Fatima, Musa (deceased), Hadiza, and Safinatu.

17Ebiscoo: Former governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, has reacted to the vice presidential debate involving Prof. Yemi Osinbajo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the VP candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Peter Obi and three other vice presidential candidates on Friday.
Kalu said that the debate would have been a great opportunity for the former ruling party to apologise to Nigerians for the damage they caused for 16 years.
Vice President Osinbajo and former Anambra Governor, Obi clashed yesterday in a political debate in Abuja ahead of 2019 presidential election.
Other participants in the debate were: Umma Getso YPP; Alhaji Abdulganiyu Galadima, ACPN; and Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya, ANN.
Kalu praised the performance of Osinbajo, tweeting, “Yesterday was a perfect opportunity to say”we are sorry”for 16 years of looting spree unfortunately it wasn’t utilised.
“Prof.Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo gave a sterling stewardship account of the “recovery” process under PMB @MBuhari. We are proud of you. #2019Debate #NextLevel.”

APC have important things to face then Deji Adeyanju, any way that that how they will be carried away till ATIKU become President of Nigerian come 2019 .
The police in Abuja have detained Deji Adeyanju again, his associates have told PREMIUM TIMES.
A message from Ariyo-Dare Atoye, a long-time friend of Mr Adeyanju, said the political activist was arrested after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
It was learnt that the police are demanding to establish the conclusion of a murder trial involving Mr Adeyanju in the mid and late 2000s.
“They are holding him at the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit over a murder case from his university days,” Mr Atoye said.
“Even though it is true that he was arrested and charged for murder when he was a student of Bayero University Kano, we are very sure that he was discharged and acquitted in the case,” Mr Atoye said.
Mr Adeyanju was at the unit, which was specially established to tackle specific serious crimes ranging from kidnapping to armed robbery, to retrieve the last of his three mobile telephone devices which the police seized from him when he was first arrested on November 28.
As of 9:30 p.m., Mr Atoye said he had contacted lawyers on behalf of Mr Adeyanju.
“The police said he jumped bail in 2005 and are asking for him to provide the certified true copy of the case in order to establish that he was indeed discharged,” Mr Atoye added. “We find this extremely embarrassing for our country, but we would try and get the copies tomorrow.”
Mr Adeyanju spent four years in prison between 2005 and 2009 after he was arrested with three others on murder charges while a student of Bayero University.
Festus Keyamo, a rights lawyer and current campaign spokesperson for President Muhammadu Buhari, defended Mr Adeyanju and the three others. One of the other three was Musa Daura, said to be a relative of Mamman Daura, President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew.
“I represented Deji Adeyanju in the matter from 2005 until 2009, and I can tell you categorically that he was not only discharged but also acquitted,” Mr Keyamo told PREMIUM TIMES by telephone Thursday night.
Mr Keyamo said he represented Mr Adeyanju on a pro-bono (free) basis at the time, buoyed largely by his longstanding interest in helping students from legal dilemma.
“Immediately I heard he was a student, I picked up the case and by the grace of God we won it and he was discharged and acquitted,” Mr Keyamo emphasised.

The prince is just making noise talking about projects embarked on by Buhari and Bindow in the last three and half years. The people of Adamawa should not be deceived by the prince who has paid received his cut from APC with no project any where.
Several political parties have joined the Atiku train in Adamawa, except if the pathetic prince is divinely ignorant like his lifeless Buhari. May we be liberated from the hands of incompetent rulers like this ignorant prince.
kahal29: The Crown Prince of Adamawa Emirate, Alhaji Mustafa Barkindo yesterday asked the electorates not to vote for former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2019 presidential election.
Barkindo, also Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs in Adamawa State, noted that Buhari would win the next presidential election while the state governor, Senator Jibrilla Bindow would win the state’s governorship election in 2019.
He made the remark in Yola, the Adamawa capital yesterday inaugurating some coordinators of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to mobilise support for Buhari/Bindow at the grassroots.
While Barkindo is the first son of the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Aliyu Musdafa and crowd prince, Atiku is the Waziri of Adamawa Emirate, next in command to his father.
At the inauguration yesterday, the crown prince explained that inaugurating the squads was basically to vote for Buhari and Bindow and other APC candidates only.
He said, “I am confident that Buhari would defeat Atiku Abubakar in Adamawa State. That is why we are here to plot this teaming squad to go out and deliver every unite in Adamawa State for Buhari/Bindow.”
“We must work hard to give victory to Buhari in Adamawa State and Governor Bindow,” the governor added
He noted that he had decided to form the squad in the 21 Local Government Area (LGAs) so that the APC will sweep Adamawa and defeat the Waziri Adamawa in the 2019 elections.
He urged the electorates “not to waste their votes on any person, but vote Buhari and Bindow only. They are the only people who can guarantee the future for Adamawa people because of many development projects embarked on by Buhari and Bindow in the last three and half years.
