Each senate rule is unique and dies with that senate.Since the inception of the fourth republic,we have had the 1999,2003,2007,2011 and 2015 senate rules all unique and differant.

You cannot try forcing an obsolete 2011 senate rule on the 2015 senate.If the senate bureaucracy has prepared a 2015 senate rule,you must work with it andnot coming to claim it was forged.

The only way you can prove forgery is by tendering the original.The stupid witnesses are expected to tell the court that there was no amendment to the 2011 senate rule forgetting that senate rule is now obsolete and cannolonger be used for the 2015 senate.

So unless the prosecution can produce the original unforged 2015 senate rule,this case is dead on arrival.

Thank God you are not the judge. Your assertions are shallow. What would happen if the Clark decides to change the rule to suggest that there would be no election for SP but rather the oldest senator would have it automatically? Senate rule like construction are rules that no individual or group has the right to amend without due process.

If you say the current 2015 senate rule was forged then you must produce the original 2015 senate rule shikena.It is not by lining up witnesses.The CCT case comes to mind.After all the initial gragra is the case not already collapsing?

You lack knowledge and comprehension. Did you read the report where some sections of the rules were replaced without due process? Saraki and Ekweremadu might be free from the forgery allegation but not conspiracy

To me, this is needless as it doesn't help the ordinary masses. This face-off is costing this administration so much. Things aren't looking good and one would expect cohesion among political class to be able to fight off the numerous challenges staring us in the face.

The judges have to constantly lias to fix court days. Please who knows the penalty Saraki and co could face if found guilty?

Buhari and co should know when to let go and allow sleeping dog lie. I don't like Saraki as a person just like I do not like Buhari, but there is nothing we can do about the fact that as of today, they are are president and senate president. If the president and those urging him on this path of destruction and anarchy should know we can continue to fight so many battles on different fronts and expect progress. A wise man would have used the emergence of Ekweremadu to his advantage by making him a valuable tool in reaching out to the south east. Fighting the deputy senate president, the most senior Igbo man in govt, is a further proof of marginalization as alleged by the region. It's time to let the sleeping dog lie, we can't keep moving from one crisis to the other

If the police wanted to arrest Ekweremadu and Saraki, why not just go ahead and arrest them? Why publish it in the news first? Why give them time to plan their counter move? What kind of senseless, backward, stupid, idiotic, archaic people do we have running these systems anyway

This cat and mouse game has got to stop. If you have enough case to arrest someone, arrest them. Heaven will not fall on top of earth!

I didn't see where the made any official statement that they want to arrest the accusers. Very soon you guys will run out of ideas.

Well-done Buhari atleast stealing is now corruption.

The most annoying thing is that these monies were looted and starched in banks and buying of properties. It would have been better if they had invested same in production and boost the economy.

I don't understand wailers any longer; so if a thief is caught in the south we should wait until another thief is caught in the north to balance the equation, before naming? Is this the intent of federal character in our constitution?

That's one thing I loved about GEJ. He carried every governor along,regardless of your party.
For eg,in most of his trips,very prominent among his entourage were Kayode Fayemi(apc),Peter Obi(apga),Oshiomole(apc)etc. He just respects protocol.
If GEJ was attending a christian function,then top of his team must include Tinubu's wife,Fayemi's wife,etc.
Even when GEJ came to Imo state for a PDP function(infact to receive decampees to pdp),his chief host was still Rochas of apc who received him at the airport before he(geJ) left for the venue of the rally.
I think apc is driving this party dichotomy too far. Its as if,PDP must be treated like losers of a war that must not be allowed to come close

And carried our money with them regardless of tribe, religion, gender etc

The press like to garnish their headlines to draw excitement from uninformed Nigerians. The CCT has adjoined the case to a date to be announced later. How does it amount to setting Saraki free? The witness is booked for another case today hence there was need to adjoin the case. Excitements and half bake information everywhere.

Is this war properganda or what? All these people blowing the fan for the NDA are clearly not from Niger Delta. They should visit the North east to see the devastation of war. No one would be comfortable to be in a country where the government chickens out at any threat and opt for dialogue. If its true we lost 50 soldiers then we are in for massive reaction.

Buhari you must understand that you have many supporters in the South east.

The amendment is for clarity purposes and to avoid unnessary litigations that over burden the CCT. If there is serious infraction against the act and seen to be criminal, the CCB should charge the person to the court. It can only save the light ofender who could claim error espesially in anticipatory accet declarations if the person is still in office.This amendment is not far reaching and at best a window dressing because these investigations are largely carried out after the officials have left their offices. If the bereau is investigating somebody who had already left office and foreclosed his accet declaration, what good would his invitation be if found to have compromised?
