Politics › Re: Buhari To Inaugurate Onnoghen As Acting CJN Today by Chiboboski: 11:35am On Nov 10, 2016 |
kcnwaigbo: Section 231(5) gives the NJC the powers to extended the tenure of the acting CJN beyond the three months!! The fifth section is clear. The President can appoint a acting CJN and cannot re appoint the same person after 3 months. There is always a way to go around some provisions of the constitution lawfully. I like Onnogein and believe he could be ripe for the job but the President knows better. |

Politics › Re: Vacuum Looms In Judiciary As Buhari Yet To Accept Recommendation Of New CJN.. by Chiboboski: 3:51pm On Nov 07, 2016 |
kcnwaigbo: The constitution does not give the president the powers to reject or nominate anyone else. His role in the appointment of the CJN is purely passive and ceremonial. Have you ever seen the constitution talk less of reading it? The President can appoint any senior lawyer to be the CJN provided he has the reasons to convince the senate. And what if he chooses a south easterner? |

kcnwaigbo: Lol which Court? Which Judge will assign the cases? No Judge will be arraigned unless there are indicted by the NJC.
After all their noise will the AGF or DSS try them themselves? They will soon know how powerful the judiciary is My brother don't expose your ignorance. The judiciary can't be more powerful than a nation. The President can appoint a special judicial panel to try the judges if the need arises. The most important thing is to carry the people along. |

Politics › Re: FG Withdraws Forgery Charges Against Saraki And Ekweremadu by Chiboboski: 9:56am On Oct 07, 2016 |
The level of sensationalism is too high amongst our youths. The AGF took a wise decision to remove Saraki and Ekweremadu from the suit. The would reduce cumbersomeness and grandstanding to enable the prosecution to be direct. The duo of Efeturi and Maikasuwa have to bear the burden of defence and going down. If they are eventually found guilty, the election would be annulled which is the singular purpose of the prosecution. They would want to drag many people along with them. |

ayindejimmy: it's nt economicaly vaible to prosecute all those looters. We're in a recession and we need all the money we can get. If we try to jail all of them the cases will take years with appeals and delay tactics. You cant start spending the money when the is still on. And Efcc is also spending millions on legal counsels. So u see, d govt is in a delima. If only those looters had jus leave our yam alone In any case they have spent most of the money. To return the money is more beneficial to us and the prosecution. The year before election would see many big men going to jail: this APC master card for winning the heart of Nigerians. |

snowwhyte607: Now which of the courts is to be obeyed, FHC Abuja or FHC Owerri? Nigeria justice system is a huge joke it's only one court that sacked Ikpeazu. The court sat over the case for many months and gave her judgment before any other court. I wonder why people are so ignorant of legal matters. Ikeazu can only gain back the seat only and only through appalate court but for now let him continue to deceive himself. |
Politics › Re: Adesola Amosun Proposes Plea Bargain by Chiboboski: 3:59pm On Jul 08, 2016 |
This a good development. Now justice will put on a human face and reduce their punishment after the loots would have been recovered. Their council have done good job by telling them the truth. Who said the anti corruption war is a waist of time? |
Politics › Re: Federal High Court Affirms Ikpeazu As Governor by Chiboboski: 3:17pm On Jul 08, 2016 |
seunmsg: Two different cases here. It is only the appeal or the supreme court that can reverse the decision of Justice Okon Abang of the federal high court and not another judge of a coordinate court. This new decision has absolutely no effect on the earlier decision of Justice Okon Abang. Ikeazu remains removed as the governor of Abia state until a higher court rules otherwise. In fact this Owerri case is good news to Uche Ogah because Nwosu if he had won would create confusion in our jurisprudence. The Abuja high court has the ace for now and only appellate court can upturn its judgement. |

WOCKHARDI: So what happens when all the opposition politicians have been intimidated and silenced and we are in a one party system - where even the party members dread the leader? Is this not what we had during the military regimes? We are almost there. All politicians all over the world have skeletons in their cupboards just as every asshole has sh*t inside. EFCC , please extend your probe into the ruling party politicians cupboards - if you you don't want to be seen as being used. we better have one party system instead of PDP type of opposition |

AntiWailer: Na wa ooo.
Before the illiterates start defending him.
The investigator revealed this under oath in a counter affidavit.
You can not cook 'cockk' and bull story under Oath.
1. EFCC did not call a press conference.
2. EFCC did not tweet it.
3. EFCC did not post on Facebook
4. It was read in court under oath to convince the court why the account must not be released since it contains stolen funds.
Even Fayose's lawyer quickly asked for adjournment when he heard the overwhelming allegations
So the new phrase paid for and promoted "Media Trial" is not applicable here.
If u must wail, wail with ur brain.
Read more here. Only Nairaland mods know why they refuse to put it on front page
https://www.nairaland.com/3208594/real-reason-fayoses-counsel-requested My friend wailers are paid to wail with their mouth not brain. The moment they start using their brains wailing would stop. This is the first rule. The second is: start wailing the moment you see news headlines, don't read the full story because you may be discouraged. |

DWJOBScom: LOL.................
EFCC spooling stories since time memorial The same way Diezani alison-madueke was the leading headline on all newspapers as pioneer for corruption and later charges dropped for no reason( I guess the judge got bored and wanted another form of entertainment ) so is the new one from EFCC.
I pity the gullible ln the new Administration of Criminal Justice, if charge more than one person for any offence; all of them have to be in court at every sitting for defence. Since Diezanni is not available, efcc has to drop her charges so that the others would continue. If you don't have any bias agenda l hope this explanation answers your ignorance. God bless u! |

OLADD: All these would not prevent Fayose from exposing Buhari's satanic agenda and misrule at least not until 2018. Thereafter, the worst our new Emperor can do is to have him arrested and handcuffed like Metu and co. The court would grant him bail and life continues. No man is God. Does he look like somebody who can keep secret? He threw his last weapon when he mentioned Aisha in Haliburton scandal. After that have u heard of Fayose again? |
