Hi guys! I just wanted to drop this here. I have an ongoing SOWP but I applied for visitors visa with the new portal on the 28th of October and it got approved today. It’s actually possible to apply for visitors while waiting on another TRV or PR application. I understand that this is something some people may not be brave enough to try without seeing who it has worked for first, which is why I dropping this here. Good luck guys! |

Frankrobbn1: Exactly, this is where case notes are very much helpful than the generic message pasted on the applicant's MyCIC account.
It will end in praise. Hi Mr Frank, please I sent you an urgent direct email. Please respond when you can. Thank you! |

Pee2Jay9: Congratulations are sure in order.. Pls state the reasons for previous denial and how you addressed them.. Are you for masters/uni or PGD/college? What is currently showing on ur application portal? Pls did you submit Police character certificate? Previous denial was based on ties, financial status and purpose of visit.(initial application was done with spouse) Reapplied without spouse to address ties. For funds, I invested the available funds in TB and presented investment certificate and reference letter stating it was fixed for 6 months. I also presented thé breakdown of remuneration and benefits from my place of work. Study leave letter stating immediate reabsorption on return. For purpose of visit, I tried to make my career plan a bit more specific and detailed. I am looking at a masters program in University of Guelph. Police certificate was submitted. On the profile, it’s still saying eligibility under review. Medical is still under review too. |

Hi guys! So I applied for gcms notes on the 5th Via applygcms and it was quite insightful though I can’t explain the meaning of most terms and codes. Received it yesterday. Timeline: Reapplied: June 10th Eligibility passed on gcms: 30th June Medicals review assigned but not started: 30th June (I submitted upfront and I noticed it has been under review since July 1st. I don’t know why) Criminality: Passed Information sharing: Complete, ready to be reviewed. Original passport request assigned but not started: 30th June AIP sent: 5th August but I received on 6th Officers notes: previous refusal noted, rebuttal in SOP noted. Documentation adequately supports proposed study(in my own words). Eligibility passed. Final decision pending biometrics and medical result (even though the application is complete.)
So fingers crossed. |

Frankrobbn1: Once it starts reading WE ARE REVIEWING YOUR MEDICAL EXAM and review of ELIGIBILITY are both running concurrently, you will definitely receive a medical request shortly.
Congratulations!
It will end in praise. What about when you have already submitted medicals with the application Since June 10, what does this review mean? Mine has been reading reviewing medical report since July 1st. Eligibility and background running too. Has anyone experienced this? |

orlahtohbadt: WES is quite different. It is done course by course, so the person inputs each course with his grade for evaluation and not the final CGPA for evaluation. Ok |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by chichi93(f): 9:06am On Jul 17, 2020 |
orlahtohbadt: I'm sorry but that is not how it is done. A WES evaluation of a third class degree with CGPA of 2.36/5 gave 2.74/4. It's not by percentage. Well I can’t say for sure how it’s calculated but 4.5 on a scale of 7 is definitely less than 3 on a scale of 4 not more than 3. It is 2.5 out of 4 precisely.

Tarry: Evaluate your grade on WES. 4.5 of 7.0 is above 3.0/4.0 and you will meet minimum admission requirement of many schools in Canada [quote author=Tarry post=91792724]This statement is false. 3/4 is 75%. While 4.5/7 is 64% |

Frankrobbn1: You shouldn't panic okay, the visa officer is reviewing your medical result from the panel physician in order to ascertain that you won't be a risk to the Citizens of Canada. Should the visa officer have any concerns about your medical result, they might request you to redo the medicals. Meanwhile, this may occur on a rare occasion. Most likely you will pass the medicals in the long run.
It will end in praise. Thank you very much |

Vesment: Please which is the fastest way of sending and receiving passport, submitting direct or sending through dhl and paying for return? Am in ph and I can't go to Lagos that way you can call vfs and discuss the DHL option because it will cost effective and less stressful cos you don't even know when it will be returned and you can't be waiting in Lagos till whenever it's ready. |

raymege: But we've seen people who are even 100 years old get Study permits here and outside.
Truth is, what could count as an advantage for a 100 years old to a VO could count as a disadvantage(and vice versa) for a 20years old, example a 20years old would most likely demonstrate less home ties than a 100 years old.
There is some element of truth to what he put up, but an application is all ab9ut countering the grey issues you think would be a concern for the VO and provide some clarity.
The age factor and gap years can always be countered.
It isn't illegal or a crime to want to study even if you are 100 years old. lmaooooo @100 years old! Nawa! |

UBCcookies: Good day team, thanks to everyone that have contributed to this great thread. I'm July 8 and I got a request letter for my transcripts, duly completed family form(imm5645). I submitted the completed family form with my application and I don't know why they're asking for it again. House, please do I have to submit their birth certificates since I didn't do that? I need your advice In my opinion, you should just send what they asked for specifically. Birth certificate of your siblings is not a requirement and they didn't ask for it. Also did you fill the family form that had provision for your siblings? Cos there is an older version of the family form that doesnt. Confirm its the same code with the family form you initially submitted. |
