Politics / Re: BBC Documentary On Rebranding Nigeria by chienigma(f): 10:03pm On Oct 22, 2009
Rebranding Nigeria! Na with mouth? Sort out the problems from the root and the country would rebrand itself. Otherwise it's like painting a sepulchre, there's still a corpse in there. cry cry
Family / Re: Would You Pay Your Children For Chores They Do? by chienigma(f): 9:49pm On Oct 22, 2009
Pay fire! did anybody pay me for my own? Only two reasons could make me do that sada) Remembering with 'great fondness' how my parents gave me money or issued me a check for all the chores I did (never happened!) AND (b) If they are able to pay me back for carrying them, giving birth after all those labour pains, all the tender care and sleepless nights (priceless!). And oh, not forgetting the breast milk. Then I can pay them for the chores. grin grin grin

The Almighty, Omnipotent and Merciful has His ways. Always wish your leaders well.
Do not pray for their failure as the consequences will be on us, your fellow citizens.

when the 'military goggle master' died, what were the 'consequences' on us citizens?
Romance / Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by chienigma(f): 10:48pm On Oct 08, 2009
@mybad, @posakosa,  I am Nigerian and I schooled in Nigeria also. As for 'their' new way of speaking english, i guess it's one more thing to copy from america, abi? cheesy

@nethacker, if i hadn't been told by anyone, my opinion would still be that your degree doesn't make you a good wife, home training does. It's as simple as that. smiley

Romance / Re: What Women Do That You Hate The Most? by chienigma(f): 3:29pm On Oct 05, 2009

Romance / Re: 10 Reasons Why Guys Dump Girls by chienigma(f): 1:57pm On Oct 05, 2009
All My Friends Broke Up With Their Girlfriends:  This is by far the most immature reason on this list. While my girlfriend and I are curled up on the couch watching "The Devil Wears Prada," my newly single guy friends are out shredding the karaoke waves with Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" and tearing up the town. That conflict gives me wanderlust. It's much easier when we are all in for a quiet Saturday night with the significant others.

Is this actually a reason? You might as well divorce your wife later on because all your friends are getting divorced.
Romance / Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by chienigma(f): 1:46pm On Oct 05, 2009
I think it all depends girl in question. I hold two degrees in Engineering, not yet 25, and unless i tell you, you won't even guess that. My mum has always told me that a woman's best asset is her character. I personally don't like people who think or act like the world begins and ends with a degree. Good character has nothing to do with a degree, it's just something that you have or you don't. Guys need to be confident and secure in themselves though, and not scamper for 'safety' every time they see an educated girl.  grin
Politics / Re: Yaradua Launches New Naira Notes. by chienigma(f): 8:46pm On Oct 02, 2009
His face looks like the condition of our nation. Typical black man, they never retire from office for any reason whatsoever, even when it concerns their health. They prefer to die in office. grin grin grin

Literature / Re: Say You're One Of Them By Uwem Akpan Is Oprah's Latest Book Club by chienigma(f): 3:53pm On Sep 25, 2009
opad:

Who the hell is Oprah? I detest her ever since she made those remarks about Nigeria and asked the American govt to sever relationship with 9ja. Suddenly evryone here praise her, good one for Akpan though. Her show used to be my favorite cos i was proud of the fact she's black doing magnificient things o'er there, but i was devastated when she made those Ugly defamating statements on Nigerians. Too bad im not in US.

I'm with u joo. Oprah lost me as a fan of her person and her show when she went on that anti- Nigeria campaign of hers. I couldn't care less what she thinks of anything now.
