Goodday all, please a friend called me that someone wants to sell a Toyota Camry 2003 for 670k last. Only issue is that the engine is smoking. I really don't know much about cars except the basics. My questions are
1. Is it a minor issue?, What are the downsides
2. If it requires changing the engine, would it be full engine or half?.
3. And what's the cost of a Camry engine half and full

ogas them my younger bro is begging me to help him with a car ..the thing is he has no experience and has not got his licence yet what do you guys thing its hard to take him seriously advice pls thanks
Get him a car for running around or for Uber?, You could teach him if you have the time, or better still start the process of getting a license for him, he would go to their designated driving school, one stone, 2 birds. Then you can be testing him with your car if you can, make sure he knows the value of driving safe and not reckless before getting him his. I would advice to make sure he contributes toward the purchase of the car, that way he has a sense of responsibility and accountability to himself

If not for saboteurs hell bent on tarnishing the image of Nigeria, PMB is a very fine and intelligent leader.

France has refused to let go of Black slavery in Africa through its colonies, unfortunately for them, Nigerians are very intelligent and distinct from other Africans who have refused to stop thinking like "monkeys". How on earth will France dictate the tunes and set rules for single currency in West Africa? Is that not madness.
[b]The previous administration rushed foolishly into currency swap deal with China to favour importation of junks into the country by Igbos over local manufacturing. Very silly set of people who know nothing about economy or how to manage one.

God bless PMB and all patriotic Nigerians working hard despite naysayers to make our great country stand again.

That was done by buhari administration, not the previous

I don't know if I should reveal that now or if it should come in the story. it is extremely unlikely that we will see agbonyibo in the flesh again carrying out the same activity so maybe I should reveal it....wait, make I think am. check again in a day or two. I am highly disappointed with you to say the least,.. From pass post I read about you . You seem to be very intelligent person.. Am starting to feel that am much smarter than most people on nairaland..
And my exposure living outside the country has shape who I am and how things are done in a sane world. So let me explain to you my point of view.. It is only because of you and you only am going to break down my point....

USA is the power house of the world .. Economically no country can stand near us .. We got military, science ,technology than our peers .. The richest person on the planet is an American..

Now with all these advantages Most American leave pay to pay check. A study came years ago and still holds till today ... saying that a large portion of Americans do not have up to $500 stash away for emergency purpose.. Americans are in debt, most leave on their credit cards and most are in student loan debt. Some will be in debt until they are retired.... And crazy thing most don't own their homes.. It belongs to the banks

Now if an average Americans are in debt on till their retirement age , what makes it possible for anyone in a third world country will be able to save for retirement or have good savings

The economic situation in Nigeria makes it harder for their citizens to save. Nigerian minimum wage is about 30k naira a month, correct me if am wrong.

Conclusion...... I am not looking down on Nigerians at all or saying they are not capable of saving money aside. I making more of an excuse for them that due to economic hardship, which is not their fault, but the government fault, that saving will be near hard to do to or almost near impossible ..

Hospital bill can send an American into bankruptcy or wipe out their total savings

I have been going through your comments for a while, sometimes you make lots of sense, other times, not so much. You seem to throw around the fact that you base outside the country so much as a big achievement of sorts. This is a faceless forum, so anyone can claim what ever they deem fit.
Not to undermine your claims, but you must understand that you aren't the only one 'exposed' to outside the country. Being outside the country doesn't refine your thinking, rather it refines you to the laws and principles governing that environment.

All that being said, I'd love to address your claims of Americans and their saving mannerisms. I have been opportuned to live in different parts of UK, America and Canada, so I believe I have more exposure than you irrespective of age( since you live outside the country, you should know age is not considered).
The American system is a capitalist nation that is run on a credit system basis, hence allowing comfort for eternal indebtedness. This is why the average American doesn't see the need to save when he could access credit facilities. Why pay upfront for a 2,000 dollar tooth extraction when I could pay for it over a period of 2 years. That's the mentality that their system makes them believe. In UK they believe in save a little, and depend a little. I won't go into that because that's not basis of the comparison. In Canada, they operate more like the Nigerian system, still won't go in-depth. In Nigeria however, they do not run a credit based system, in fact the average Nigerian believe in save up to get it. Hence why there are lots of house owners in Nigeria. Getting your facts right, the average American isn't as asset worthy when compared to the average Nigerian, (if you have facts to disprove this, no problem). Back to your earlier arguement. The fact that American system is conducive for their citizens and the Nigerian system isn't doesn't mean the Nigerian system is totally bad. I really don't know why you love to bring down Nigeria at every slight opportunity, or see her citizens as below average thinkers, but it's totally wrong. First rule of business, don't undermine your customers because they make you. If majority of your customers begin to boycott your products, you'll go bankrupt in your engine oil business. If you live in America like you claim, you should realize that the average American doesn't come close intellectually to the average Nigerian.

I have a lot to say, but I'll leave it at this,

P.S, I know you'll either quote me with a derogatory meme, picture or response. Just in case you don't dissappoint, it shows your superio-inferior mentality. And if you do dissapoint me, then I take it you are mature as some of your posts portray.

N.B: in all my argument I made use of the word 'average'

Bro what more do you want bolt to do? Do you know the amount of people at their offices at any given day except weekends? The government is saying people should limit public gatherings and bolt is trying to do its own part by shutting down their offices. They clearly said ‘you can carry on driving when you wish to’ so it’s entirety up to you, after all you’re an independent contractor ba?

They said do more of card payments which is also saving your lives because the virus can pass through bank notes, you said they want to keep making money.

Don’t drive! If you don’t make money, they don’t make money. Or are you saying they should make it 0% commission because drivers are ‘risking’ their lives out there? Lol or you think they are not losing more money from the drivers they cant onboard?

What you should do if you wanna keep making money is:

Buy a temperature guage ( the ones the banks use) cost about 10k

Buy a big bottle of hand sanitizer, cost about 3k

Big tissue papers or paper towels max 2k.

And enter the streets with confidence.

Before riders enter your car, check their temperature and also give them hand sanitizer and tissue (incase they wan cough or sneeze) With that, you’ve done your part.

It’s just a precautionary measure. Bolt has done its part, now do yours.

Temperature gauge(hand held gun) is 3k5 max
The biggest tissue roll is 500naira max
Hand sanitizers, well, I don't know how much that cost
You could get a face mask or even latex hand gloves if you must deal cash.

Tim16:
You are working, but he doesn't have any job yet. He comes home late everyday at 12am. You clean the house and provide food for the family, upon that you don't nag, and you are good looking.

Madam you married a very very irresponsible man, and people like him always engage in careless sexual activities with random girls/prostitutes. Most times he could probably be in one brothel having fun. I just pray he shouldn't someday infect you with HIV. same thing happened to my aunty, her husband was living this kind of life and infected her with HIV and both of them died of AIDS living their 4 young kids miserable. It will only take a Divine intervention by the Almighty to change such a man and make him live responsibly... I pray God to come to your aid and touch your husband's heart to become responsible and respect his marriage. I will advice you to become a prayer warrior because of this for there is nothing God can not do. You don't only talk to him you also back it up with fervent prayer I bet you you will see result. May God bless your home. AMEN

What you just did is plain wicked and insensitive. Words are seeds, you shouldn't throw them around just because you can. I don't support her husband coming home late, but that doesn't mean you jump into conclusions of infidelity. From the conversation she painted, he doesn't come home drunk, and she hasn't had cause to suspect any foul play. She is just worried about him coming home late. If you can't proffer a solution, you could have just read comments and not said anything. Don't destroy a marriage based on assumptions. Not all men cheat
