How many of you foolish ppl have ever seen a doctor and decided to reduce the price of ur services? My opinion is never to discipline your kids when you are angry. First of all did he drive out the car after being told not to, cos u didn't state so, and u were with him in the car. So do u want him punished because he is a bad driver who hit someone's car or because he disobeyed rules. If the former is the case the only punishment is stopping him from driving and enrolling him into a good driving school. If the latter is the case he would have to contribute to the repairs by handing over his most priced possessions to be sold eg his laptop, phones, he can be given a smaller phone to use eg. nokia torchlight. When u notice a real change in his behavior then you can reward him with a better phone. Just leave his education out of it.

Moral standards of course, or rather humanist moral standards. My child should know not to steal because of the effects and disrespect it would cause to the owner of the property not because he/she would burn in hell.
