FoodRe: Nigerian Foods And Their Calorie Contents by chiketee(m): 7:14pm On Oct 25, 2013
Everything you do in life requires calories( energy), even sleeping and breathing. OP never said you shouldn't eat those foods. The issue lies in taking in the amount you really need. So if you are underweight, load up,if u are over weight Abeg off load. A very active person eg an athlete can afford to eat pounded yam and egusi everyday and get away with it.

FamilyRe: Why Women Should Be Financially Independent. by chiketee(m):
Most guys won't like this because that's all the leverage they have on women. They are worried that once a wife gains financial independence that would be the end of their tyrannical rule. I've heard of husbands starving their wives of money for food when they "misbehave". We want full dictatorship. We don't want a woman's opinion to matter whether logical or not. The thing is women are evolving, they are becoming powerful decision makers and can stand on their own quite well, so it's left for us to exploit another way of gaining their respect. Luckily for we Nigerians, the females here are not evolving that fast, they still think all they can offer is Puccy and brazillian hair, so we've got nothing to worry about for now smiley

leofab: you mean caskets are now made with heavy metals, abi wood dey compress ni?
Take a look at the picture of the coffin on the first page, does it look like wood to you? FYI not all coffins are made of wood. It could be made of glass, metals etc. Wood is common cos its cheaper than the alternatives. There is no story to be created here, just let it go.

Enoquin: shocked casket failed to open ke?
What is so surprising in that a slightly squashed casket refused to open. Just like when the doors of a car are bashed, sometimes it refuses to open. Our love for sensational supernatural gist is funny
Jobs/VacanciesRe: People With Flat-Foot Cant Be In The Military: Why? by chiketee(m): 7:14pm On Sep 30, 2013
johnemeka: The simple answer is that there is a vein that passes through that curved area and the millitary boot is desinged with that curve. If you have straigth footh, the curve in the boot will constrict or block that vein and make it defficult for blood circulation.when one is on parrade the heart tends to pump faster to push More blood for metarbonism to take place for energy release to carry out action.
Anyone with flat foot will not survilve millitary because once he stays long standing or on parrade with the boot he will feel dizziness and will faint.
During my NYSC service I learnt about this from the Nigerian Red Cross society.this is why any time someone faints, you are adviced to remove the foot wear, belt, cap, loosen up the cloth.
Enjoy!!!
Na wa o. This your story is not true na. Lol, and so many ppl are liking the gist. Flat foot means the arches on ur foot are flat. The human foot has 3 arches which are maintained by certain ligaments and muscles. The function of these arches is to support ur weight and help in propulsive movement. So when the arches are absent you won't be able to support your weight longer than someone who has d arches

Jisox grin. Mediocrity everywhere. This is even below mediocre. So when a man sees a woman his brain secretes FSH and he starts making sperm cheesy shocked cheesy. The stuff I find most amusing is that he doesn't even have knowledge of basic biology. How did this unintelligebility in the name of science research find its way to pages of a daily? Nawa o. Anyway in my own research I found out that if you add water to water , nothing happens but if you add it to garri, hmmm something magical happens. Don't know What it means yet, but I go find out after i drink am finish and my research is published tongue
EducationRe: Most Annoying Common Grammatical Errors In English by chiketee(m): 10:01am On Sep 16, 2013
JMOI: Yes, you are right, but this is not usually the case. Often, when people say popular celebrity they are not referring to the celebrity's level of acceptance by the public rather they are trying to emphasize how well-known they are. For example, I've heard people refer to Nicki Minaj and Justin Beiber as popular celebrities and if you know who they are you'll agree with me that they are not among the most loved celebrities in America.

Coming to the second point you raised, certain things we say on a day-to-day basis in English language are not acceptable in formal settings like in interviews, speeches or examinations. In such situations there are protocols that must be observed. Three-thirty is not a grammatical error per se, but there are laid down rules in English language which must be followed. And one of such rules and formalities is that whenever the clock is at 3:30 or 7:30 etc you should say something like half-past 3 or half-past 7. The same goes for 3:45 etc, we all know that it is three-forty-five, but formality demands that you say quarter to 4. I don't know if this is clear enough.
Yeah it makes sense. No more three thirty in formal occasions . I would never even say popular celebrity , sounds weird shaa

EducationRe: Most Annoying Common Grammatical Errors In English by chiketee(m): 1:46am On Sep 16, 2013
Ok. Nice, but I disagree with some of the points. A celebrity maybe well known but not popular. Being popular has to do with approval and favour by the general public. That's why you have words like 'infamous' for celebrities who lack approval by the public. Hitler was a celebrity but he wasn't popular around the world. My point is popular doesn't mean well known, although for something to be popular it has to be well known. Therefore you can use the phrase popular celebrity for a well known person who has the approval and favour of the people. Not all celebs are popular . The one about three thirty , I also don't get how it's a grammatical error. It's just an alternative way of saying half past three. It's just like someone saying six thirty one in place of six hundred and thirty one.

Like repo girl said, learn to love yourself. Don't try so hard to seem interesting, it will never work. People like you are the ones who attract true and real friends in life. An extrovert may have a thousand friends but no real friend but you on the other hand might just have only two friends and the two would be original. Get very comfortable with yourself, start acknowledging that you are a shy quiet person and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you see someone you truly like who has similar interests like you do, trust me both of you will hit it off immediately without any awkwardness. To those who don't wanna be your friends cos they see you as boring, please don't even try to prove them wrong, just be ur self , like what you do , enjoy those quiet moments. If you are a creative person, engage ur mind. It's people like you that take the world by surprise while other so called extroverts are busy underestimating you

PoliticsRe: Okorocha, Catholic Doctors At War Over Abortion Law by chiketee(m): 10:02am On Aug 28, 2013
Well there are more pros in legalizing abortion than cons. Abortion has been illegal all this while but do you how many girls have had this procedure done on them before? My point is making it illegal does not reduce the rate, what it does is to increase quackery and abortion complicated by death and other serious health issues. The truth the catholic church has refused to be in touch with reality, they are against s.ex, against contraceptives , against everything. The truth is people will always have pre marital s.ex and get pregnant, and because abortion is illegal they end up on a butchers slab, at the end both baby and mother are lost. I rather have one lost than both. So legalizing abortion is a lesser evil.

cheesy. Wat a joke. Chaii wicked Nigerian doctors, and here I was thinking cerebral palsy was a permanent disorder of motor function secondary to non progressive lesions to the brain. Thank u for saving me from my ignorance. Niccur u ain't married to no doctor. And the part about drs being gatemen was freaking hilarious, a real master piece, it really added to the seriousness of the whole write up. Abeg doctors don't do any work, all they do is kill patients. the orderlies, the gatemen, the nurses , lab scientist, etc are the real hard workers and life savers, they are the ones who didn't go to mushroom universities, they all went to havard, they should be running the health sector not those useless prima donnas. At this rate u may pop a vessel in ur brain.

rastamouse: It is clear from what you are writing that you have very little knowledge on the subject of NDE. I will not engage you on any debate but will advise you to read and listen to the stories before you start believing anything in the name of science.

Try and explain this with the logic of the research that was published.

Did you read the part where it was stated that the research was done on mice and the findings may not explain human experience? I'm sure you didn't. It's funny how you want me not to believe scientists that at least have some facts but rather I should believe hearsay stories. Red shoe ko pink bra ni
