Christianity Etc › Re: Forgiveness Without Repentance? by chimex38: 9:54am On Aug 17, 2025 |
Thankgod89: Forgiveness was accomplished once-for-all at the Cross, but it becomes yours in experience only when you believe — and that believing heart is what Scripture calls repentance.
On the Cross, Jesus bore the sin of the world.
“He forgave us all our sins” (Colossians 2:13).
“By one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy” (Hebrews 10:14).
At that moment, God was no longer holding the world’s sins against them (2 Corinthians 5:19). Forgiveness is not something God is still deciding about — it is a finished reality.
“Everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name” (Acts 10:43).
Repentance is not “listing every sin” — it is a change of heart and mind produced by believing.
God’s forgiveness is not earned by repentance; it was purchased by Christ’s blood. But forgiveness is not enjoyed apart from repentance, because repentance is what genuine faith looks like. You and op seem to be saying same thing. The op is emphasising when there's an offender and the offended, the offender will only be forgiven if the offender comes to the offended in repentance. It can't be done in isolation between the Offender and God. My take is, you are correct if/when the offence is between offender and God, then request for forgiveness is from offender to God and no-one else(human) is required. Then Forgiveness is assured if God's sees the true intention to change( repentance) which goes paripasu with strengthened believe and faith for old converts during repentance via prayer to God or other means. Thirdly, If one is a new Christian convert for the very first time, his/her new found believe and faith in the Death and Resurrection of our Lord is enough to wipe out all his previous sins. This is God's way of reconciling man back to himself (2 Corinth 5:19) rather than sacrifices for sin and other forms of penance as found in the Old Testament |

emmaodet: No bro.
Check the break down of how to get PAT from NOPAT and notice finance cost was deducted. Finance cost was deducted from NOPAT to get PAT; this suggests that Finance cost is already included in NOPAT. Thus actually verifying Pa Emma's claims. You can't subtract from sth if it ( the subtracted amount) wasn't included in " the sth" in the first place. if I am not mistaken. therefore NOPAT includes finance cost from my understanding of your screenshots. |

BabsO2: Ellah being a baby in red oil has two risks to shareholder prosperity. 1. Greed of management. Not enough data to assess this properly. e.g. Historically GTCO management is far far better than FBNH management in this greed index. 2. Learning curve and establishment / development of stakeholders needed to mint money from the business. Based on these two and from currently limited available info I wish another person grab the so asset they want to purchase. Make them walk before running. @ bolded. Exactly what I said sometime ago. They want to sprint rather than organic growth. But I hope it works for them still. Maybe they can walk after covering 80% of their marathon sprint |

You are being realistic
People should not be kept in the dark You are right. It's shareholders right to know. That 'dark' is a strategic decision. Companies do it.. You hailed their PR in one of your comments. That's the goal all along. OandO did it They give out info when it should have the most effect where and how they want it. That's the PR you praised in one of your comments. It's the Politics of their business model in the short term I think |

Probably cheap for PRESCO Or they are paying off long term debts as part of purchase price. PRESCO has many integrating capabilities like an All-in-one suite. It's going to leverage so many of those assets and technical expertise to transform SOP I believe. |

bigpicture001: It's this ranking that will qualify u to the next club world cup If it's top 2 from each country Then Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal are off to a great competing start for the next edition in 2029. They have the beginner advantage based on 2024/2025 europe performance. Maintaining the consistency is key.. They have from 29,500- 36,000 points between them.. With arsenal in 36,000 based on their UCL run this season.. Though manU will have zero coefficient this coming season(2025/2026) based on their absence from continental football. Mancity with poorer coefficient of about 14,000+ this season will have to do mightly well to regain a spot and boot out one of Chelsea, Arsenal or even ManU before 2029. (much easier for City to sustain tempo against ManU since manU will score zero by end of 2025/2026 season(non-qualification) So ManU has to up their game heavily in 2026/2027 and beyond to cover up their absence this season(2025/2026) so as to stand a competing chance in 2029 club World cup. They have the greatest task to do. |

Streetinvestor2: In this life when u are a habitual lier. Even your good morning is questionable A habitual lier said that presco 250 billion fund raising has relationship to kpakus 250 billion raise. When a company is fraudulent it makes everything a secret and thr agent come to deny even when u come with pictures You can see how transparent presco is being by telling thr shareholders what they want to do with 250billion. It is now left for u as shareholders to decide if u wish to key into thr future vision or not the coincidence of the amount and timing of release from both companies were close. The speculation on the relationship between PRESCO n Ellah was reasonable at the time. (Though we know the clear winner if it were a race against time) I agree PRESCO has been transparent from time with good CG structure. I try to see current Ellahlakes as a company that wants to get the most of what they can get from the little they have.. Ellahlakes seem like a company that wants to grow spontaneously rather than organically. Hence; -Strategic decisions (piecemeal info) rather than fraudulent I share your concerns as well. It's a good thing their business is an outdoor business and not a closet.. They can't hide for long. |

BabsO2: It's possible ELLAH will come up with higher book value per share as they could revalue their biological assets. And that could be a driver for the sharp share price rise. In my post earlier this week i showed how PRESCO book value has been rising sharply even between 2004 full year and 2025Q2 perhaps since ELLAH used presco seeds their book value will just start shooting up followed by shooting up in earnings per share in years ahead. You may have a point. Revaluation of biological assets as they mature could be a stronger catalyst. |

Streetinvestor2: You can tell all the lies and manipulate SP via brokers. Thr is limit to lie u can tell on the audited financials. The government is involved and u have to pay them thr tax. It is all this month e no go pass. Can kpakus make just 300 million revenue is my interest in the result. What happened to companies that came with bad results this yr.Let me see how kpakus will be different. The clock is ticking We saw the going concern by auditors of oando. I will like to see that part too in thr financial results when it comes out I want to believe Ellah lakes can't do magic to reflect the current price in the forthcoming Financial statement. But I also want to believe they will produce an improved, modernized and worth presenting financial result. Compared to last year. Remember, results are compared Y-on-Y and Q-on-Q. FY2025 should be better than FY 2024 in percentage. |

Fred2020: In my view, if July 2026 is the deadline, they should be discussing fundraising options and kicking off M&A talks ASAP. M&A deals take months to close, and the longer they wait, the pricier it’ll be to buy out rival competitors.
I expect some to begin openly discussing their options this year or early next year.
I'll be keep the bulk of my insurance stocks come what may, I have enough fat to take any temporal dip. If it's really July 2026. Then Time line is very short. From months to reach out to partners for pp to months to discuss mergers &acquisitions, to months to raise equity or Debt to months for SEC and registrars to finalise and list new shares, etc.. Unless most have internally finalised major arrangements and deals. Still theres still a reasonable lot to do. Time line is very short. |
