The main purpose of earthing is to avoid or minimize the chance of electrocution. Any leakage or faulty current in the circuit causes the presence of electric charge on exposed conductive surfaces. Earthing provides a low resistive conductive path directly to the earth, which carries any such fault or leakage current.

Earthing can protect from sudden excessive surges, it also provides protection from lightning strikes. Any lighting strikes on the exposed metal or received through another path which is connected to earth line get discharged directly to earth.

Noted. But, I think that's the wrong way of soak away/ septic tank construction.

The two chamber system does the job better. The septic tank chamber receives all waste (solid and liquid) and continous decomposition/bacterial breakdown occurs in same chamber.

The soak away part receives all waste water via a linking pipe from the septic tank. The pipe is placed high such that only when the water reaches that level will it trickle in. And, this chamber usually has spaces in the block work to allow the waste water seep into the soil.

Having two chambers to receive waste water is more of a waste of resources and serves no particular purpose rather, might just worsen or complicate things not to talk of the waste of resources (materials and money).

As long as the pipe linking the septic tank and soak away chambers is placed properly (high and slanted), you're good to go. Also, there must be spaces on at least on section of the block work in the soak away chamber.

Anything else is a waste of resources in my opinion and an unnecessary overbuild.

-Roof vent
And many more.
You see some might later manage to introduce or later convert the small area there to room.

Hhmm... After listening to the phone conversations, I feel the pain of the client. I have engaged an architect sometime ago and after payment, didn't deliver at the set time. That conversation left me wondering what is the primary job of an architect and what is the primary job of a builder. I know here in Nigeria there is no system, that's why everybody can do any body's job. Architects of nowadays are more concerned about building than drawing, which always leave them bitting more than they can chew, therefore bringing out the unprofessional side of you.The only issue I see there in that conversation is time constraints. I will only advise the client to move on. As for achitects who are actively involved in building process from start to finish, please try to pay some attention to other clients that need your drawing services, they are equally important.

Difference is just colour I guess. KOKOIGBO is majorly reddish in colour. Itara is cream-ish. Itara is harder when it's too dry.

I will go with Kokogbo. It’s reddish in colour and looks very beautiful on your house after the wood works are completed. I was told it also doesn’t require any treatment. It’s a little bit more expensive than Itara though. Both are good hard wood, but kokogbo is it for me.

What's the ideal roofing height for bungalows and a story building? Is there a standard?
