You move the dish to the position of the sat you want to watch before it shows. All positions are stored in positioner's memory. Positioner is a set of it's own, some come with upto 90 or more memory positions free to be used. Ex: You can store Apstar 7 on 1, IS20 on 2 etc

If you noticed I specifically mentioned FTA stations that are on KU. But again remember that FTA cannot and must not be limited to Ku band alone or to dishes 60 or 90cm and below.To do this will mean a deliberate attempt to stifle innovation.Besides like odilibe said, take away the initial set up cost, C band dishes remain the most economical to run in terms of coverage and yearly through put.I have had my COMSTAR 3 in 1 for over 5yrs now and besides the occasional lnb and Jack change outs, it has remained ever sharp performance wise.None of the heavy rain storms in these parts have been able to shift the alignment.Whenever any new station comes out east or west, I simply move it to the position and track it without sweat.No need struggling in the sun to add a new LNB or going to buy another 90cm before I can track. It is essentially an install and forget setup.Now, how is that for economy?

It's just poor signal strength. Try to improve what you have already first because it's never steady, it can drop 2 - 4% of signal strength, so you need security, in this case I mean you have to achieve minimum of 65% on 4922a or 4922D+

Has anyone attempted attaching LNB on 2.4 metre dish to get Measat.3@91.5°E or Asiasat 7@105°E. Or is it not impossible?

@Fatjo7 Apstar 7 is now stable enough to track I can confirm but don't use Disney Frequency. Track with Tandberg Service freq 3743h 3000 try and achieve 90+%, then blindscan, again another tip is this, if you have Sony @63%, then move your dish slightly to your left while standing in front. Reason is this, if you move further right then you can increase IS20 but away from Apstar so if you are on IS20 already then what you are looking for is on the your left but you have to move as slightly as possible, SONY may drop 1% to 62 but Apstar will definitely come out.

@Fatjo7 Your can get good stations on Apstar if your Sony is 63% on 4922. The bottom line is that Apstar 7@76.5E is experiencing unstable and poor signal strength since two days ago. You have to be patient, when things normalize then you can try again. It's useless to try now. Track with SYFY 3720h 29620

Those hoping to track First Service. It's not that complicated as you think. The signals are on a fine line, I mean the signals are hard to stabilize but easy to track. First, please if you don't want to suffer use 90cm or better 1 metre. Track with 12.015V 29950. Make sure you get 80% on srt4922, then blindscan you will surely get first service, etv cape Town and etv Durban feeds

Guys, this is supposed to be like a family, I only lamented because I care about this forum, I also want others to feel the same. I am sure most of us can comfortably pay for DSTV subscription yet we are here. It's our passion a love for FTA that keeps us here. Killing this forum sounds stupid to me. Look no further than jamiiforum to see what watsapp group is capable of. Today that forum seems to be standing, hardly covers one page in 3 days. I believe the noble thing to do is talk to the old gurus that left to come back, taking the remaining ones doesn’t sound right for this forum no matter how much you want to convince me. Of course everybody has freedom of expression but if you care about something, you have to protect it. I don't want to say you people don't care about this forum, rather I am trying to make you see the light, killing this forum like jamiiforum isn't helpful to anybody. Again if you guys still want to play big boys thing on watsapp, I give my blessing since I have done all I can. You can't kill your own son because he acted prodigal.
I wish you guys all the best. I think I have said enough, this forum is yours to save or kill. It's your decision.

Thanks, I actually read it countless times and still didn't see any justification. The day you choose to be part of this forum, you sold your dignity to all members irrespective of your class. If people annoy you with give me Keys, is it wrong if they need it. Or maybe advice them how to get them. The entire idea of bringing old fellows together is laughable to say the least. Do you realize how much people can learn when gurus chat in here. What is it that annoys you about your fellow forum members? You should be their keeper not their killer. Please you are popular in here I understand but this whole thing isn't the way it is done. No need to contribute next to nothing here and keep the most important info from thousands that may benefit. Please learn how to give freely without discrimination.

It's not a matter of adding people or not, it's a matter of understanding purpose of everything you do. I was only trying to educate and make them realize it's not the best to hide what you know from people who don't know. If everybody feel like they do, who will be here to help new ones. How can we empower the younger ones to ensure better tomorrow in this country if this is what we are all like. It certainly doesn’t make sense to me, not that I personally need any of them. I am only voicing how our people who want the government to do better for them think

@Olason. I don't know what is going on here. This forum is about to be whacked. I thought this is about learning off each other, enlightening people who are interested, promoting FTA. Since when has it become a secret gathering. The aim and purpose of this forum should come first but it seems sentiment has taken centre stage. Listen, I don't have anything against you or your motives but how do you feel as a person empowering the already empowered or empowering the needy. Our personality defines us, I have noticed countless times your hatred for beginners but you were once one of them. Circulating Keys privately must be one of the reasons why you are dividing this forum. I have always kicked against the idea of nairaland forum being mouthy to prompt station scrambling, I said it's nonsense from day one. This is not the only existing satellite forum on net, infact it is mostly the last to receive most information. I thought there are men here not boys, the fun of FTA is to enjoy it while it last. If Keys come out share it because if you don't other forum will and one day every working key will become useless. It's the way it is. The gurus should endeavour to train the upcoming one, not go into hiding with what they learnt from someone.
We should become men enough in here, if this kind of thing continues people like myself that love FTA not because it's free will definitely leave this forum regardless. I just don't like where things are done wrongly.

@excelJ, there is a problem on that TP concerning audio and video, if you are using other decoders that are not strong decoder model, the audio will be skiping and there will be a break on the picture in 3 seconds, except Qsat decoder, again there are other strong model that does not handle the problem of that audio are:
srt 4935, srt 4950, but the worst is 4935, the picture do freeze while the audio do have eco noise sound, just 2 days ago, am seeing 4922A that was handling it very well, is now having issues with some channels like Aljazera, KTN, the audio is just skiping, i realised that there must be a problem with their audio and video broadcasting format, GURUS IN THE HOUSE WHAT ARE YOUR TAKE ON THIS ISSUE?

It performs better on Decorders with .stb file like 4922 etc than those that use .bin file like 4950 etc. The former has proven more adaptable than the later.

Coded or not makes little sense. The issue is about English Premier League. It generates much interest and raised higher dust and that puts the sat owners under much pressure especially when the owners are close to us. Our only hope is only to bring down Asian and middle east stations that play EPL like PTV and IRIB. Others can't even last up to one full month. So, the rule is don't touch EPL and you won't be touched. I advise you guys to share Keys and info when you can to people because you can't stop a train with bare hands. FTA is FTA, dst* paid a lot for the right, if they don't control their zone, they won't recover their money. Don't blame them, everyone in their shoes will do the same to protect his business.

It's working just that the East side is very difficult to stabilize depending on your location. Those in the north don't have problems with it but those in East and South Nigeria won't be able to stabilize it with 2.4m and below. That is just the problem.

IS20 you are looking for is C-band, so wrong LNBF to start with. Secondly, with that 3metres you can achieve much more than best of IS20.

Just noticed I got DDTV from the 3 you mentioned but there is nothing interesting about the station. Personally, I don't think Thaicom worth much.
