Why is it that successful people don't like to tell the secret of their success.

Speaking of GIG, I heard their management paid N50k each to their drivers for the lockdown. If true may the good Lord bless them. They really appreciate their drivers well there.

a4cube:
I have enquired with GIG, they require partners to start with 3 cars(Siena, Hummer Bus or any one they accept). That is like start with 6-7 million naira. Pls how much do you think they will return every week with 3 Siena?

Please can you or anybody else recommend some good Insurance company. Around Lekki axis. Thanks
herrlekan:

If your insurance cover is a third party only insurance,it only covers the repairs of the car ran into. Mind you if the cost of repairs is more than the maximum claim you are entitled to, you will have to bear the rest. That means you will pay the balance of repairs cost.

The insurance company of the car than ran into a comprehensively insured car will still bear the loss. This is because the car that ran into the other car is at fault.

Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by chinyce(m): 2:13pm On Mar 31, 2020
Please can you explain how the premium is paid. And the total cost.

oluwaseunla:

If the car with third party is at fault, and his insurance has to pick up the bills, the owner of the car will fix his car himself. Third party does not cover damage to the insured's vehicle.

Since the other car has a comprehensive insurance, his car can be fixed by his own insurance and they will collect their money from the insurance of the car with third party.

The key question is, who is liable? Which vehicle is at fault? That will determine how everything plays out. But remember, most third party insurance have a limit. Most are just around 1 million.

I got this from another group. It will help to keep us wise.

HOW “FAKE BANK ALERT” IS DONE AND HOW TO DETECT IT!
'Fake credit alert' scam is carried out using a method called 'Bulk SMS'. This scam is actually simple to carry out because all the scammer needs is your phone number.
These scammers already have a special 'high level' SIM cards crafted specifically for the scamming purposes.
If the scammer gets your phone number, and bank details, they customize a fake SMS which would look exactly like your bank's credit alert SMS, and then add the amount of money you both agreed on.
And within seconds, you'll receive an alert that'll look like it came from your bank. The message will look real and genuine and you won't suspect a thing!
HOW TO DETECT “FAKE ALERT”
1. If someone say they transferred money to your account, please make sure that the credit alert you received contains your 'available bank balance'.
If the SMS alert does not contain your available balance, then something is wrong, because any authentic SMS alert from your bank must contain the remaining balance in your account.
2. Simply check your account balance using your bank code or via your mobile app. Don't just see the alert and conclude the money is in your account. Or if you have an account manager, call him/her and verify if there has been a transaction in your account.
BE WISE!

COVID-19 Update-1
1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold
2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 degrees. It hates the Sun.
4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
10. Can't emphasise enough - drink plenty of water!
Update-2
THE SYMPTOMS
1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days
2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further.
3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing.
4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention.
Update-3
The new Coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days. How can one know if he/she is infected? By the time they have fever and/or cough and go to the hospital, the lung is usually 50% Fibrosis and it's too late.
Experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning.
Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, etc......
it proves there is no Fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicates no infection.
In critical time, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air.
Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat are moist, never dry.
Take a few sips of water every 15 minutes at least. Why? Even if the virus gets into your mouth, drinking water or other liquids will wash them down through your throat and into the stomach. Once there, your stomach acid will kill all the virus.
If you don't drink enough water more regularly, the virus can enter your windpipe and into the lungs. That's very dangerous.
Stay safe out there and kindly Share for awareness.

How was he able to screen shot the price page. I've tried to screen shot the price many times but it wont work. It keeps saying this app does not allow screen shot. An insider factor still has a part to play here. There is no scam you can play on the companies platform without an inside man.

Please comrades,
How can I get a POS machine for this hustle?

It seems like the best alternative.

A very good idea. Does any body know how to get a POS one can be carrying about for payment transactions. This transfer thing is getting out of hand. There is no driver here that has not falling victim. With Bolts lackadaisical attitude towards the whole thing. They keep passing the blame to drivers. And yet they want drivers to act professionally.

Nigeria basically imports everything. So cars coming in either for personal use or business use will be affected. The dollar has gone up now ,meaning for me to buy USA is at the rate of 375 naira. The cost of spare parts is also going to go up . Importers need dollars to buy parts from abroad, basically the cost of imported items is about to increase no matter how you look am ...

There is a recession coming soon , it has started showing signs in Europe and USA .. And Nigeria that depends on oil and goods from China, will feel it the worse

There were days when I will get jittery when I hear this predictions, but not anymore. Recession, global meltdown, oil boom and oil down turn makes no impart negative or positive whats ever in Nigeria. What ever stage it is the same things are still happening in Nigeria.

Bad roads, ASSU strike, looting of public funds, politicians jumbo pay, rainy season flood, epidermic power etc they've always been here. Even corona pandemic has not made any impart on this country 2 months now.

I'm not saying we should be care free but at the same time stop worrying yourself silly. And stop throwing panic statements, some peoples BP may not handle it. The fear of death is as dangerous as death itself.

That's so true, most drivers are not doing well at all.
They are out to wreck your car and move to the next one, even if you give them sound car like toks they will still mess things up.
My guy called me today to accompany him to the house of one driver, this guy used car for a month only managed to remit for a week and he didn't even remit at the right time then he kept giving excuses.
You need to see this car, even the papers expired he couldn't talk, car was just rough.
This guy couldn't just tell us why he couldn't pay, I just weak.
Assuming he was paying and the payment wasn't complete it would have been a different case.

Not every body that flashes a Drivers Licence that is a driver. The high unemployment has made people to try out anything. Many years ago in Abuja, I once picked up a trailer after convincing the owner I can drive it. When I've never been in a trailer cabin in my life before. Though I succeeded but not many will be so lucky.
To differentiate a newbie from an experienced person is a bit difficult, especially if the person is desperate for a chance.

My people, please I need your help.
It is now a month when I rendered services to this guy with and his friend from mushing to egbeda and the trip ended 3k2. I didn't know it was a fake transfer he did cos no alert for all transfers that day. When I checked my account statement, I discovered it was only his own that wasn't entered. I tried putting calls across but it always gives me buzz response. I sent him message that I'm giving him a long rope to credit my account and if he fails, he will pay for it. Now I can't even connect with the number again.
Please help me do justice to him as usual, injury to one is injury to all. Thank you

A month is such a long time. A week grace is okay for them to pay. Although I don't think that number is still active. I sent a message, sha!

True talk. I learnt this the hard way. I jumped into poultry farming with out any knowledge of it. I only had the assurance of a brother who promised to guide me through it. But your personal knowledge is required also. The whole venture collapsed before my eyes like film trick. But I've known better. i didnt insult no one but if i was rude, i apologise.

my take is this, lets try to accept our truth then maybe we can improve our lives

the truth is that, most people here live in fantasy instead of facing realities of the work they do, as long as it pays the bill there is no shame being what ever you wanna be but the lies we tell ourselves, sometimes makes us believe in that fantasy.

some thinks because they are graduate that doing uber or taxify, people will start to lick their shoes or give them a grandiose welcome, but it does work that way, as long as you work in the service industry, you will meet different people, some who will be nice and some who will be rude, nobody cares whether you have a Bsc degree or a phd, what they care about is can you move me to my destination, can you render the services you promised

i think this is the reality most people need to know in this business, instead of the grand fantasies in their head.

that is my opinion and that is how people view this line of business.

i have worked as a waitress(a less prestige job) before i went to uni, so i know what i am talking about, do you think people wanted to know if i have attended courses to improve myself, they just wanted me to do my job, if mistakenly i poured a drink on a customer, do you think the customer will forgive me or if i thought i was bigger than the job, do you think, they will take me seriously.

The problem here in this country is people thinking because they are graduates they are bigger than driving uber, that is why they lie and lie online just to cover up for their lost fragile ego offline.

I can see your point. But you didn't start it off properly. But noted, thank you. So let's move on to another topic, please, please.

You do unless otherwise negotiated. That's the meaning of salvage title. Insurance calculated the cost of repair as not worth it and replaced the car instead.
That's why it's not something to just jump into. If you know what you are doing and can get it fixed cheaply then yes. You NEVER buy without having someone knowledgeable about car repair go check it out.

Okaaay!
Most of the cars there were displayed by the Insurance company. That means you must have someone in the US to inspect and coordinate the process and repair for you. And the person will likely collect commission too.

Iaai.com is simple. But before anything, you must have a budget you want to work around. Its really important. Another hint is, you only consider states close to the ports.... I.e east coast. But new York is an exemption for now. Just download the USA map and get an idea of the states.

I have been studying the sites. My questions might look silly, but please tolerate me.
The damaged cars. Who handles the repairs after payments. The estimated cost of repair is more than the actual cost of the salvaged vehicle. What is the advantage in all this.

Though that price is too good to be true because the 2003-2005 Toks Civic sells for 1.150 minimum (from Yankee) but if you so trust this deal, make sure you're not buying a rusty car, check the VIN Number, transmission & suspension very well .
Very very good car. Fuel economy is superb, Factory fitted AC is dope, maintenance is top notch except for the low ground clearance. I've had mine for 3 years, gave me good returns when i had no job, my wife's brother who drives it now takes good care of it too.
But I'll still advise you to take the VIN and do thorough investigation.

Just want to ask, can anything be done about the low ground clearance of honda civic, such as bigger tyres and extra large rims. And people always write off honda civic because its wheel keeps jacking off, we see that alot on the highway. Just asking.
