MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!!

I have received my money. No the fraudster didn't pay. Our own Radautoworks paid the debt for the scammer. I didn't get it the first time she requested for my banking details because I wasn't expecting that till she asked for it the second time. Even while sending it, I was wondering why she was requesting for it. To cut the long story short. She wired 35k into my account paying for the fraudsters debt. I was wowed by her action. I haven't experienced such magnanimity in my life before and it's such a big lesson. Thank you very much Aunty Radu.

The fraudster actually called me this evening after over a year of blocking me and not answering my calls. I don't if it's because of a stern SMS I sent him earlier or the calls you guys have made to him.
Thank you guys for the good work.

Like I initially promised, I will distribute N500 airtime to at least 20 people active on this thread. I know most people wouldn't want to post their phone numbers here so it will go like this:
1. Send me a PM
2. I will get your moniker from the PM and use it to ascertain if you are active on the thread. Being active simply means that first you must be an Uber/bolt driver and must have made at least one post on the ehailing thread.
3. If I ascertain that you are active, I will request from you via email the phone number you want the airtime on and the mobile carrier.
4. I will then send the airtime to the phone number you will provide.
5. You will have to come back to the thread to say that you received the airtime.

So it's that simple. Let's get it started.

A little Digression.

Dearly beloved,
We have all noticed recently that the heat of the day and the night was unbearably high. According to experts, this is due to the heat waves resulting from the emission of greenhouse gases.
The Meteorological Agency warns us to prepare for warmer days and nights. This preparation will require smart coping strategies and participation in climate resilient practices to deal with the damage.
The common effects of heat waves on humans are dehydration that can lead to unconsciousness or death, chicken pox, heat rash, and psychological stress.
In order to cope with the current climatic conditions, the experts advised:

1. Drink more water to stay hydrated.
2. Keep a bottle of water with us to remind us to take water.
3. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated beverages during this time.
4. Reduce the consumption of proteins rich foods (eg. red meats) as they increase metabolic heat.
5. Feed on fresh fruits and vegetables that are better options.
6. Monitor your blood pressure to make sure you are in the normal range.
7. Stay indoors (in our house or office) between 12 noon and 3pm each day as much as possible.
8. Take baths of cold (Room Temperature) water before going to bed at night.

Let us strive to conform to it because our life depends on it.
Let's be nice to share information with all our acquaintances.

Need to know

what is a tin?
The tax identification number (TIN) is a unique identifier for an individual or a company for the specific purpose of tax remittance. The TIN number is prepared by the tax office and issued to individuals or registered business / incorporated companies for proper identification and verification.

how do i apply for tin?
Individuals are automatically assigned with a TIN based on their BVN (Bank Verification Number) or NIN (National Identity Number). To get a TIN as an individual, you need to have a NIN or BVN.

Non Individuals such as (Limited Liability Companies, Incorporated Trustees, Enterprises, Cooperative Society, MDAs, Trade Association etc) can register for their TIN online.

You can check online to see if you have an existing TIN by clicking

I can see you have no sense.

Let me tell you the kind of work I do. I am the Chief Operating Officer of an Engineering company. I am a Strategy person. I'm on call 24-7. For example, my boss and myself hold regular strategy meets at Silver Cafe, Ozone Center during working hours. And we do alcohol while we meet. I am free to resume and close when I want. I am even free to work from my house. I coordinate my team remotely regardless of where I am.

I just have KPIs I deliver against, every month. And I am paid well for the job. Plus I have an official vehicle and a driver. Official vehicle, not pool car.

Stop writing about things you know nothing about.

WOW! Your CV is loaded. Clearly is not pinching you the way is pinching us, at all.

Please o, many of us here are looking for a Way out via paid employment. That is if you really want to help, as a COO of an Engineering firm.

Instead of pushing guys into ehailing suicidal mission to pay N110k operating licence fee etc.
Outright wickedness!

Abeg! Wetin be KPI.

Judgemental as how?

if saying some people are just frustrated on little thing is an insult it means you fall into the categories of 'some' of those who warrant it.

Good I am something.

If I beg her I did that to achieve something which is payment. Can u say the way you talked to her was that same way others who called her did?.

If that picking call and not talking is annoying it's because different people have been calling her and saying things to her.

Sincerely this is not a support for her or the driver but the way we go about posting riders number here is wrong my own perspective though.

Though all approach cannot be the same. She should be arrested. For using a service and refusing to pay. I have forgiven riders who were taken by surprise the final cost of the trip, I collected what they have and let them go. Posting a riders number here means 1. driver has exhausted all possible avenues to reconcile with the rider. 2. The rider is probably going about doing same to other unsuspecting drivers and getting away with this scam. So we make it a collective effort to stop their escapades. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. We are against ripping of drivers by riders, platforms etc. Whatever sympathy she is wipping, She should pay her debt simple.

I got there but couldn't see her, called her to know where she is, but she was just behaving like a novice.

All these while, I was equally looking out for the CBD and Lastma men, to know when to zoom off and run away.

Suddenly, a Sienna car stopped at my back so I couldn't see when Lastma might be coming again. Before I know what's happening, a Lastma van have blocked my front with over 10men in it. (some tax force were with them). the car at my back has gone by thens.

This is pure set up. From the behaviour of the girl, the sienna that packed behind you shows it was a setup. That girl is probably inside that sienna observing the drama. Immediately the sienna packed behind you was when you should have taken off. They'll claim you packed along marina road and vehicles were packing behind you. Lucky you.

Me, I don't pick riders on Lagos Island as a whole. Once i drop, I take off to either VI or Ikoyi, places I'm familiar.
Lagos Island is confusing to me, from ever since I was in secondary school till date. Their oneway streets and LG touts and agberos. And now lastma and so many uniforms I cant identify, they're all thieves. They've collected my N10k once and that will be the last. Heartless people, just avoid them no matter the surge.

House, I have a little story to narrate, it's kinda funny and long.

On Friday night I was at Badore with a friend, when I left his place I decided to go online with the hope of closing by 11:30.
Few meter from his estate I got a request from one nasty lady.

Rider: oga where are you?
Me: good evening, please kindly check your app you'll see my exact location.
Rider: oh, please don't give me that app location shit, where are you?
Me: good evening, I'm few meters away from your house.
Rider: what if I don't answer your greeting what will happen? Please I requested for a ride not greetings come quick I'm late.
Me: I'm here by your gate

She came out of the gate, entered the back seat, I didn't bother looking at her, the next she said was their usual, you can start the trip Mr. Greetings, I responded "thanks ma"

I started the trip, destination was DMATEL hotel, Lekki.
When we get there she called her guy to come and pay, the young man came out, this is where the drama begins.

Rider: baby I'm here (she wave thro the window), then jump out of the car, gave him a tight hug.
Boyfriend: oga, collect this for your new year (2k)
Me: still on my seat, collected the money and I recognize him (my trainee)
Rider: ingrate, you can't even thank me
Me: I called the guy by name (Collins), I stepped out of the car

The atmosphere changed
Collins: who are you, you know me? (He came closer)
Me: Remove my hat, shake his hands, he melt
Collins: sir, you do Uber?
Me: I held his hand and walk towards the lady, (she was already at the reception)
Rider: baby any problem? Where did you know him?
Collins: Stella are you blind, look at him very well
Rider: Jesus! She knelt down

Collins is the latest in my team, joined September, a trainee, he reports directly to me (we are together now preparing to go offshore), while the nasty Stella is a trainee in my unit as well, she works with my departmental store manager.

Me: Collins so na you dey light this hot and nasty oven?
Collins: sir this's our first date, I came into town today to resume on Monday
Me: you owe me no explanation nor apology, just be careful else you'll loose your job, all eyes on her big booty.
Stella: sir please I'm sorry I wasn't on my right mindset
Me: Stella, every driver you see out there are humans like you, they deserve to be treated with love, care and respect. It's the unpredictability of life that put them out there, some had or have better jobs than you, some have families, wifes, daughters like you, sisters like you, some are more educated than you.

Those young men out there risk their lives, abandoned their families, friends and love ones, they risk their cars, those that doesn't have it go as far as leasing it just to keep life going, they risk their time, and resources just to get you to your destination safely and yet you treat them like trash Stella because your think you're doing them a favor. Because You think you're somebody and they're nobody, because you think you've arrived, Stella I'm disappointed in you. I have many military boys as friends doing Uber, what if it was one of them you did this to?

God is the breath of life in you, you sin, you offend him every moment of your existence, has He ever treated you that way? Why are you so wicked Stella. Why are you doing this to yourself? Don't you know when you deliberately cause pains to others greater pains await you? Stella Can I surprise you? You failed all your tests when you came for interview my boss dropped you but I begged him to accept you, God positioned me there for you, though I knew you from nowhere, I saw you as my little sister, I wouldn't want you to go out there selling yourself. Everyone rejected you including your supposed seismic unit leader. I have to beg the store manager to accept you with hope of transferring you to the seismic unit when the oldest intend is gone. Stella you break my heart this night, it shouldn't be you. What if I intended marrying you or your suitor meet me to find out few things about you, what will you think I will tell him about you?

I've never seen the kind of brokenness I saw in that lady that night, she cried her soul out, she begged me and vowed never to maltreat anyone.
I held her, lift her up, hugged her, hugged Collins then departed from them. I spoke with Collins yesterday he said that the lady cried and weep till day break, she neither eat nor drink.

Today we had our first operations meeting for the year, then after the meeting we had our first management meeting as well.
Last night I spoke with some of my guys to help me vote Stella to seismic unit. I beg the store manager to make the move. So during departmental reports the store manager nominates her for seismic and the seismic team lead opposed the nomination (as I instructed him) though he didn't know that I have already campaigned for others to vote, and the only way it can resort to voting is when the proposed team lead oppos the move.

My boss said we should vote, we did and Stella won.

We sent for her, immediately she entered the exco-chamber her soul left her as she didn't know why she was invited (this was her first time in the chamber).
I stood up.... Called her by her name..

Stella, uuhh, the management have decided to .......... to drop you from ........from the store effective now, your service is no longer required .............. required there. Handover everything concerning the store to the store manager. I paused while staring at her for like 30 seconds, then I proceeded.
Then in addition, we are glad to inform you that you've been redeployed to the seismic department, from tomorrow you're resuming there, go home and prepare to resume tomorrow. ( I said these stammering and dragging the words).

To my greatest surprise this lady stood there, within a blink Stella collapse, there was confusion in the room. Safety and medics entered with a stretcher and take her to our clinic downstairs.

After the meeting my boss asked me to carry his laptop and follow him, when I get to his office he asked me what is the problem between me and Stella, I told him I don't have any problem with her, I narrated the whole incidence to my boss, he was surprise. The only thing he said was "forgive her John" I told him that I forgive people even before they offend me.

I visited her in the medics, she was fine. She asked me which church I attend, I told her it's not by church but the fear of God in you and your respect and love for humanity.
She came to my office spend the whole day with me, we drove home together with Collins , now both of them are in my place.

5 of my colleagues are ready to join Uber, 3 have already ordered for 2010 Civic as I recommended, expecting delivery this evening. They've registered online, took the test, waiting for their result.

what I experience about life is; what others does to you doesn't count, it's your reaction that determines your reward.

I like your story sha. But your name does not really reflect your good side at all. Unless you're telling someone else's story. Don't change the name o.

I pray the girl changefor good. Many people are broken, wounded and frustrated in this country. I usually have pity for riders like this. You treated the case very well.

Also I am interested in joining your fleet as a driver partner soon as the opportunity arise. Thanks.

#3,500 fuel used,And the engine cried for 12hrs plus, 11,300 naira grossed, @8.43pm, 10k paid out for parking at a wrong spot in the airport - mm1. The pain felt is unexplainable. I'm about to invest heavily in a fleet, so I want to know how it feels like being a driver ,n the pros n cons in the business. Just 4 days in this - So far,I feel the drivers are not well protected and prone to risks while the riders get some protection. In my view, riders should also have their face registered, not only the drivers (I'm sure bolt or uber wouldn't want that to avoid low patronage, in the end, they don't care about the drivers but the Cash flows). Also the bolt commission doesn't seems high if only the fares can be slightly increased ( sometimes the fares are ridiculously low), if they can't, commission should be reduced. Also, I think drivers that finish up to or more than two hundred trips monthly should be compensated at the end of each month. People will be right at a taxi park full of available cars, but will order bolt to come pick them up from d spot, because the fares is low, they dare not request for a local taxi, I'm still observing, n will drive more in my free times, maybe I will take it slowly with the investment plan by starting with just two cars, I hate to lose, hence I practically study what I'm about to invest in. Kudos to all drivers, wish you guys best of lucks, n b safe out there.

Every driver has a story. We tell it to encourage others not to give up. Mine goes like this.
It was 10am, just collected the corrolla from the company after serious drilling and screening, was going home to just rest. At that fly over bridge that connects 3MD to Ikoyi, there was a gradual hold up. Getting to the top of the bridge to join the line that goes to Ikoyi. One danfo jumped infront of me. Mehn, I just collected the car and you want to bash it. I swung to the right to avoid a clash and too much English. Gbam! Right infront of me was the men in yellow. Lastma. The danfo zoomed off. I have already been pushed out of the line. Next move, bloody mistake. Had to start begging commuters to let me back into the line. Lagos drivers are wicked. Nobody send me. I was driving alone on one lane trying to join the main line. More mistake. The men in yellow was still watching from afar. Mistake continues. My silly head didn't think. Just want to get home and rest. Only to drive towards them. The next thing, is they started posing me for picture. One of them jumped in beside me. They said, I have created a third line. I was supposed to join the line from the beginning where I met the slow traffic going to Ikoyi. Hence i have broken traffic rule. I was trying to explain my self out. More mistake. The guy stretched his hand and grabbed the car key. Gbam! The trap has caught meat. I almost fainted. Just got this car, have not worked a day. My account was red, pocket empty. Don't even have money for fuel to begin work the next day.I ended up at olowu. If you've never been there pray never to. Not even a request should take you there. Better say Amen! Lastma are the most wicked. Here I understand the meaning of police is your friend. We started debating the price from N90k. We agreed 15k Then started making calls. I called the whole world. Finally raised closed that. Went back to the goat (guy stinks with all the money they make) the lastma boys handed over my case to treat my Bleep up. Offered them 10k with dehumanizing begging. Before they released the car.

Hustle has started since. Seen more obstacles worse than these. The Almighty makes us stronger with them. Keep pushing guys, never give up.

Bolt don't take commission from your toll bro.
You can always check this thing yourself.

When you close work, calculate the total tolls you paid, substract it from your revenue.
Divide the remaining from your revenue by 100 and multiply by 80. Then add the toll to it.
It will give you exactly what is showing on your Net earning.

Eg.
You made 15k(tolls and commission inclusive)
Your paid #900 toll that day.

15k-900 = 14.1k.

14.1k/100 = 141...

141*80 = 11,280.

11280+900 = 12,180.

12.18k is what your net will show if you earned 15k and paid 9h toll in a day.

Chai!
Calculus again.
Even for ehailing.

But with what I’ve seen here I’m not sure he’ll be able to pay 2m within 2yrs. I know him to be a good guy in school but it’s been a long time and the people change everyday. Make God help us all

I was once in this situation, where I had successful friends who wanted to help but could not for the sake of friendship. Continue with the plan but you need to make him understand that N2m is not 2naira. For someone who does not have N50k to handle N2m asset is not as easy as it seems. Prepare your friends mindset to appreciate this gesture. This happened to me, a friend who wanted to help me, but before could release the money he made me go through some drills, after sometime I felt I don't need the money anymore, and moved. I and the guy are still friends today, i appreciate his effort, he was surprised I haven't mentioned the loan anymore. Work on your guy for some months and prepare him, his reaction will show how he will fend. Good luck.

My brother, the past 8 months have been really testing, while i was at that construction job, I took it upon myself to pay our last born high school tuition despite my 50k salary that doesn't come regularly but it wasn't this hard. I had friends who would call to ask for favors , i was generous to them, in fact from my little savings, i was able to set up a plantain farm in my home town. I didn't have much but i could afford the basics. Life took a different turn immediately i left that job as I couldn't cope with salary delays anymore, sometimes 3-4 months at a stretch. Since 2016 when i Joined the company .
I am someone who keep to myself and ask no favors ,even the girl i thought we were made for each other started giving flimsy excuses that her mother despise ijebu people, that i don't attend modern church and all those opata yarn.
I didn't brood about the issue as i was thankful we haven't gone deep.
So after picking up that car and hustled for 3 days, I was excited about the daily income prospects and job networking, then this AC issue came up, zapping all my energy and hard earned money . It's depressing!
To open my morning devotion and pray these days seem like a task .
I am trying to be positive and i hope God in his infinite mercy open the book of all my good deeds and look upon me with mercy.

In all these things you're more than conqueror, you're unstoppable, no power can limit/hinder you. Rejoice even while in the storm. If me, I can make it, through the finished work of Christ on the cross, so can you and any one else who believe. As long as you don't give up.

Just get home take a long relaxed rest. Strategise and hit it again. If it does not shift, go home rest again. Strategise and hit hit over, and over, and over again until you breakforth. Only don't give up.

i know say if my village people tire for my matter, dem go release me.

Stop saying this. Change your language bro. We know there are powers behind this things, but stop magnifying thoses forces. Speak words like He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world. All things work together for good for you....
These are the positive things you need to be confessing. And gradually you will see changes after a while. Is not easy but keep trying to renew your mind and belief and changes will appear.
