lol how about humanities?

I just got it lol. It's a Doctor miracle's product, I figured since I use the relaxer and serum, I might as well use the shampoo and conditioner too. I'll report back after I use it.

Oh really? I never tried that but I hear people say they condition their hair. I'm always like, "aren't you supposed to each time you wash your hair?" lol

But I just bought the 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner all in one. lol guess that won't be possible.

LOL@ relaxie. . .yeah, it's hard to cope with.
you get addicted to the relaxing too even though the whole process is all tiring. sometimes, I'm just too lazy for it such as now it's summer and I don't have to go to school so I left my hair w/o relaxer for almost 2 months now but school is starting soon. And natural hair doesn't cut it for me, I don't see myself maintaining that either, it's way harder than using relaxers.

bt u should wash your hair at least once a week and at most 3 times a week
i wash mine appx thrice a week
but i alternate between co-wash n regular poo-wash
from what ive learnt, the frequency of the wash doesnt necessarily lead to breakage, but the stripping of moisture
so if u wash your hair everyday and can maintain a healthy amount of moisture. . .
u should be good to go (im in no way an expert however)

as to the perming, when i used to, ill wait like 6-8 weeks, noticed growth also
the aim of perming is to relax the grown bit so its only natural u give your hair enough time to grow a substantial amount of hair to relax,
else, u end up re-relaxing your ends which leads to weak brittle hair

what shampoo/conditioner do y'all use? I used to use tresemme then pro. . .(something lol). Now, I use doctor miracle. I don't even know which is better.
The poster mentioned not liking Doctor Miracle products but I think the relaxer and serum are pretty good.

for my finger nails, I have on the clear nail hardener and for my toes, I have on hot pink nail polish.

Can't be bothered painting my finger nails any actual colors right now, I put my hands inside water way too much.

How often should hair be washed? (I'm talking about a black female's hair. I know most whites/latinas wash theirs everyday lol)
Usually, I wash every week but now I'm hearing that's too much and it leads to breakage and stunts growth. how true is that?

Also, how often should I get a perm, I mean apply relaxer? I get a perm every 4 weeks, that is every month. But I haven't gotten one in almost 7-8 weeks now.
Is that bad? does waiting longer make hair grow more? I noticed my hair grew though. I plan to perm it this weekend.


PS: Apologies if my questions have already been asked. didn't read previous pages. But answers would be appreciated.

my grandma was in my auntie's house in owerri living there for a 5 weeks recovering.
and then she went back to the village.

she is okay now, until she fell.
but i think she is getting better.

@ chiogo i see myself as blessed to have 4 of them still alive.
my grandma who was staying with us in the states for about 3 years recently had surgery and she recovered well. thank God.
and she recently fell because it had been raining so much. thank God she didnt break her hip.
my other grandma on my father's side had a stroke about 5 years ago and thank God she is okay.
but she is very weak. i dont want to jinx anything but maybe 3 more years?  

Aww, well enjoy them while they're still here.
one of my grandmas died due to an error during surgery at 63. pretty young.

i have tried it with roasted corn.
we ate it all the time.
i ate the corn but NOT the pear. the pear made me wanna gag! it was nasty and one of the worst things ive tasted. lol
awww i miss the village.
luckily all my grandparents are still alive and well.  
the masquerades were beautiful and scary at the same time.
i always went with at least two of my uncles for protection.
fun times.

you're lucky to have both your grandparents.
my grandpa died way before I was born. both of them. sad sad.
my grandma would roast yam for us whenever we came home. yummy!!

I haven't been to my village since I was 13.
Usually, we go every christmas but now my grandma is dead(bless her soul), we don't have much reason to go there.
We'll probably go next year.
I remember when I was little during christmas, my siblings and I would always hang with our cousins
and go to relatives' houses and they'd give us money, etc lol fun times.
By the time it was time to leave, we'd have so much money.
And yeah, I hated the masquerades, they scare me.
I love pear(ube) lol, tastes really good with roasted corn. you should try it.
