[God bless you real good Akannitommy for this reply...I think the best option for us to wait when he gets there ,then he can open a separate GC key for myself and my baby..Thanks once Again And I hope and pray your family visa get approved too with speed quote author=Akannitommy post=106164651]Hi, NB: Read through earlier posts from page one of this thread and you will be able to piece together all answers to your questions. I will respond to those questions I have ideas about and maybe provide caveats where necessary as follows; Yes, your husband can apply for SOWP for you and visitor visa for your two year old baby while still in Nigeria. However, the rule of thumb is to let the student land in Canada, receive their study permit (which is different from Student Visa) as well as their (Social Insurance Number) SIN before applying. But if there is a reason you cannot wait then go ahead and apply then submit other documents when he lands. The risk here is that IRCC may review the application earlier than you expect (I have seen folks get decision in 2 months, in fact someone got decision in 6 weeks lately) so if they review and the application lacks essential document like study permit I cannot comment on the implication. I think you have a better chance of getting approved if you had applied with hubby then now BUT I have also heard of people who got approved even under this circumstance, so there you have it! I opened a separate GCKEY account for mu spouse then added the kids on that for their application. However I have heard some people say they did using their own GCKEY account. Technically, (assuming the information I had was accurate), either is possible. But personally I used a separate account (just one with Spouse as principal applicant) for the family. Your two year old (an any applicant below age of majority - 18 years or so - doesn't need to give biometric data. However, your baby needs to give medical - my son of same age got medical request. I think this must be because this is a potentially family reunification route as they can stay for as long as the student is in status. Ordinarily visitors (old or young) don't require medical pre-COVID but maybe things are changing now. No, you do not need IELTS for SOWP application but if you have it submit - we submitted WES report for my spouse because we had it prior to submitting application. It doesn't matter whether you have a lot of your own money or not. It is just a smart move to submit your own account statement in addition to the principal applicant. What is important is to show satisfactory POF --- you should research what qualifies as "satisfactory". Your extend family members - parents and siblings - for you and hubby, investments & stocks, properties, business registrations, proof of current job/employment or own business etc should work as home ties. However, you must be very deliberate in articulating these in your letters. Do not assume just submitting documents will serve as proof --- explain it well. Best of luck in taking the next steps. It shall end in praises.
|
[Thank you for this reply...God bless quote author=makano post=106165762]Hello Chiso To the best of my knowledge, spousal permit can be done when the applciant is in Canada.. Reason is because one of the major requirements for applying for a spousal permit is for the applicant to apply with his/her study permit and also SIN, and you cant get these two until you enter Canada.. You both can do family application i.e application for your hubby, yourself and your child as we have seen many applicants going through this route and getting their Visa... A moniker of recent(I think last 2 weeks or last week) got Visa for herself, her hubby and kids.. You can read back and get the moniker so you can contact her on how she did hers... IETS is not compulsory for a study permit application, its only compulsory for EE application.. Yes a baby of 2 will have to do Medicals, but I think their prices is different from the normal adult price... You can confirm this when you get to the Clinic.. Peace
|
Please I posted this on the SOWP thread although still yet to get a reply...please if there's anyone who has genuine answers, please reply...Thank you Please can someone just reply...I have some urgent question. Can my husband apply for SOWP for me whilst still in Nigeria or should he wait when he travels to Canada before applying? *Does he need to open a separate GCkey for me and my child? *Do my baby of two years plus need biometrics and medicals? *Do I need to write ielts? I work here too....but I don't have enough money in my account... Can only his MBS be enough? And lastly... *How can we proof home tiles? Please someone should reply. |

[BolaT53 I don't really think you have any reason to fear since you have already submitted your application.... You said your aunt is your sponsor and you don't bear the same surname... Its a red flag to me but I think you should explain more on why your aunt would want to spend her hard earned money on you... If I am in your shoes,I will write another SOP ,talking more about my aunt ,her love for me and if there's any reason why she should sponsor me...like if she made a promise to your parents or something... You can also back it up with pictures... You and your aunt, maybe when you are little, picture of your aunt and your parents, picture of your aunt and you when you graduated... Just any picture that shows how close your aunt is to your nuclear family, you can send it as a mail or through webform. Your aunt paid your one year tuition fees and sent the living expenses to your account,, I only hope when she sent the living expenses the transaction details carried that name" living expenses for school "if it did, then you have nothing to worry about... Only pray a Good VO handles your application and also make your home ties very strong since you're not married... I hope this helps quote author=BolaT53 post=106138916] Good evening I’m a silent reader but I have a concern my application was refused based on personal asset and financial status. My aunt was my sponsor we don’t bear the same surname she sponsored my undergraduate degree throughout my years in school provided evidence, she has paid my 1year full tuition for my and sent me my living expenses though when it came in it was a lump some and it came few days to when I had submitted my application. I did not submit any landed documents or personal assets in my name I submitted her corporate account statements about 45m and my own personal statement with 5m she sent me alone how do I address this Abeg and the company is a charitable organization and she owns it.
|
From the little knowledge I have gotten from this platform...I think you can use whatever it is you need to use as a home tie...Landed properties are good too,but I think it will be more reasonable for you to say why you need to come back to those landed properties, state the importance of it,if it was inherited from your father or mother, you can say they gave it to you as a gift and its very dear to you,all these should be added to your sop because stating you have landed property is not enough, you also need to do some compelling explanation and also in the area of taking a loan, please and please... Do not let them pay that loan into the account you wish to use for my Bank statement... You can get the loan in a separate account, then you can be sending it to your MBS account little by little with reasonable transaction details for each transaction as a source to where the money is coming from... If you plan sending your MyBankStatement in December, you can get the loan that subsequently send it to your MBS account... I just hope you understand what am trying to say...it will save you stress of explaining how the lump sum got into your account... This worked for my husband and he got his PPR but whichever way you do it...I pray it will end in praise! shawnmich: |
Congratulations Lianna2020...was actually looking for your moniker on the student thread but couldn't find it...am happy for you..please I will love some guidance... And also....what are the documents to make my application strong and what other ways can I prove home ties? And Do I need to open a new GC key or my hubby applies through his own?? OK....I give God all the Glory o because truly what God cannot do does not exist...This is actually my husband's application and it started in January when we got admitted to Bishop's University, Quebec, after a supervisor agreed to be my husband's supervisor.. Part tuition fees was covered by the school and we were asked to pay part which we didn't do. Applied May 19 Biometrics June 1 Upfront medicals July 5 Medicals updated to Passed July 13 Sent updated LOA Sept 13 through webform BVL and PPR September 21st To say the truth what my husband had in his account was 10mil,we were actually scared it wasn't enough and wanted to send property documents but we kept alive and believed that God will do it with that 10mil Documents submitted All IMM forms Picture of our family Consent letter with a letter headed from my place of work Two reference letter his HoD and his senior Lecturer(hubby is a lecturer too) Affidavit of return stating he will.come back immediately after his MSC to continue his lecturing career Police certificate Covid 19 vaccination card through webform though Ielts with overall band of 6.0 English proficiency from his Alma mater Mostly all he submitted, and God came through for us...I found this platform after we applied and most of the things we learnt here like ordering GCMS ,affidavit of return, we applied to good use...want to specifically thank all the gurus that give us good advice when we need them...God will bless you all for your endless sacrifice... Me am coming back next year for my own o....I will be going through SOWP...make hubby go first... I Love you all |
Can anyone help with a copy of the consent form?? |

All we have now is God...please let's not stop encouraging ourselves on this platform, this wait self can cause sickness but we must make ourselves happy and give ourselves hope...Don't stop hoping o,it will surely end in praise I believe...please where is @Emeenaka bikonu God bless you all |
Lianna2020 please you're going nowhere mbok,we appreciate your outputs and contributions.., for me I think Justwise is saying you shouldn't mention names of anyone, if there's a question or inquiry or request,it should be put generally to the house, if anyone have answers to it,they can respond. I think I understand where he is coming from but he didn't put it in the write sequence, I believe at least most of us are above 18 and we should be addressed with respect and maturity... Please forgive biko Lianna2020: |
Happy Sunday everyone.... Its been a while |
Good morning all...Hubby's GcMS notes landed this. Eligibility - Blank Criminality- Passed Medical - Passed Info sharing- In progress Pre -assessment notes says - No CAQ Meanwhile hubby sent CAQ approval letter through mail and webform...please what do we do now...should we resend the CAQ again, primary office is Nairobi while secondary office is Shanghai... Thinking of him sending it to Shanghai this time around |
Yes...from my friends who have travelled ,you can carry all these but I will advice you not to carry Groudnut oil cuz there is more than enough Groundnut oil in Canada and for organic soaps... Best shot is to put them in a transparent nylon and label them...if its black soap...u can use a white cellotape and label it black soap...I think it will save the stress of asking questions on what you're carrying... If possible label all your raw food stuffs and put them in a transparent bag. .foodstuffs like Grinded Egusi, crayfish, etc Lekiboboe: |
OK...let me just add a little of. What I think for people who might not understand a 23kg luggage...OK...just think about a bag of rice...A bag of rice weighs 50kg, half bag of rice weighs 25kg....so they're telling you whatever bags you're trying to pack, don't pack more than two half bags of rice ,so if half bag of rice is 25kg,if you remove 2kg,you will get 23kg...I hope this little illustration will help you to know how you will pack...safe trip to all the travellers! [Please go and do upfront medical biko..no time o quote author=frankob post=104402353] Even if I am not using NSE can I do upfront medical? Or just for NSE alone?
|
Congratulations.. I tap from this testimony, I hope and pray when there will come a time when I and my family will settle in Canada... It must come to pass!! quote author=funmihero post=104349018]Hi all, It’s my first time dropping a message here. I just want to share our timeline to encourage someone as I have been encouraged. Admission: My husband(40years) got a PhD position, Uni. of Manitoba. Location: Sweden on post-study resident permit as at the time we submitted our application, with 2 kids. Application submitted: June 13th Biometrics: June 21st Medicals: Not required Visa Approved: July 26th, no update on our applications till approval date Documents submitted: HUBBY: Letter of Admission LOE: 6pages, well organized in short topics, with emphases on academic history. We both started our education in Nigeria in a scarce profession (2002) at the diploma level. He finished his first degree at OAU, Ile-Ife, 2010 through DE, we both finished our masters, last year June in Sweden, fully sponsored. He leveraged the non-availability of the course in Nigeria and 95% of African countries (at graduate levels) as a strong link to Nija and Africa and prospect back home. We added links to the latest advert for our profession in academics that there are no qualified persons to fill up. And several other links to how we have been contributing to the development of our profession in Nigeria. POF: Approximately 65k CAD, account in naira (salary and savings account) and Swedish kronor, CAC certificate of a newly established company (late last year, with no financial transaction), a letter of support from his cousin who committed to offering her basement for our accommodation and a spare car for transportation, no properties, or assets. Certificates: All relevant certificates and the scholarship certificate from Sweden, IELTS, CV. Family document form: All our siblings are still in Nigeria, both sides. IELTS MYSELF LOE: Corroborated our academic history, attached pictures from 2002 and recent family pics. Stated we put our funds together for hubby’s academic pursuit (because I did not make any affidavit for the lump sum I deposited in his account, but I wrote a description in the transaction, stating for “Ph.D. project support”. I mentioned how we have supported each other’s dreams and our successes in completing our masters at the same time despite we have 2 young children. I mentioned that the kids have never lived apart from either of us and we are excited that Canada is very proactive in encouraging family unity. We sha promise to leave the country when hubby’s study is done, etc Certificates: Hubby’s admission letter and all relevant certificates, IELTS, CV Travel history: Studied in India and returned immediately after. Yes, we mentioned that we stayed back in Sweden because we decided to put our family’s health and safety first….corona virus restrictions, etc. Children: 7 and 4 years, we submitted the basic documents required with no extra attachment. Above all, God’s grace prevailed. We know we couldn’t prove how we will continue to sustain ourselves, but we submitted in faith. I wish everyone the best in this new month.
|
Order for your GCMS notes Send webforms and mail to the Nairobi office, you can write an appeal to know the status of your application... At least every week...two webforms...cuz this guys are sleeping... We need to wake them up... It Will definitely end in praise! Kaydelegend01: |
[Ok..i am very much Greatful for this response,we will do so right away...God bless you Sir! quote author=Frankrobbn1 post=104308930] There is no reason to be worried, having a fully funded scholarship from a DLI in Canada unquestionably improves your husband's chances of getting approval. Since you didn't include his landed property documents at the time of submission, you can do so now. Moreover, there are numerous of succesful applications that didn't include proof of property ownership in their application but got approved. Please go ahead with your plans by sending those documents to IRCC via webform. In the mail, you should state the reason for providing it now, you could say it was omitted or the documents were not within your reach as at that time. It will end in praise
|
Good morning @Frankrobbn...good to see you online,I have been meaning to ask this question although when my husband applied for his study permit,we didn't know about this thread...He got a full tuition waiver from Bishops University, he is going for his Msc thesis based... When he submitted his application, he submitted both the letter covering his tuition waiver and my Bank statement of 11m to cover his living expenses...we didn't submit any land documents or property documents at that time cuz we felt it wasn't necessary but from what I am seeing here I don't know if its wise to do so now through webform...he applied May 19th...thanks for your response |
Please I support this with my full chest, gibe us Landing gist and also airlines you used,if possible amount paid to a particular destination and most importantly how to carry foods like red oil, cray fish, dry fish,Egusi, ogbono etc. Biko you guys should keep us well informed... I decree and Declare, in this month of August ,we are going to experience a storm of PPR's in Jesus name...keep faith alive...it will surely end in praise!! GodsGabby: |
Amen Olaa123 It will go round in Jesus name, Amen! Olaa123: |
Good evening house So am led to pray for the house before we go to sleep tonight, I see all the agitations, anxiety and fear and I ask God to take control.
