I don’t think most people are against the amendment. Peoples problem however, is the timing.

The person that should be complaining about the timing is INEC except if political parties need time to perfect rigging. It might interest you to know that INEC where already working with the view that the bill will be signed.
Secondly, if the president knows that time is of essence ,he will not take almost 30 days to regect what can be done wothing 2 days at most.

Was OK.But due to some fall out of the election and other judgement by the court on some of the cases it was necessary to fine tune it.Mind you even Tue Nigerian constitution is said to be OK but there is always need for amendment which is normal.

Conclusion:
An average civil servant earn about N12,600,000 throughout his/her working life
An average senator in Nigeria earn almost N15,000,000 in a month.

Much as I wish that the minimum wage be increased to like 40k and I don't support the senators salaries in any way. Your mathematical analysis is not right.Minimum wage is for the list grade and it increases per year.Assuming everything is static without inflation, workers do move from grade to grade within the 35yrs and so multiplying 30k (for the lowest employee) by 35yrs is a wrong projection.

Our senators are not the problem on this minimum wage thing but our governor. You will see that the senators will pass it within 7 days at most.
