MadCow1:
Very weak interpretation I must say.

In a Nation where unemployment was high, infrastructural decay was high, insecurity was high, the economy was one track, militancy was high, coruption was at an all time high and all this in the midst of high oil prices is what you refer to as the good times.. grin

Now that oil is next to worthless and yet a new government is trying it's best to manage the affairs by putting in place long term measures instead of short fixes, you consider it bad.. grin

Lol.. I have a feeling you would have been amongst those set of Israelites who would have opted to return to Egypt because they had better access to food and water, didn't have to sleep in the hot dessert sand and didn't have to keep trekking everyday for miles without an end in sight.

Just because things are tough now does not mean the government is bad or that they are not working. The hurdles they are having to face is enormous. The oil prices has not helped either. The last government totally depleted our foreign reserves and left nothing to back up the Naira. No single refinery was built so where do you expect this government to get fuel from? The economy is still one tracked (fully dependent on oil). The supposed agricultural reform the last administration touted is nowhere to be seen. Electricity is low because of vandalism of gas facilities by the same militants the last adminiatration was paying monthly stipends to stop militating. And let's not forget the fight against Boko Haram. The last administration built new universities but failed to fix the decay in our educational system.

I feel the pain you are feeling. I have to put fuel in 3 cars one of which has a tank of approximately 110 liters and has a 5.7 liter engine that gulps fuel faster then you can say Oando. I have to put diesel in my Generator as well to supplement for the lack of power. I also have to cope with the increase in prices of commodities due to the increase and scarcity of dollars. I know the hell i passed through to get forex for my 2 trips abroad earlier this year. I still live daily with the fear of insecurity in Port Harcourt. I have lost a very good business link because of the financial crunch in the country. O and I just learnt today that the government plans to increase VAT from 5% to 10%. All this and yet I still say stick with this government and let them do their thing. I doubt the APC would blow this golden opportunity they have. If the problems of this nation were as simple as flicking a switch, they would have done so.

If after 4 years they fail, we would again go to the polls and fix it. We already have suffered for 16 years and more, another 3 years and some months is not too long to wait.

I still believe in this government until they give me a reason not to.

Don't be in a haste to pass judgement. I gave Jonathan the chance to work and I will do same for this government.

I am optimistic..

Hehehe whether you like it or yes, she's got charisma. The more you try to prove otherwise, the more you highlight pointers to her charismatic persona. grin

John Snow is an amazing character though. It's been long I watched the series but I remember he was pragmatic. He had so many leadership characteristics.

Guess what? The last government had 2 Nations Cup misses (2012 and 2015). No government has ever had thtat record.

I don't believe these have anything to do with governments, but don't come here and make infantile inferences.
