kjbobo: Peeps coming to Alberta this December and January...abeg prepare...this weather is getting worse and worse....classes,buses...schools are shutting down...please get a good winter jacket.......I am talking -37 degrees feel, 40 km/h wind and around 12cm snow build up....if you don't have anything concrete to do in December...just enjoy with your folks till January oooo...cos I promise you....you will miss naija at first....

....they don't think you can pay ur fees all boils down to ur sponsors financial strength....how much dey the SOA?....they don't tink you will come back boils down to ur home tie.....did u include any landed property documents ?...family pix? or investment in home country.....pls check for these.....

Book plenty for here o and for those who are not computer literate. I will advise u run a short course cos it's impossible for you to survive as most exams are PC based. It will be wise to increase your typing speed. You can get Mavis Beacon typing tutor to help you with that. If anyone needs help with Conestoga. Will definitely help with that.

ajokyjoky: Correct, that is what I intend doing after my 1yr PGD. I prefer doing PGD in 2 fields than spending 2 yrs on Diploma since the aim is 3yrs work permit. I intend starting the second PGD before the expiration of my current TRV ( 3 months to expiration) and then apply for one year TRV extension.

All this talk na just over calculating sha, but its best not to dive in blindly abi?[/quote]....Its best u complete all ur schooling before applying for a workpermit....just like dr_jay02 said...PGD doesn't neccessarily qualify u for Masters...alota Factors might be considered e.g UG grades +PGD grads+Work experience+sum oda requirements so my brother its best you opt for another 1yr PGD after your 1yr PGD summing up 2yrs...You can then apply for 3yrs work permit.....

But I still can't wrap my head why Chrigo is insisting that doing a 2yrs coop seems to be a good choice[/quote].....Spartan 300....The beauty of doing a 2yrs course is that you get a 3yrs work permit....doing a 1 year course only gives u a 1yr work permit...ok now going by the link...its talking about job offer....what if after ur 1yr course u do not get job immediately?....some times peeps wait 6months before getting job....and if u waste 6months looking for job, u have 6months left to work...am sure no employer would wana employ u with 6months work permit....but if u had gotten the 3yrs work permit and u're able to get job within 4-6months of graduation, u still have enough time to work and then file for PR either through PNP or through experience class....thats why 3yrs work permit is just so cool....

FISLAG: You don't submit your passport for online application, you just need to scan the data page and I think a blank page from it and upload. When your visa is ready you would be asked to come to the VFS to have your passport stamped. Shikena
