Those Egyptians really put up a good fight against Israel. And the Syrians, the mistake of their general to delay their advance made them lost their recaptured territory. very interesting documentary. Part 2 wil be 9pm today or thursday. |
Army kills 30 suspected Boko Haram members MAIDUGURI—Troops from 7 Division, Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, yesterday, launched separate preemptive attacks on Boko Haram enclaves at Ajigi, Kafa and Izza villages of Bama and Damboa council areas of the state, killing no fewer than 30 suspected members, including an Amir (leader) of the sect. Also killed were unspecified members of the group at Izza village in Bama town just as five Hilux vehicles mounted with anti-air craft guns and one 18-seater bus with foodstuff belonging to the terrorists were destroyed. A statement by the military spokesman in Maiduguri, Captain Aliyu Danja, yesterday, said the operation involved air strikes and ground attacks. Danja also said that the pre-emptive attack followed intelligence reports about plans by the insurgents to attack Bama and other towns in the state. The statement read: “Our troops launched separate attacks on Boko Haram enclaves in different parts of BornoState, where we killed 30 of them in Ajigi and Kafa villages of Damboa Local Government Area. “Those killed were suspected to be the group of terrorists that fled Damboa town, following an encounter with the security forces last Sunday. “Also, a pre-emptive attack on Boko Haram concentration at Izza town in BornoState, Sunday afternoon, led to the killing of an unspecified number of the sect’s members. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/army-kills-30-suspected-boko-haram-members/ |
zetdee: Not another retarde.d simulation. That's cos you read the article with a reetarded point of view. |
Thiza: @augustus no country should impose its own rules unless invited. Regarding Kenya they should have asked for assistance and definetly South Africa would have positively responded but as a pride many African countries shun any African assistance especially South African. The South African Special Task Force would have done a perfect job in support of the Kenyan security forces but the pride forced the Kenyan to asked for Israelis support which is not wrong at all.whats this one saying ![]() |
Dibiachukwu: LOL. PEOPLE DELUDING THEMSELVESi think you are the one that's deluded. get over it son... even ojukwu did before he died. in the mean time, you can move to mali until your Biafra fantacy becomes reality since you don't want to be a Nigerian. abi na by force ![]() and before you start. i am a confirm ibo boy and i think you are still stuck in the 60s.. probably lost in time ![]() |
Henry120: I mean, who uses RPG in a confined space?KDF ![]() |
NaijaPikinGidi: So sad that rather than protect public property the Kenyan Defence Force soldiers had field days looting the deserted Shops at the Westgate Mall. Not a good way to empathise with the victims of the attack! no wonder the attackers got away .from the look at the way the operation was conducted, it exposed a very major weakness of KDF capabilities in "urban warfare" which is a very critical skill in 21st century modern combat requirements (i trust our boys for that one )with due respect to those who lost their lives and (stolen ) properties, al-shaaab won this one on their home soil for that matter. |
It really pains me that Nigeria continues in the path of self hate and blind criticism that we never see anything positive about our society. We always wait for foreigners to do the job for us. I can't remember any government (not even the old and shameless gorrila we call "baba") that have recieved the kinds of accolades GEJ has recieved from westerners (the inventors of criticism itslef) and other well respected countries. We need to change ourselves if we want to see changes in our society. Datz all |
Mike..ZA:dude, lemme make it clear to you. Even if your artillery guns are placed 80km away from us, our military satelites will still pick your locations, special forces will do a recce and pin your artillery locations for return and precise hit, we position our artillery and motars, and the rest is history (while you'll just be wastin shells from 70km away since even your binoculars will not see such a distance) |
Mike..ZA:not overun but constantly being attacked. And so far they did not manage to kill all insurgents in all the attacks. Who told you any Nigerian military base was overran? |
agaugust: yes they did, i told you attack by kenyan army was the best decision to take against the terrorists in the shopping mall.but guy, the RPG too much na. That's what flash bang or stun grenades are for. |
Mike..ZA:so blowing up the building to collapse is the best way to free the hostages? What i meant by they had more than 300 is that they were enough to secure all floors to seal any exit as they advance to clear all shops with caution. It's obvious KDF and their intelligence unit are not trained in FIBUA and hostage rescue techniques. |
andrewza: Seems KDF blew up part of the shoping mall.yeah they did. and i don't think it was necessary. i mean there were more than 300 troops on ground aside from other security personnel. |
Mike..ZA:and you think the Nigerian side will be backed by stone throwing soldiers? ![]() |
Mike..ZA:guy stop giving prophesies from your dreams and start talking strategic. |
Mike..ZA:if you can just explain how, i'll gladly call you boss. |
Mike..ZA:more proof that you don't know what you are talking about ![]() is it clowning season already ![]() |
Fighter Pilot: Only a s.tupid commander who does not know how to lead his armies can end up with his men killed by being shot on friendly fire by own's airforce. I say again, soldiers fight on groups (sections, platoons, company or battalion) under the command, that's how teamwork works and no any soldier is allowed to leave the group and fight on his own. That way will help the commander to know at all times where his men are, so that when he calls for an ariel support will be able to communicate the position of the enemy with the Airforce without placing the lives of his men in danger. There is no any difficulty using the airstrikes in jungles, the main reason is to disorganise the enemy and make it difficult for them to fight in groups (order). You know well that even in football whenever there is no teamwork the whole team will lose.boss, you seem to confuse jungle warfare to bush war. Come to Niger delta jungle creeks. You'll praise Nigerian army for their efforts in fighting those creek militants. |
the legend: Really used to like this dude, especially his debut album. But these days the guy done kolo and bone dry....talk crap too.you need to listen to his new album if you trully know hiphop. |
andrewza: only a crapy pilot will bomb his own menguy, @augugust is right. aerial bombing in jungles are very difficult and you might end up killing your own. here are some quotes from an analysis about US air campaigns in Vietnamese jungles. "For pilots, the most frustrating aspect of the bombing restrictions was that most North Vietnamese fighter bases and surface‐to‐air missile (SAM) batteries fell within restricted areas" "He contends that, in the final analysis, “it was the Air Force and Navy's very own leaders that failed to develop a strategy appropriate for the war at hand.” Could any air strategy, though, have won the conflict? Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Maxwell Taylor's response in 1975 was an unequivocal no. According to him, “we didn't know our ally. Secondly, we knew even less about the enemy. And the last, most inexcusable of our mistakes, was not knowing our own people.” http://www.answers.com/topic/u-s-air-operations-in-the-vietnam-war |
andrewza: Let's look at the DRC. The east is moutan and jungel yet air support was a great force muitpliler to be used to remove M23 from the 3 surronding peaks. Air suport in moutan and juggel terrian works.so why is the US bombing innocent people in afghanistan mountainous regions? air support is difficult in mountainous and jungle terrains. remember during vietnam, US bombed their own several times in those jungles. why do you think France needed the help of chadians to fight in mountainous terrains of mali? they would have used air power like they used to push back the rebels in open spaces but they went in commando style and even though chadians are very god in mountain warfare, they still suffered heavy casualties fighting those who knew the place better. guy, the brief battle in DRC was fought on hills and bushes, not mountains and jungles. there's a difference |
the most powerful military in africa and second after israel in the middle east https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWZnu5GYNFs |
andrewza: The best thing for a army is when a unconvivsniol enemy tries to fight a convinsniol war. Aske siri lanker. For years the tamil tigers where a thorn. The tigers became so strong they formed a mini country. And then got there ass handed to them. The somliy miltants tried the same thing, they tried to fight ethyopia has equals. But a toyat with a ZSU23 is no match for a MBT.this is why you remain the only south african i respect here. no let your head swell o ![]() about that operation, you need to understand that there are very difficult terrains in these northern parts that is no use for aerial bombardment if you really want to hit your enemies and not just scare them aware. just like we have very dangerous creeks/wet jungles in the south flash back to when US bombed tora bora in afghanistan for months without killing one militant. later they realized that their bombs were useless to such mountainous region and yet couldn't send combat troops to fight in these mountains. But it was too late before they realized the aerial bombardments had only given osama more time to relocate and regroup. this is one of the reasons US failed woefully in afghanistan. the terrain remains too difficult for them. Northern Nigeria has many of such terrains and the battle where Nigeria lost 16 soldiers was fought in one of those terrains (caves and mountainous forests). that's why it's seen as a victory for us, considering that they were totally outnumbered 1:3 and half of the terrorists were killed (in a difficult terrain the terorists understood better). if you are truly a soldier you would understand. even the US knows how dangerous these northern terrains are. it reminds them of tora bora. that's why they doubt Nigerian military will be able to do the job. but we keep surprising them ![]() that should tell you a lot. |
Mike..ZA:this ignorant little man doesn't know that syria bombed those rebels with old trainer/light attack jets. and he thinks it makes them powerful ![]() guy, stay off sniffing fuel. it's messing with your already fried chicken brain |
Mike..ZA: ![]() this dude is high on fuel ![]() |
Thiza: @AGAUGUSTUS EMBARRASED AGAINmr copy and paste that can't differentiate a still picture from a video. what a pity ![]() |
Mike..ZA:damn!!! i have to smoke your joint. it's getting your mind twisted ![]() |
Mike..ZA:you are a complete novice that sees too many movies. which army cannot be slowed down by minefields? guy talk well na. ![]() |
Mike..ZA:guy, you need to get your head checked. so they js dropped tanks in the bush and voila, the war is over? you sick ![]() |
Mike..ZA:you are a donkey. Can you tell me how a war is fought? Especially how the bush war was fought. If you can differentiate |
Fighter Pilot: Hehehehe! What do you say about those who were held captive as prisoners of war by South African special forces. Would you also want to tell me that they were not at war? Chief your knowledge about the bush war is as limited as that of @Agaugust. I wrote exams about that war from school and even towards my studies at military academy. Russia was secret involved and did not want the world to know about their secret until they were exposed, no wonder they have destroyed all the documents that linked them to that war.you must have failed that exam. no wonder you are just a guard soldier ![]() so the russian president emailed you that they burnt all documents of their involvement in the war? why is it was still evident everywhere? i'm telling you that if russia had fought you, SA will be a wasteland by now. especially with your continuous use of chemical weapons then. |
andrewza: Yeswow. i haven't seen any black SADF before. it must have been very tough for them |
