johnchima007: Dem no dey telli person. Majority of failed marriages today showed red flags during courtship but many turned blind eyes to it. When the trouble go start for marriage na body go tell you. I'm very sure you won't forgive yourself especially when you remember that you saw the red flags and had the opportunity to avoid it. I'm not a proponent of clan/community stereotyping, but Arondizuogu, Ohafia, Abiriba, Arochukwu in the Igbo land have some spiritual configuration that only them and their people understands best. It is usually dangerous for outsiders (Non indigene) to venture to those places without due diligent investigation. Make God no let person go carry him head go magnet more problems in the name of marriage. Finally before you marry as a man, please it is not enough to know the girl alone, you must also understand her friends, and family view/mentality on issues before considering the marriage. Just like in football, her family and friends are the Technical directors/coaches through which the tactics she will be dishing out in marriage will come from.
On this note, I welcome everyone to this year's Afcon.. I can't wait for kick off. Abeg if you know of any medium through which I can stream live Afcon matches online, biko share.. From the bolded, stereotypically, where did you place Ezeagu Igbudu, especially Iwolo? |

Mujtahida: You are a traditionalist and I like that. I like the Igbo concept of Chi the physical representation of which is the ikenga. It's empowering. Late Prof Sophie Oluwole did quite a lot in explaining yoruba cosmology. She's on YouTube Yes, I am though I was born a Catholic, and sent to the best Catholic and one of best secondary schools in Nigeria "Order of the Monks - Marist Brothers" just so I could be taken away from my traditional roots because they saw the signs even before my birth. Lol I started serving mass in the Catholic church as a little kid and I served till I left the university( I can still serve till tomorrow, if I wish to because I love it), but then, I knew who I was all along. I love the Catholic church due to its doctrines that somehow align with the teachings of African traditional religion. I'm not one who trashtalks other religions but I still Accord Christianity its respect because of the Catholic Church. I just love the traditional way of life where I observe my Chi, Ndi mmiri( what you call the marine world), Ajala(mother Earth), anyanwu na Agbara, onye uwa(incarnate) and others. Make peace with your Chi and your heart will know enormous peace. |

Papi85: bro I never discussed my fear to this men of god. I only told them of my plans of getting married to a particular girl but needs to ask questions as well as seek the face of god
The answers I got from this different men of God where pointing to one direction and the same interpretation bro I no go lie you
That if I end up with the girl that I won’t enjoy the marriage and that I will be miserable till the day I die. That the girls grand dad was a renowned native doctor when he was alive. That there are strong forces against the family which will turn to battle me immediately I settle with this girl
Oya bro mk I burst your head. The girl is a pretty girl and hv cousins that are even more beautiful than here within the age bracket of 23-25 none is married. Sometime last yr I was even pushed to ask her this ur fine cousins does it mean no man Dey see them to marry? She opened up to me that women in her family find it difficult to marry
Even her dads 3 sisters that got married all returned to their fathers house with kids. I was shocked
This dreams I hv been having them even before I visited their place on the 28 of December. It was after the visit that I went home for a burial on the 6th of January and informed my kinsmen of my plans which all kicked against Your mind is made up bro. If you are convinced within yourself that there are elements of truth in your fears and that you can't handle it, then cancel the union, and get yourself another girl, otherwise, if you end up with the girl, any little challenge wey you get, you go dey fear and you go dey suspect her, you go begin see her as reason for the challenges, like that, peace dun run from your home oo. This is just my little advice nwanne m |

This Afcon is gonna be huge for Kelechi. Not just him though. I feel Aribo's next move is also gonna be kinda linked to his Afcon showings.
Wishing our lads the best of the very best. When be our first match sef? |

Papi85: bro I am a Christian and hv consulted 3 different men of God about this issue and they demanded for the girls family name and community and said I should call back in the next for response and if no response comes that they will still be pushing until a sign comes
Brother can u imagine that the result I got were all negative about the girl. That if I marry her that the union won’t last after 2 kids and that I will live the rest of my life miserably. Even they told me that God hv been giving me signs about the girl especially through dreams but because of the love I hv for this girl ignored all
I hv dated this girl in question over a year now, next month will make us 2yrs together Pastors and so called prophets can be manipulative and they tend to feed on your fears. I don't trust them, they lie a lot. Were you having those dreams before or after the warnings from people? |

Papi85: bro I don’t want to spill the girls fault because I myself do hv flaws as well. No one is perfect and even with her flaws I still made the move of going to her place to familiarize myself with her family
My fear is how almost everybody I hv told about my intentions advised and cried that I should back out. Even prophesies from 3 different men of God came and all was pointing at one direction which is negative
My bro I truly love this girl with all my heart but in a situation where friends and family who should be happy that I am about settling down instead are crying and begging me to back out it’s no good sign You know the girl more than they do. Now, ask them to tell you why they don't want you to go there. If you were not a Christian, I would have suggested that you run consultations(igba afa) on her head to see if the road clear or not. Me, I won't settle with a woman without thorough consultations, not what people say or believe. If the signs are bad, back off. Mail me their reasons and the signs if you wish. |

Papi85: Hello house, abeg e get issue wey Dey bother me here for the past 1 week now which I would love to share to get opinion and advise
I am in love with a lady whom I wish to settle down with and already visited her place for introduction on the 28th of last month. Her family welcomed me and her father was pleased to see me for the first time saying he have heard a lot about me
Let me say that I hv told a lot of pple of my plans and I must confess that 80% out of 100 warned me seriously not to proceed and if I do that it won’t end well
But the biggest problem now is that the lady in question is from arondizogu in ideato north and many of my kinsmen and relative hv been warning me not to move ahead with my plans on getting married to the lady because of her origin. She is from ndiuche in arondizongu and from my personal findings the result I got about the place is terrifying and at this point I am confused. Hv not been able to sleep for the past few nights
Is there anyone that knows arondizogu very well here? You didn't state even a single fault from either the girl, her family or Izuogu, neither did the people who have been advising you to quit. Dude all I read here is stereotype, unless you don't wanna spill it all. I have had great experience with a lady from Aro Ndi Izuogu, precisely, Ujari. Luckily, just like myself, the lady bu onye mmiri(this might scare you because of the lies your clergies tell you, but mind you, water no get enemy) and the experience was great. |

TheSuperNerd: They could falter if they come up against a team who will drag the middle game dynamics with them and frustrate them at their own game. Also, don't rule out some touch of luck.
I recall vividly how heavily Luck worked against Morocco at the last Afcon vs Benin Republic in the Round of 16. Hit the Post, missed big chances, missed even a penalty from Ziyech, and more. It just wasn't going well and eventually they caved in psychologically and the squirrels triumphed.
But like My Dad, Chief Icon4s has opined, this tournament could indeed go the way of a west African giant. West African teams are likely to rise strongest at this edition but notwithstanding, the Algerians are still good. Time will tell it all. I have my money on Senegal |

[s] komekn: Don't count your chicken before they are hatched. Our friendly brother Nation Ghana should not be dismissed so easily.
By all means support your nation but it's not wisdom to denigrate another nation with emotive negative bias not objectivity.
Look at Ghana midfielder, all playing at high levels.
Ayew Andre ( no introduction needed) Thomas Partey - Arsenal Iddrisu Baba - Mallorca Mubarak Wakaso (Shenzhen) Mohammed Kudus - Ajax Kamaldeen Sulemana - Rennes
These are Ghana's midfielders, l haven't put any one playing in leagues below the top 7 in Europe, apart from Wakaso who left La Liga, for Chinese ££$$.
Now let's look at our midfielders, would you say we have players in our midfielde that are COMPREHENSIVELY better than Ghana, l would not even suggesi it.
A friend should always underestimate your virtues and an enemy overestimate your faults“ — Mario Puzo
Onyeka - Brentford Aribo - Rangers Ndidi - Leicester Ejuke - CSKA Nwakali - SD Huesca - Segunda Division Alex Iwobi - Everton.
If we adopt this your condescending dismissive attitude we will beaten by Sudan. [/s] Another total rubbish. Did you see the match that made me make that post? |

drDoom3: Now if you play as an AM and more in the opponent's half than yours, these faults could slide in non-high-tempo games. Nwakali is an 8 though: if the ball gets past him, it's Ndidi and our inshallah defense. Ndidi can try his best but you can't expect him to do Nwakali's defensive duties to mark players while Nwakali strolls on the pitch waiting to receive the ball so he can "command the midfield". Pass your message without unnecessary mockery and subtle jibes. |
