Icon4s: If he cannot hold his own in a club like Leicester City then he is not good enough. Simple. Musa has always been Musa. He is a rope of sand. His performance against Argentina remains the highlight of his career with Eagles till date, to me, Musa flattered to deceive. I never rated him because rating him would be glorifying mediocrity. Simon Moses ain't no less different, he keeps trying same thing over and again, expecting a different result. Neither of the two is inventive. These guys to me aint worth a starting berth with the Eagles, they can be there to add depth but definitely not as first teamers unless they up their ante. Have you seen Onyekuru or Kalu play before? These guys plus injury-free Bazee(on his day) and Ademola are what we call cerebral wingers. I would pick Imoh Ezekiel ahead of the Musas of this world. |

Joebie: #SuperEagles Radar: GOALS HARVEST. Omeruo Score Own Goal. Umar, Kayode, Akpala, Kalu, Solomon Score. Simon, Onazi Assist. Ebuehi and Ekong Cautioned. Balogun Return.

SPOTKIK TEAM OF THE WEEK (MAR ’17 WEEK 2)
Late Super Eagles call up Olarenwaju Kayode (Our Player of the Week) retain his place in our team of the week after scoring for the second consecutive round. Gent’s trio of Samuel Kalu, Moses Simon and Troost-Ekong (displaces Oboabona) made our team of the week for the prominent role they played in the trashing of Mechelen. Kalu thereby retain his place from last week. Premier League players a missing due to FA Cup fixtures. Hence, Fegor Ogude takes Ndidi’s place for his all match action against Russian powerhouse Zenit. Teammate Brian Idowu retain his place as the Nigeria’s best left-back at the moment. Ebuehi also keep his place in left-back. Otigba displaces Omeruo, who scored an own goal during the weekend. Retired Victor Enyeama remains our best option between the sticks.
We adopt Gernot Rohr’s favorite formation, the 4-2-3-1, in our pick.
AUSTRIA (ROUND 25)
Austria Vienna 3-0 AC Wolfsberger Austria Vienna has put six unanswered goals past their opponents in the last two rounds. Super Eagles new invitee, Olarenwaju Kayode, who only got his first invitation to Nigeria’s senior national team as a replacement for injured teen, Victor Osihmen, scored his second consecutive goal in two league games to put a nail in the coffins of visitiors Wolfsberger. The Nigerian only representative in the Austrian top tier has now scored nine goals so far in the 2016/17 season.
BELGIUM (ROUND 30)
Eupen 1-3 Waregem Kingsley Madu remained in his familiar dugout position for Waregem as they conquered the Nigerian trio of Henry Onyekuru, Jamabo George, and Anthony Bassey at Kehrwegstadion (Eupen). However, instead of Madu, it was relatively unknown 19 year-old Aliko Bala who suited again for the visitors in the dot of 90 minutes. In the side of Eupen, Onyekuru started but was uncharacteristically unimpressive in front of the home fans and was pulled off in the 77th minute. Jamabo started and lasted the distance, whereas, Bassey was not suited up by Eupen.
Gent 3-0 K.V. Mechelen K.A.A Gent put their loss to fellow Jupiler league team, Genk at the Europa Cup by recording a resounding victory over visiting Mechelen. Nigerians locked horns again in this encounter. While Ighodaro Osaguona‘s cameo for the visitors proved futile, Gent’s parade of all five Nigerians in their roaster paid off immensely. All their Nigerian imports started and completed the match, except Rabiu Ibrahim who joined the fray in the 76th minute. Samuel Kalu on his part, has instantly become Gent’s rave of the moment as he scored for the second consecutive time for Eupen. This time it was fellow Nigerian international, Moses Simon who provided a nice assist. Kalu has now scored three goals for Gent since joining them from Trencin of Slovakia. However, it was Japanese, Yuya Kubo, who stole the headline taking the ball from the center of the field all the way as he tricked his way through a crowed of five defenders in a Messi-like fashion to slot away Gent’s second. Anderson Esiti and William Troost-Ekong were the other Nigerians who were in action mode throughout the encounter. Troost-Ekong was cautioned in the 31’st minute.

tbaba1234: A bit late for replacements, hopefully it is not serious or feigned. I don't think so. Any of the three but Onyekuru can still make it because Aluko resides in the UK (LONDON). Sammy Kalu was part of the Gent team that traveled to England just recently, hence still has a valid travelling permit. |

I thought u wanted to type Aluko and mistakenly typed Akuko and thought Mike and Ejeagha are another set of upcoming players.

goldfish80: Uche Agbo is a very promising player. I particularly like the fact that he can play both Dm and CB. The tactical flexibility he will bring to the table is something to look forward to. I would like to see him pair Ndidi as CBs. Them both will make a highly mobile and athletic CB pairing. His discipline is questionable. 9 yellow cards in 14liga games this season alone. Such players don't catch my fancy. The Ogudes of this world. I call them red-cards-waiting-to-happen. |

komekn: I am making a comparison over the last twenty years, cinsider the top sides our players were in and the waves they were making across Europe compared to the current selection.
We have gone backwards the fact this is the best we can do, makes me cry. What's your point exactly? We've been on the back foot for the past 10 years despite AFCON 2013, and now that it seems we are getting back to our standard though gradually, u still complain? Those guys u mentioned almost none made his debut or started turning out for Nigeria a star player. It is a gradual process so don't act like u a wisecre. The boys are growing and this is the right time to get them integrated. That said, we really need to do more to keep churning out big name players. U are simply pissed that Rohr didn't call up any of those innit boys who are expecting us to prostrate to them before they consider us. I have been following u silently on this thread for sometime now and ur love for those average, proud englanaija guys is overwhelming. My dear, we go with the ones we have. |

tbaba1234: Musa has been a great servant for Nigeria but he will be replaced by the talent coming through if he does not step up his performances. There are other emerging leaders in the team. He seems undoubtedly meek and down to earth, but he lacks that leadership quality. He ain't imposing and never deserved Dat captain band. He is as inconsistent as a woman in a premature Labour and can hardly rise to the occasion when the chips are down as worthy captains do. I love his heroics at d world cup especially against Argentina. We can pick a few games where he's bn above average but we've lost count of games where he gave below par performances. I neither rate Musa nor Simon Moses. These two guys are annoying. |

Uzoho joined the team on the 13th of January as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com, but the 18 year old was expected to spend more time with the B team than the main team. However few weeks after joining the team, he appears to have made the step up to the main team training session judging by pictures picked up by Owngoalnigeria.com. The talented shot stopper was a member of the 2013 Nigeria U-17 team, where he was one of the youngest in the team which won the World Youth Championship in style in the UAE. |

if onyekeru was Zimbabwean he would be the first choice ahead of billiat think am lie-ing watch the clips of both players on YouTube one thing with Henry is that he can run so far its on a good pitch and the guy is adventurous he has confidence billiat has DAT to but seeing the two play u would know what am taking about Thank u sir for ur contribution, am most honored. |

goldfish80: Billiat is a great player. I don't think he plays same role as Henry. I see Billiat as little bit of an old school winger in the mould of overmars while Henry is a modern inside forward or wing forward like Martial, Thierry Henry, Mbappe from the little I've seen of him.
Teams who play with a more orthodox wing play system will sign Billant while teams which set up with a 433 formation will go for Henry as one of the wing fowards. That's my candid opinion. Wow can't wait to see him in action then. Was wowed by Billiat yesterday. Thanks man. We lost against Abia Warrior ystdy oo at the cathedral |

lakesidepapa: Billiat is a very fine player, he's one of the players that helped Sundowns to win the Caf champion league. The trio of Dolly, Billiat and one young player with an Old school hair cut(forgot his name) in the forward line of sundowns is a bomb.
Yes Henry is like Billiat, tricky, can cross ball and fast but Henry is not a team player and Billiat is. Moreso, Both of them are not good at tracking back just like success at the wing unlike Moses under conte. That should definitely be Percy Tau. I call him the humble one. Thanks for ur insight bro, noted. |

To me he was without a doubt Africa's best player. That said I think Henry is also a big talent, his next move will determine how far he goes but for now i am most impressed by what i have seen. I don't know much about either defender so I'll reserve comments there. Thank u sir, noted. Now I know what to expect |

tbaba1234: I do not know Karma Billiat but for Onyekuru, he has the potential of being world class if he refines certain parts of his game. He hugs the ball a lot and does not use his teammates enough. For positives, he has lightening pace and great close control and trickery. His goal return shows that he is growing in composure in front of goal.
Ebuehi is a traditional right back from what i have seen, not explosive but will do a good job for you at right back or left back. Thanks sir, but u have to see Billiat |

Lazyerudite: The Henry guy is okay if what I have seen on the net is anything to go by, but playing in a more competitive league will expose him to better challenges and that is what he needs, he does seem to hold on to the ball a lot though Have u seen Karma Billiat play? I thought his exploit with sundowns was a fluke until I had a close watch at him against Algeria yesterday. Dude is a wing wizard. He skinned Algerian defenders. |

Segadem: what we are saying is that he concedes too much, Everton had four on target and all the four resulted to four goals, that's 0% saves No, don't say that, those goals went in due to the accuracy applied by the Everton players, you can't blame Bravo for that, he is good with his feet not his palms remember. He was bought to use his feet more than his palms. Also don't blame City strikers for failing to score, blame Pep neither but rather blame Everton keeper for being too brilliant... |

Please those of you who have seen Henry Onyekuru play, how good is he compared to Zim's Karma Billiat? They have same body frame and operate from same wing. Does he have feet as quick as Billiat''s, does he posses same trickery, dribbles, close control, composure and accuracy as Billiat?
I saw a sweet young (20) full back in Bouanga of Gabon, quick feet, full of running, good passer of the ball, intelligent crosser and of course clinical tackler. Please compare Tyrone Ebuehi to Bouanga if uv seen Ebuehi play mbok.

goldfish80: I made my judgment purely based on their game last night. A team is as good as their last game, if you judge them based on what they played against Zambia in October you will be making a mistake. They were impressive last night as the tournament progresses they will get better.
Put a young Samuel Eto in this team, they will walk this tournament. Nwanne are u sure u read my first paragraph? If u did, u wouldn't say my judgement was based on their past games(wordcup qualifiers) alone. Am concerned with their overall play in their past 3games (ystdy inclusv). The Cameroun I saw ystdy ain't no force to be reckoned with, as u would want us to blv. Physically they are okay though that has characterized their game since inception but technically they are poor. They have an abysmal defense line with that shambolic keeper in Ondoa. Beats me why he is preferred ahead of Kameni and the other guy that plays in the Europa league with Ajax Amsterdam. Until we see that young Samuel Eto, let's talk about Aboubacar |

goldfish80: Watched the Cameron Burkina game last night. In all honesty, the indomitable lions were very very impressive. They kept their shape well and played through Burkina with precise passes. They possess very athletic/mobile players and they seem to have stamped out their usual robust/dirty jam body football, thanks to the absence of the likes of Song and Mbappe, although they still managed 4 yellow cards. I hope Rohr was taking note of their game last night because I see these guys giving us a fight to the end.
If we are to get anything from the games against this side, our wingbacks need to have an excellent game because the Cameronian's are potent down the wings with Moukanjo , Bassogogo and Clinton N'jie. Imagine if Mbappe chose to represent Cameroun.. Hmm Also, we must avoid giving up free kicks in dangerous areas. Moukanjo can burry those in like he did last night.
If we can get 4 hard points from this guys and 6 points from Zambia, we will be home and dry. Let's not make mistake thinking Cameroun will be an easy ride, they played the best football so far in this tournament. Same Cameroun I watched last night? They could only boast of their physical presence of which Charles Kabore, Nagoma and Kone were real marches. Safe for Moukandjo and bassogog they had a pathetic attacking line up(though no thanks to Vinz Boubacar's suspension). Against a well disciplined team, they would lose by a very ridiculous margin. They lack that cutting edge that makes a good team fearful. Saw how they kept elbowing their opponents at every aerial battle to draw fouls even at dangerous zones? I ain't writing them off but u are over exaggerating their abilities. The less said about their back four, the better. Don't give me excuse of some withdrawals because they didn't fair any better against Zambia in their own backyard when they had a full house. They are good but not a cause for panic. BTW, I admire that Bakari Kone of Burkina. What a sweet clinical, strong, rugged and no-nonsense Centre back. His aerial presence despite his small frame is a delight to watch. No wonder he is a mainstay in Malagas' first eleven. |
