Looollll.... Yep. You're right. France finished fourth in 2011 at the FIFA U-20 WC after knocking us out in the Quarters.

Mexico beat them 3-1 in the third-place game. Watched the game myself. smiley

Pogba and Co did conquer in 2013.

But you are also wrong in mentioning "Daniel Uchechi" (he featured at the 2009 edition not 2011)...... wink

It was rather Bright Ejike who scored a brace that day, the first of which took that game into extra-time against France. So you don "goof" too oooo.... smiley

Born to Nigerian parents.

I first noticed him when he featured for France at the 2011 WYC in Colombia. He was their first choice goalie. Recall France won that tourney with Paul Pogba also in that team.

Oliseh, as coach then, once had his eye on him. He is just 24yrs old and I think he may be one for the future and may also prove to be a good cover for Ikeme. He is currently 2nd choice goalie at Montpellier.
I think you are wrong here sir, the French didn't win it that year and Pogba didn't play in that team but the next team after that team. The notable players in the French team then were Cedric Bakambu now with Villarreal, who murdered our defence, Gael Kakuta of then Chelsea FC, Lacazette of now Lyon and of course Nathan Ligali. We paraded the likes of Uche Nwaofor and Daniel Uchechi (who gave us a false hope when he gave a last gasp equalizer against the French, then they murdered us in extra 30mins. In that same tourney we also played against England who also paraded another Nigerian in Reece Wabara who was with Mancity Academy, though he was stretchered off about 5mins into the encounter with us. That was the same year Sammy Ameobi left our camp for the English camp but was not paraded against us.

U r the arc guard of the hall of experience and a grey haired historian of the Nigerian football, I didn't expect u to goof as u just did. Take time before sir Forgiveness pounces.

Kelechi Nwakali was in the same camp with Iheanacho and Success but he could not make the team.

Even though he qualified for special talent to get work permit, he was rather offloaded to Dutch second division.

Some people use to ask me, 'if he is good enough....he for dey for Arsenal'.

I pray he progress but he is down the pecking order for now.
Kelechi was sent to the MLS to train with Columbus Crew or what have u before he broke into city's first team. U have forgotten that so soon. We thank God for em grace. He is the Lord. grin

If it is true then we have gotten ourselves a good coach because I can't understand why we keep inviting bench warmers and using make shift RB when we have enough RB players playing regularly for their clubs.

Now, you all can see that my arguments are not in vain. grin

The last time I saw John Ogu played, he was totally in control of the midfield against Inter Milan. In fact, I made comments on his performance the same day.

I think he can do the job even if Mikel is not playing.

At left full, e ku ku ma better make we leave Echiejile for there ooooooo else katakata go happen. grin

Joel Obi! Chai! Injury just wan finish this boy career but if he continues to play for his club then I think he deserves a call up. I don't think he should be used as a Lb because you will not be able to exploit his potentials at the midfield.
Lol this man U nogo kill me with laughter oo, katakata kwa? Am eagerly waiting for the list sha

Seriously I actually thought he was a Nigerian and I was always following his progress. Remember when he won Reading player of the year even as a full back. The guy I doubted his Nigerian link was Josh Onomah, until I saw Oghenetega as his middle name.

Please look into Josh Debayo of Leicester and brief me of his profile because I want our left back problem solved ASAP, pending when Jason Akiotu and Udochukwu Anumudu come of age.

EXCLUSIVE: Conte Tells Mikel- “You Are Not
In My Plans, You Are Free To Leave In
January”

https://i1.wp.com/owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/image-59.jpg?fit=1838%2C2048

According to reports exclusively gathered by
Owngoalnigeria.com, Chelsea current second
longest serving player John Mikel Obi has been
told by manager Antonio Conte that he is free to
leave the club in January.

Mikel is still waiting for his first competitive
appearance for Chelsea under Conte, but it
appears he will stay frozen out of the team as he
doesn’t feature in the plans of the coach.

Coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr met with Technical Director Mike Emenalo yesterday, who revealed to Rohr that Mikel is not in the plans of the Italian manager.

”Talks were held between Mikel and the
manager. As for now he has been told he can
leave in January, mind you his contract is set to
expire in the summer” a source close to the
midfielder told Owngoalnigeria.com.

”There’s every possibility for him to leave Chelsea either on loan or permanently in January. But the summer looks more likely. Every story must have an end. After 11 seasons, Mikel wants to move on and so too Chelsea”.

NFF Fail To Convince Ex-Arsenal Striker To
Commit Future To Nigeria; Called Up To
England Contingency Squad

https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/36270Fejiri.jpg

Nigerian striker Fejiri Okenabirhie has been called up to the England C contingency squad ahead of their International Champions trophy match with the Estonian Under 23 national team on November 15.

The 20-year-old will be drafted into the main
squad in the event of any withdrawals.

Born in Hendon, England, Okenabirhie spent his
formative years as a footballer with the youth
teams of Arsenal and Stevenage.

The Dagenham & Redbridge frontman spent time on loan at Bedford Town, Farnborough,

Cambridge City and Royston Town while on the
books of Stevenage before he was released in the summer of 2015.

Last year, Nigeria Football Federation supremo
Amaju Pinnick reportedly held talks with
Okenabirhie over committing his international
future to Nigeria rather than England.

46'Kelechi Iheanacho replaces De Bruyne at
the interval.

55'AND THERE'S YOUR LEVELER! Manchester
City football at it's best there. Fernandinho
switches play brilliantly for Sane, who cuts
back and picks out the run of Iheanacho who
finishes coolly first-time!

63'STAT: Kelechi Iheanacho has scored 8
times in his last 11 Premier League games
for Manchester City, and 11 goals with 17
shots on target in the top-flight.

69'STUNNING SAVE! Gundogan gets on the
end of a terrific bit of interplay from the
hosts, but Forster gets down and reaches
back to parry his effort off the line! It was
Iheanacho again who was prominent there in
the build-up.

88'CHAOS! All-out press from City here as
Ihenacho and Sterling both get into prominent
ares on the edge of the box, but neither pick
out the required final pass before Davis
blasts it clear. Anywhere will do for
Southampton now, who are selling out in
defence to try and hold onto the point.

I think 69 is exactly what Pep wants from his strikers besides goals. Nacho is doing it the Pep way. I see him excelling under Pep.

Last I checked.... Musa Yahaya was indeed promoted to train with the first team during the international break in september but he's still with Porto B sub-majorly as he just joined in the recent summer window.

There are news feelers of his possible debut for the first team soon in the cup competitions perhaps but it's not certain.

He's been doing good for the team (Porto B) and even scored in their 2-1 pre-season win over moirenense (I think?) before the season began.

So summarily, he switches between training with Porto's first team and then training with Porto B. His rise at porto was so meteoric that he started training with the first team 3months after he arrived without playing an official game for porto B before the sept. International break.

Specific Info on Yahaya is not so easy to come by but will always try to keep tabs on him as with many others. smiley

Well, as Oga Experience, Sir Icon4s pointed out, "If we can Shola Ameobi a chance (after doing similar thing), why not give Nedum a chance also?"

Iwobi is lucky his uncle is part or was once part of NFF.

Therefore, no player will reck his career for what he knows could destroy him. Look at Otigba, the poor boy missed Europe because of his love for his country but we never here anything about him until now.

Ask yourself if it worth it?

How many matches did Nathan Chalobah played this season?
Otigba as a case study huh?? u wanna claim ignorant of the fact that FIFA is yet to clear him? Or did u ever read that NFF is delaying his clearance?

Okocha brought Iwobi to the SE? So who brought Moses, Ekong, Ikeme, Balogun and even Hope Akpan, Vic Anichebe and big for nothing Sola Ameobi ? May be okoji did right? Or they probably bought their ways in? This is ridiculous to say the least. All those mentioned players Otigba inclusive, to u, have wrecked their careers right?

When I said 'Iwobi is a Toddler to Solanke' I no dey troll and I no dey hate. I said it as it is.

Do you know why Iwobi is a starter in Arsenal?

Very simple, it is because he was called up to the Nigeria national team.

He was never a regular prior to his invitation to the Nigerian national team. The call up boasted his criteria.

Listen to Wenger then you will know th he never considered Iwobi to be a prospect..

Invite Solanke to the Nigerian national team and you will see him play. Though he has done well to make Chelsea's bench. The next level is to play in FA games.

A player is not player is not living up to potential but he is now Chelsea's 3rd striker? grin Very funny.
Iwobi opted to rep Nigeria hence the invitation. Does your Solanke see the SE as a worthy team to play for?? He feels more English than Nigerian. U can still prove me wrong by showing me a link where he said he wanna rep Nigeria, just as Iwobi did. Ruben Loftus Cheek, Nathan Chaloba etc have never had any senior international invitations, yet they played their way atleast into Chelsea Super subs, so what's stopping ur Solanke?? Are those two guys not his mates. U r still waiting for him to make his international debut before u would consider him worthy to dorn the blue shirt. Ndo

This is what Liverpool legend has to say about our *toddler*

Liverpool Legend Praises Iwobi – “He Has Traits Hard To Find In English Kids”

The rise of Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi at Arsenal in the last six months has won him praise from all quarters, with Liverpool legendary midfielder Dietmar Hamann, the latest to join the list. Iwobi has made himself a mainstay in the Arsenal line up at the age of just 20, a feat which is more remarkable following the dearth of players in England progressing from the youth ranks of teams to the main team. Hamann largely respected by fans of Liverpool, where he spent 8 years and played a pivotal role in their comeback UEFA Champions League win over AC Milan in 2005, praised Iwobi in a TV programme monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com. ” People don’t really know what he adds to the team of Arsenal, he is very calm, comfortable on the ball and plays without fear despite his young age. He has traits hard to find in English kids” He said during his preview of this weekend game between Arsenal and Middlesbrough in a Premier League TV show called Match Pack. ” He is very hard to keep out, he is quick when he wants to, and can play others in as well. One of the player opponent need keep an eye on in games against Arsenal is him”.

When I said Iwobi is a Toddler to Solanke, I didn't blink an eye.

Logical it is very correct based on some statistics.

Iwobi was nobody in the English under age set up when Dominic Solanke was pulling the string.

Iwobi was dusted again by Dominic Solanke in club youth setup.

In all the youth competitions they both participated Dominic Solanke was better than Iwobi.

He was voted England Youth player of the year ahead of Iwobi who was never nominated eventhough he was an English youth player as at then.

He was chosen to play with the 3 Lions.

He has gone to play in Champions League ahead him.

Currently, he is a third striker in the fourth best club in the world.

Do you think he bribed his way through like dey do here? grin
I doubt u did TENSE while in school.

Iwobi WAS a toddler to Solanke at youth level. We all agree. He was a toddler to even Ravel Morrison but bro why can't u see past ur nosehuh After much much, who come be oga now?? Today Solanke is still a foetus compared to Iwobi. Mind u, nobody gives a Bleep what u did at youth level until u give account of ur exploits at a professional and senior level. Solanke is still a prospect while a younger Iwobi is now a renowned professional. Nobi who first come...na who fit stand d heat. If Iwobi had remained loyal to England, he would be starting alongside Dele Alli for the 3lions while ur Solanke still vying for shirt with Tammy and Hybe at the youth level (u19).Talk of people not living up to their potential... Mind you ur Solanke is threading this path. He is gradually doing a Morrison. Chelsea is trynna cut short Tammy's loan deal to bring him back, that tells u how bad ur solanke's stock has fallen even within the ranks of his club. When last did England send him a call up letter??

Ur claims sometimes are pathetic and reek of hate and desperation. U have to reexamine ur conscience and sense of reasoning. Stop being parochial.

I love ur resilience and the fact that u always remained grounded even when jibes are thrown at u but sir I must tell u, u sound like a troll most times and it riles people up. U seem to like it and u are enthusiastic of it. Continu

TheSuperNerd:
This lad is giving every other challenger (Esiti, Azubuike, Chidiebere Nwakali, etc) to Nigeria's DMF role currently occupied by Onazi the "strong" jitters.... grin

Ndidi has shown that striking the ball from distance around areas outside or within the box or meters from goal is now a key part of his game.

Also, he's a true midfield enforcer grin

I remember the words of theGoodJoe when Ndidi first scored a "rifler" last season in the Belgian Pro league title playoffs.... That strike that travelled at 111km/hr... wink

TheGoodJoe said (not in exact manner but this was his central message):

"In Ndidi, we may just have discovered the true heir to Oliseh's throne" smiley
Well said sir. I could remember another moniker put it this way "finally Oliseh is back but now with a different name (Ndidi)"

Check out live commentary from goal.com

83'GOOOOOOAAAAAALLL! GOOOAAAALLL FOR GENK! A screamer from Ndidi! A cross is floated into the Athletic box from the right flank and Iturraspe vigilantly gets up to clear out of the danger area. However, it only goes as far as the 19-year-old Nigerian, who smashes a terrific half-volley into the top left corner! His performance has deserved that goal! Two-nil.

69'Genk have been very impressive so far this evening and you can see how they managed to overcome Sassuolo at home in the previous match at the Cristal Arena. Ndidi in particular has been excellent in midfield, controlling the game with ease against this out-of-sorts Basque outfit.

Mickael2:
Is anybody watching Genk vs Athletic Bilbao? Ndidi is totally bossing the midfield against Athletic Bilbao, not some sunday league team. Ndidi has been the starman, yet people crucify me when I say that he should start ahead of Onazi
Sir, honestly I don't rate Onazi. His wayward passes are way too infuriating. People always tell us how workaholic he is, but my question is the use of him winning possession and lose it immediately due his inability to give a simple pass? Worst of all he ain't disciplined and he fails to understand his role too. I rate Azubuike okechukwu even higher...

U saw younger Ndidi doing his job as though he was a veteran today right? That's what he does week in week out, if u had been following the Belgian league. That's typical of a good DMF
