The Deutch is sodomising our brothers from the coast of ivory, real bad. 5goals to nil, it would have been worse if Robben and Janssen had been more team players. What happened to the elephants? Could this be another Wilmot factor playing out?

you do have a point. I mean Bologna and Wolfsburg aren't too different from eachother, they both barely survived relegation but the case now is that when Bologna started fighting against relegation they called on Orji Okonkwo while Oshimen was still choping bench at Wolfsburg, if I talk now some cry babies will start talking about Iheanacho
Guy I doubt u could have been any puerile than this, sorry to say that. I have kinda been keeping tabs on ur line of argument on different occasions, u have this proclivity for calling white, black just to drive home a point. Why are u like this? u think u wanna stir some people up with those silly points? but end up bringing urself to disrepute. As much as u love debates, eschew lies and preconceptions because even the youngest member of this thread is informed enough to detect lame points when he sees one. Youth football can really be funny, who would believe orji okonkwo would grow this fast even past his peers roughly two years after that U17 world cup? He wasn't really an integral part of that squad but today, he is head and shoulders above every member of that team bar Awaziem (who left camp before the torney)

SCORENigeria has yet again scooped that Serie
A club Bologna have turned down a seven
million Euros bid from Inter Milan for shinning
Nigeria youngster Orji Okonkwo.
Okonkwo, 19, made nine league appearances for
Bologna on his season in Europe and provided
the assist for his team’s opening goal at
champions Juventus while playing the entire
game on the final day of the Serie A.
Nigeria Olympic star Sadiq Umar, on loan from
Roma, made seven appearances for the same
team.
Bolonga finished 15 on the Serie A table, nine
points clear of the relegated Empoli.
“Bologna have turned down a massive offer of
about seven million Euros by Inter Milan for
Orji,” a top source close to the player’s agent
informed only SCORENigeria
“They have so much trust and hope in the boy
as they see him as the future of the club and
that is why they do not want to sell.”
Okonkwo has featured for Nigeria U17 and U20
teams and was a key member of the Golden
Eaglets team who won the 2015 FIFA U17 World
Cup in Chile in style.
He also caught the eye at the recent U19
Viareggio Tournament.
Orji Okonkwo has caught the eye after five-star
displays against the likes of Juventus and AC
Milan this past season

Here is what I got..... (originally reported in French but I had to quickly translate with the help of a translator)

FC Nantes. Awaziem et Kayembe en échange de Conceição

(English: cf. Nantes. awaziem and kayembe in Exchange for conceição)

FC Nantes and FC Porto have reached an agreement for the transfer of Sergio Conceição. In addition to a sum of money, the Canaris recover two players, a Nigerian central defender, Chidozie Awaziem, and a Belgian international, Joris Kayembe.

FC Nantes and FC Porto have reached an agreement for the transfer of Sergio Conceição. This one should be endorsed at the beginning of the week with the signature of the documents by the different protagonists. The Portuguese coach will join his club of heart and leave FC Nantes, where he had extended his contract until 2020, just a month ago.

According to Portuguese sources close to the file, FC Nantes should recover around three million euros. It should also accommodate two players in the scales. It is Chidozie Awaziem, a 20-year-old Nigerian central defender (1m89, 82kg), who essentially evolved with the Dragons reserve (D2 Portuguese) this season. The player is loaned for one year with a call option at 12 million euros.

FC Porto also drops Joris Kayembe, a 22-year-old left-winger. Belgian international, he was successively loaned to Arouca and Rio Ave (D1 Portuguese), where he played 22 games (2 goals) in 2016. The best scorer of the reserve this season (6 goals) makes, meanwhile, The object of a final transfer.

The duration of the contract is not yet known.

Awaziem to Nantes would be a good movie, if he is assured of playing time in the first team. Nantes finished 7th this past season ahead of teams like lille, St Etienne, Rennes, Angers, Montpellier et al.

The battle against the South Africans will be mainly in the midfield department....

Dean Furman/Andile Jali/Mabunda or Makola Vs Ogenyi Onazi/Onyinye Ndidi/Oghenekaro Etebo

They also have a Keagan Dolly who will be up against Echiejile for the most parts.

Dolly plus the midfield duo of Furman and Jali are South Africa's main men....then alongside Khune too in goal.

The others ride on the waves of these four....... even Rivaldo Coetzee.

Note: I would have mentioned Thulani Serero but Baxter didn't include him on the list of invitees for the battle of Uyo.
Dolly would be up against any of these three ; Shehu, Tyrone and Omeruo. It all depends on who Rohr picks to man the RB position because Dolly operates from the left side.

Am actually relishing the battle in the midfield because in either of Agu or Onazi, Ndidi and of course Etebo, we've got combative midfielders, add to that, Iwobi's guile and technic.

We are on the cusp of a new era. Even foreigners are beginning to feel the tremors (let me borrow Chrismario's word). The Coach of Corsica said as much too. So if the parents of these boys are blind, na dem sabi. Maybe they need a Dibia to sound it into them. We need all our talents - home grown, foreign born, all. Let's approach, persuade, entice and encourage everyone but who want do yanga, we free am.

This football thing is a tide. One time (as in contemporary times)it was France 98-02, then Spain 2008-2014, currently Germany. It looks like ours has come. Incidentally it has coincided with the auspicious arrival of Rohr to help us manage our usual incompetence small. And then the deal signed by NFF with Aiteo to take care of the bills of our Coaches. Who knows what the soccer gods have decreed. But the omens look good.

According to a report by Own Goal Nigeria, Newcastle United scouts were in attendance to watch Oghenekaro Etebo in action over the weekend.

Newcastle scouts watched on as Oghenekaro Etebo’s Feirense beat Pacos de Ferreira 1-0 in the Portuguese top division.
Newcastle were running the rule over box to box midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo, according to this report, ahead of a potential summer move.

It is no secret that Benitez wants to add another central midfielder to his ranks to bolster his options alongside Jonjo Shelvey.

Etebo has emerged as a top target but the Magpies face competition from some of Europe’s finest clubs for his signature.
Premier League side Leicester City are also keen on the 21-year-old with Champions League semi-finalists Monaco, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and La Liga heavyweights Sevilla weighing up a move as well.

The Nigerian international already has 8 senior caps and can also play as an attacking midfielder.

Well, for now shaa..... make we work with this one wey dey available.... Biko Rohr and Pinnick .... just give Tammy another "enticing" call..... wink
Hahaha Nerd, I would say England just made it easy for us.

U guys have thrown enough enticing punches already. I was tempted to join the argument but everybody really was making sense, so I decided to add to my knowledge my reading through every ink from the battle of the gladiators. That said, I stand with sir Icon4s "don't deny a kid with obviously talent the opportunity to play the game just because he cudnt pass a certain subject" but in truth, that kid needs atleast that secondary school so as to av options should he eventually fail with his football career. But already this is the trend in Nigeria, these days our youth players are plucked from secondary schools except maybe in the north... But it is really hard combining tertiary education with soccer in Nigeria but sec school and soccer really can work. To me, it ends there.

Same would have been said of Tammy despite his exploits with Bristol city this past season, but we ain't that much stocked at the front as we are at the middle. England List Everton Lookman & Five Other Nigerians In Final Squad For U20 WYC

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/image-95.jpg

The England U-20 team have listed six players eligible to represent Nigeria in their final squad for the U20 World Youth Championship which will be taken place in South Korea later in the month.

Everton Ademola Lookman who was approached by Nigeria last month to switch allegiance, headline the Nigerians on the list which includes Liverpool duo of Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo.

Ejaria trained with the Nigeria U17 team of 2013 but failed to make the squad for the World Cup proper, he broke into the first team at Liverpool this season after impressing coach Jurgen Klopp during pre season.

Tottenham Hotspur Josh Onomah was also included while Chelsea teen duo of Dominic Solanke and Fikayo Tomori complete the list of Nigerians on the list released earlier today.

Really hots that a bench warmer in Solanke was chosen ahead of Tammy the goals machine but I can't tell why I'm happy it did happen this way. Pinnick oya let's play our card to sway him biko. He would be gutted by the snub and probably would now be considering his chances of making it to Russia with Nigeria.

I would want him in Corsica, Onyedinma too.

You have to understand the business model of these people. They simply rely on players sales to stay afloat. To that end they seek partnership with clubs abroad. Abuja academy have such relationship with Tresin.
They also have established relationship with agents who come to Africa for scouting. The ones with buoyant proprietors attend competitions abroad where their players are exposed to prospective buyers.

Those who get signed by NPFL clubs are released on loan. (70% of NPFL players are actually on loan from these "academies" , the loan fees are renued every season). It may interest you to know Chisom Egbuchulam is not a Rangers player, Obinna Nwobodo is not a Rangers player, even Ahmed musa was not a property of Kano pillars, Venlo paid his transfer fee to Gbs academy not Kano pillars.

These "academies " are not doing anything so special. The way they draw superlatives from you, one will think they are running a world class business model whereas, they get get their bread and butter from established relationships with agents and nothing more.
Nwokem, what's your point exactly? They ain't worth being termed an Academy or they ain't producing stars as they would, if they were better ran? U just stated how they manage to remain afloat. That's their business strategy and it has been working for them and with time, things will improve. Remember these nurseries are run by private individuals with little or no support from anywhere and whatever that keeps their ship afloat, let it sail.

The deals I want to see happen when the transfer window opens ; the first stanza features the players already under our bonnet while the second are those I term the "IFs", and it features players who seem to be considering pledging their allegiance to us.

1. Iheanacho as a makeweight to land Auba
2. Emeruo as a makeweight to land Coulibaly
3. Moses Simon to Monaco
4. Henry Onyekuru to Gladbach
5. Mikel Agu back to FC PORTO
6. Uche Agbo back to Watford
7. Awaziem to Liverpool
8. Etebo to Leicester or Monaco
9. Yahaya to Porto first team
10. Azu Okechukwu to either Besiktas or Monaco
11. Nwakali KC a loan move to any of the Belgium top teams.

The "IFs"

1. Onyedinma to Watford
2. Akpom with another year at Brighton
3. Osayi-Samuel to Tottenham
4. Ola Aina to a midtable team on loan
5. Iorfa to West Ham
6. Tammy as a makeweight to land Lukaku

Special mentions to guys like Moses odubajo, I pray hull doesn't get relegated, Sone Aluko, I pray Fulham secures promotion to the EPL. Kingsley Ehizibue, I pray Pec Zwole also Survives the drop, Francis Uzoho, I hope deportivo beats the drop.

To oga forgiveness alias SolankeAjagun , hopefully Roda beats the drop, and also Chelsea loans out Dominic to a midtable team or better yet, sale him to RB LEIPZIG.
