PoliticsRe: COVID-19: Can Africa Afford Lockdowns? - Charles Soludo by Chrislaug(m): 9:33am On Apr 24, 2020
He nailed it.While I appreciate all the optimism floating around, I do also want us to be realistic here and understand that this is not going to be an overnight fix. We must brace ourselves psychologically for this storm and know that no matter how hard, this too shall pass. So keep the challenges and high spirits coming; let's do everything we can so spread some smiles through this ordeal.

The longest trip I've ever embarked on with my car was on Sept 23rd 2012. I left Lagos to Mali by road. I crossed Seme border after d necessary paper work it took me nearly 20 hrs. to pass Benin Republic, then I entered Burkina Faso...the journey was exhilirating...had a little issue @ their border. Spent some money there. Next destination was Mali. Altogether I spent 52 hrs driving.
No place like Naija. I love my country.

mikeapollo: A desperate, shameless man!

I cant imagine how a former CBN Governor, a professor in Economics can descend so low into the murky waters of Nigerian politics so soon after leaving the CBN. For God's sake, there are many global bodies like AfDB, World Bank, IMF, ECOWAS etc that this man can work for as consultant!
His motivation must have been money and power the Nigerian way, not professionalism.

No wonder he tolerated and even covered up a lot of shenanigans in the banking sector when he was CBN governor
Better censor that soak-away you call "mouth" before releasing those empty thoughts of yours.
Mshewww! You were still shitting in your pampers when Soludo got his 1st class @ UNN. He's d best governship candidate. His reputation precedes him. Africa, Dubai, Taiwan.... That's d new Anambra. cool

PoliticsRe: Amaechi Promises To Remain Principled by Chrislaug(m): 9:04pm On Jul 21, 2013
What has happened in Rivers State is very sad. I hope that the politicians will try to put a break and reflect on what they are doing in order not to truncate democracy. In democracy, there is a limit to what freedom is all about. There is freedom of speech, freedom of association and what have you but this stops when you start infringing on others freedom.
I'm harping on the need for the country to remain united, my works as Peace Ambassador with United Nation UN have helped me to appreciate the devastating consequences of violence.
