My brothers, see i was watching just mtn tv on Multi and the weather became cloudy, all of a sudden, my decoder made a cranky noise and the pictures freezed, my decoder strong 4922 just started showing only 0, i quickly turned it off and on, it opened and was now showing.

Here is my confusion now, my friend that is good at cable work told me plainly that i should buy a new lnb after i told him of the picture freezing of max tv and my not able to get joy tv and core having done all the lnb position thing, changing cable wire and also testing without the diseq switch.

Now my cable installer that installed the stuff said i will have to retrack it, this is after 2 times he had retracked and i paid him for each of the retracking. When he retracks, it will get normal but after like 1 day, the duo of joy and core will start fluctuating, after a while, it won't open again, will only display "No or bad signal ".

The setup from my assessment is tight, so I don't think the dish misaligned for any reason.
My question is, please you experts advise me, am just over frustrated, am seeing you people talk about complex installation technicalities and am here suffering just for joy tv, (sighs!). Please should i call back my cable installer as he requested (obviously, he is benefitting from it) or do I buy a new lnb like my friend suggested (the present one is strong and is not even up to 3 years, whereas I learnt some stays more than 10 years ).

If am to replace the lnb, hope it won't alter those tightened angles and the elevation (let me not dabble into a new trouble )? So far from what i read from this wwebsite http://www.stevelarkins.freeuk.com/mobile/lnb-faults.htm, am kind of sure is an lnb fault. They stated clearly that loss of channels and many more other things are symptoms of lnb failure

Ogas am at una mercy, instruct me on what to do. If no be say, i am traveling out soon, with this vex, i 4 don loose the whole stuff and if possible burn am sef, go buy MCL as am even considering.

(I must learn this work, at least let me be notifying and benefitting from the new positions and frequencies posted on this thread )

Na so bro, but the way I see it, is not far as it sounds. I consider this year as gone already, then after January new year celebration, by February Schools will start pasting their lists on their notice boards and from that moment, our count down will start.
Another thing that am happy about is that, the presidency said d have concluded plans to forward the 2017 budget to the NASS next month so as to speed up the implementation next year meaning that there won't be any delay arising from budget impasse as we had in this year batch A. As a matter of fact, it was a big issue, they Senate had to pass it quickly after so much postponement and public outcry. The week the presidency released the money was also the same week they entered camp.
So me no wan hear story, I don tire to sit down for house d read news.

For those of you saying batch A d go February /March, i seriously doubt the possibility, 016 Batch A will pass out 1st week of April and you can't have 2 batch A's serving together. No doubt, the mobilization processes will commence latest February, this year registration started 1st February and 1st stream camping was ending of April, all things being equal, our registration will be by March end/April. Considering that the present system have a culture of deferring, this batch B should have camped this month but they delayed it to November ending, i strongly will project our camping to be May, as this will help balance the 1 month gap between this year batch A stream 1 and their stream 2 that had theirs in June.

More so, i will like to suggest that we include our city of residence to our profile list we are stating here, i believe it will help in linking up and getting info about the states and cities we will like to serve in. I don't know about the whole states in Nigeria but I believe with this platform, it can give me a clue of what is obtainable in those states. For example, i reside in the city of Aba and will be willing to provide any info or confirm any rumors that relates to the city. This will improve the quality of our discussions here and serve as a platform to get new knowledge about our country.
Let me explain well with this info, i have a friend that is serving in one part of Taraba state, i was shocked to hear from him when he came back over the holiday to tell me that the reason why i have not been able to reach him on phone is because Nigerian telecommunication network do not work there, not only that, they don't get electricity from our National grid, reason being that they are very close to Cameroon and to make call, they use Cameroon network, he told me, he will buy their line if he goes back this month. He also said from his house to Cameroon border is about 70-100 naira and many more info about Cameroon that i can't continue due to time. Now, i can't believe i didn't know about this with all my education. So that's it.
