Music/Radio › Re: R.kelly's Comment Abt Psquare:describes Them As Wanna Bee's For Copying Usher. by chronique(op): 12:56pm On Jul 16, 2008
here's the jeck.i dont bliv in someone told me that or them say them say news which means i only dared to put this out coz i scrutinized evry word that came out of his mouth.the person in question who said this is not a jobless person or a tout and i did not meet him in a local barbing salon.if u can spend 1000 bucks shaving ur hair evry month,i.e once in two weeks, and u have a good job wiv a good car;i wont see u as an idle person who will want to just spit trash outta ur mouth.the guy is not a p-square hater as he did not criticise them or yap them.he did not say someone told him.he said he watched it.looking at him and assessing him including his looks and personality,i will be able to make do wiv his statement 50%.dont tell me r-kelly does not know p-sqaure.in case u dont know, wiv the exploits of 2face idibia,asa,dbanj,p-quare,nice, and a host of others, naija is definitely on the map.not to even mention the influx of super stars like jayz and the likes coming into naija to perform again and again.fews months back, shaggy was in the country and what was his mission?he said he came in to see the best naija acts he cud feature in his next album.wiv all of this,i hope someone will not ask if r-kelly knows p-square.as for fastmoney who says am the 3rd biggest liar, thats ur opinion and a i really dont giv a f**k wat u tink.its obvious u only learnt how to write witout learning how to read.wat a pity.i did not say i watched it.try reading properly b4 posting aight?
the subject at hand if true, can work both ways for them.at least they are known.how big is latin music compared to hiphop from the motherland?if we know abt daddy yankee, coolie buzz, zion and co,then wit mtv base in place, there is no reason why they shud not know naiaj's music.if p2 is not a tret to usher,r-kellty wont make that statement period.which means we are doing somtin rite here.the only problem will be that ,among super stars in yankee,p2 mite not be able to hold sholders high.at least we all know that it is true that they copied usher's dance and song yeah for get squared or is that another lie?listen to both songs and tell me wat u think.
i rest my case.
Music/Radio › R.kelly's Comment Abt Psquare:describes Them As Wanna Bee's For Copying Usher. by chronique(op): 6:50pm On Jul 14, 2008
was at the salon last week to have my hair cut and while i was waitin for my turn,i was watching musical videos on mtv.the next thing was the psquare video do me;we were all watching and making comments about it.then this bro comes up with this:
"i was watchin mtv somedays back and r.kelly was being interviewed.he was asked wat he thinks about psquare and he said:
i think dey shud stop singing.anything they want they shud just ask me and i wuld give them.they are copying usher too much.they have copied his music(yeah) for (get squared),copied his dance and his moves.they already look like usher.in fact, they are the usher raymond in africa,
the hook is this,is this a positive ststement abt p2 or a negative one.if u ask me,i would say its a negative one to be labelled as a wanna bee.
so am asking nairalanders, what do u guyz think abt this?

lol. modenine cannot reply. no need to reply. sauce kid no get beef with am. sauce kid get beef with himself. and he's battling his demons. then him gon be the hottst thing around. na so i write am!
i tot we all agreed that this piece of refuse called skinned goat should be sent to the refuse collector;wats he still doing here?u dont need to talk abt hiphop coz u're not qualified to do so.we all know that ur talent is stupidity and as a matter of fact, weneva we think we should talk abt stupid things,we would give u a shoutout.so for now,plz return to the trash can.

as far as the mata at hand is concerned,mode9 doesnt nid to mention names to pass his msg across to his opponents.the mix tape thing is a jimmy jatt project and it would mean,or look like jimmy jatt is taking sides with nine if he allows 9 to call names.hope u get it.if nine feels like dissing dis guyz,he would do it in his own album.anyone saying nine is a disgrace to hiphop should plz wash his or her face with a drum of holy water and oil his or her eardrum with several jerry cans of anointing oil to realise he or she has just goofed.
i swear, his lyrics are even capable of healing a lunatic.meaning they are the bomb.with a lot of msg in it.
Music/Radio › Re: Freestyle Speaks Out About Beef With Eldee by chronique(m): 8:16pm On Jun 26, 2008
my people will neva dissappoint me.wats all these talk about eldee being naija's finest rapper/producer?i hope say una nor drink shepe mixed with kerosene?if u say naija's best hiphop producer way back, there might be some sense in that but to talk abt naija's best as of now,plz dont even mention it.eldee is good no doubt;but he is not the best rapper in naija as of today.only dose who pay attention to rap in naija will rem eldee.talking abt him bringing up freestyle;thats a lot of shit.we only got to know abt el,free and k wen they were called trybesmen.it wasnt a thing of el and k,then they brought free later.this is hiphop and anyone is free to dis who ever they like.all those talking abt eldee being grounded in yankee shud plz use holy water to wash their eyes.the video he shot there tells it all.am not takin sides but bone, free is dope enuf to square up to el and i dont think thats a crime.if eldee leaving to yankee almost made 2shot's world crash, then thats his biz.he aint even one of the tighest naija rappers so we dont giv a f.let dem be.period.

Music/Radio › Nigerian Rappers Can't Freestyle? by chronique(op): 7:11pm On Jun 13, 2008
am puttin out this thread coz of the way some naija emcees get to em-bar-raz us.it goes down like this.u are interviewing a nigerian rapper on air.he goes blabbing, bla bla bla.so can u do a little freestyle for us?next thing,he starts dropin rhymes from one of his unreleased singles or some kinda unpopular song.his fans at home think he's so tite.the question is this.is freestyle meant to be sweet and perfect?my opinion abt it is that u rhyme about anthing in ur immediate environ.or anything u can think of.not givin us already rehearsed lines.maybe i might be wrong rite?then i need someone to correct me.tel me wat u think.

hey peeps!how y'all doing.tot it wud b nice 2 share this.was on my way home some days back.stopped at the b/stop 2 pik up one or 2 tins.then i saw this bus loaded with audio and video c.ds of naija acts.i called one of the sales boy and asked who gave them the franchise to market these c.ds.he said they were indie marketers.9ice,p-square,style plus had their works on display.then i said 2 him, afro best is suppose 2 be the main mrketer;how come u guyz are the ones selling.he cud not giv an answer.all he said was that their manager was in the bus.with a briefcase in hand,he must have bin xpecting some kool cash.then i left him.next day,i saw the same thing but this time,it was around ketu/ojota.i was on the express and as such cud not pull ova.the crux of the mata is,are these guyz pirates takin their game to the next level or is it a new mkting structure.wat beats my imagination is that the price is quite cheap.100 bucks or less for audio works and 150 or less  for video  wrks.plz anyone with useful info shud let me know.its all for the gud of the industry.its all gud.

Music/Radio › Re: Eldee vs Freestyle: Hottest Beef In Nigeria Now! by chronique(m): 2:40pm On Jun 06, 2008
hey you know wat?i think eldee way back use to be da backbone of da group.however, freestyle has got mad smooth flowing delivs.also got nice rhymes.i think its a 50/50 tin.blaise wa also hot on da joint.think she's naija's finest female act.no doubt.the beef is healthy for the game.just a pity dat da mode/sauce beef did not last long and da mode/rugged beef is being whispered by both emcee's.notin really is being said.dey are just throwing fingers in the air.its all gud anyway.naija hiphop has come of age.
Music/Radio › Re: D'banj And Durella by chronique(m): 8:27pm On May 31, 2008
ok lets get this thing straight.dbanj obviously is more popular than durella;no doubt .wat if dbanj actually copied him?was at the point beat studio sometime last yr to record for my artiste and i saw durella.i was talking with some of the buddies at point beats about this durella/dbanj sound alike thing and i got a shocker.i was told that dbanj actually copied durella.learnt they were pals b4 and due to all that shit abt not havin money and that,, long story.though i really do not buy that story, there cud b some element of truth in it coz i think durella acts more of that stuff.he actually looks more like wat he sings abt than dbanj.he looks like the true ghetto boy who cud live a whole yr in the zanga.wat eva,i think there wud be no nid doing a duet coz it wud be the same thing.let them just be.

Music/Radio › Re: Welcome To Africa By Eedris Abdulkareem Ft 50cent by chronique(m): 8:54pm On May 24, 2008
hey.don't talk about spellings because what i did was 2 abbrev my spells and spell my own way.rem i said punchies and methaps.that was a weak one.try harder.i wish u beta luck next tyme like saying try again?really not trying to push no one to battle.justwant peeps 2 giv ops about what dey think and geton wit thr lifes.u all knw it aint easy getin did shit done so it aint kool how u guys murda these arts.for the records, rap means rhythmically applied poetry.where u gat ur meaning is , ?sorry lol, maybe am old skooled, ?u tink.?

hey ,here u guys go about spitting and all dat.first of all,not all rappers are hardcore.not all rappers spit all dem punchies and methaps.some rappers are party styled.yeah just a song for the dance floor.diddy, loon, jibbs, souljaboy nd co.someare deep lyricists.kwali.kanye,nas ,game, kisss and co.if we had only the likes of mode 9 doing rap.i swear music wud be boring.yeah i say it again coz wen u go to the club,u dont dance to cry or some deep lyrically infected songs.dont say eedris is crap.his got alot of delivery wen it comes to rap style.smooth flowing delivs.yeah obviously not a lyricist but has his game locked wen it comes to passing message with his rhymes.most rap songs in naija dont.all u gat is the rhythm.i can tell a lot.where u for get dat yansh by six o and kshow, yeberiba from sauce kid,dat ibo boy from ill bliss.yeah but dis not tryin to say dey cant rap.rap is diff from msg.period.and for most nairalanders.i bet all dey can do is type shit.most of this cats cant do jack.someone is asking for some rap battle from chronique.i bet i will leave u dead even before u get started.dats a promise.dont let the world know how weak u can be."save ur strenght so u can battle dem lil kids in ur hood coz dats where ur game is tight" a word is a nuff 4 d wise even though u might not be intelligent enuff to decode dat.
