Lol. If you knew me on Nairaland from way back, you'd know I used to be very active on the music/radio section, before I moved into auto biz. I know OD well but I must tell you he had the potentials to be a microphone wrecker,and weight-in as a pound-for-pound punchliner but he just didn't live up to expectations. How many OD songs can you list? Let's start from there.

Why will a 2003 corrola come in from the USA @ over 150,000 miles with a clean engine, and 1year and 15,000miles later in Nigeria it is smoking and making funny engine sounds?

Engine oil type for every vehicle has a specification. Most times it is written on the engine oil cap 0w-20/5w-20/5w30/15W30/5W-40 0W-40 etc.

You will NEVER find 20w50 written on the oil cap of car older than year 2000. But every day you pour the wrong oils into your engines.

Buy the right oil specification, from a reputable brand, and keep your engine running like new.

That's the poor maintenance culture of most Nigerians. If the world had to depend on Nigerian used cars,I bet most countries would still be using bicycles a lot cos Nigerian used cars wouldn't be worth the stress due to poor maintenance culture.

No 4. I've experienced that couple of times with the recent Toyota models. It felt like the car was pulling away all by itself and on one occasion, I almost hit a vehicle coming from the other side. I was embarrassed at the look I got from other drivers but couldn't explain how it happened. If not for sharp reflexes and being alert, I'd have crashed the vehicle. Didn't even know there was such a thing with Toyota Camrys. Now I know better.

True. No matter how noble and sincere your intentions are to a lady,and no matter what you give to her. A lady that would cheat,would cheat. You can choose to give her nothing, just a little, or plenty. If she wants to cheat,it's gonna be hard to stop her.

Lol. Personally, I think people without class and with low self esteem, are the ones who get desperate to the point of traveling through desert to Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, etc, to get into Europe. If you must travel to Europe, get a visa, a flight ticket,and travel like a normal human being. Not the one where you'd wear one cloth for several days,trekking through desert and eventually being packed like sardine on a boat to cross the sea. I know some people who have gone to Europe like this and their hustle over there is prostitution and drug dealing. Fact is that, most of these immigrants are aware of what obtains over there but most won't admit openly that they knew,so you won't see them as irresponsible.
