My brother, the thing tire me o. When did Nick Cannon become so rich to own a company that was founded in 1977,and has grown into a large global brand? Nick aint even a shareholder in Nickelodeon or its parent company,Viacom. Viacom is owned by National amusement which is being owned by 93 years old business tycoon and billionaire,Sumner Murray Redstone. And to think that this your friend claims to have lived in the US and doesn't even know jack about Nick Cannon,Nickelodeon,Viacom,CBS corp,National amusement and Sumner Redstone,is quite embarrassing. The way some Nigerians come out boldly to spew trash and give false information in public,is amazing. That's how you know folks who aren't intelligent.

"Meanwhile, the event Buhari eventually attended in place of the one on the insurgency was not only poorly attended but was full of protocol breeches, as the president was already seated before other speakers started strolling in".

So you mean the president of the world's largest black nation missed more important meetings just so He could go sit down to wait for other speakers at a "probably less important meeting"? Heavenly father, take control.

Ok. Thanks.

I don't know what else to suggest.
Most of them that I know would still be considered stressful since banga is stressful.
Like edikaikong or afang.

What about oha soup? With whole wheatmeal fufu? That's a bit easier than those other ones.

I'd suggest you load up and mixed veggies, eggs and meat/fish. (If you have electricity to keep them safe)
That way, you can make simple dinners of steak, eggs and veggies sometimes. That's healthy and easy to make.

Try fish peppersoup too. It's not hard to make.
Look recipes up on http://www.allnigerianrecipes.com/soups/

With basic stuff, you can add one a two tweaks at different times and come up with something somewhat different than the last meal.

If you really want that variety, you'll have to dedicate more time to the kitchen. It's not easy.

You can do takeout too if you don't have time to cook always.

Add sandwiches to the mix as breakfast some times. Easy to make.

I'm in naija. I won't be able to dedicate much time to cooking as such, and do not think oi can cope with making banga soup. It's a lot of work. Just a list of food combinations a bachelor can make do with without too much stress. Thanks.
cococandy:
Okay remove the beans then. Plain porridge can be very nice too with lots of veggie leaves.
What of Banga soup, or the Igbo variation ofe akwu? You can use it to eat rice or fufu.
What of Yam and egg sauce/plain stew?

So where do you reside?, let me know what more to suggest based on my experience.
Make I no dey suggest tuwo shinkafa for someone living in France cheesy

To be fair to car sellers, I think that their job is made difficult with the fact that 99% of the people who comment on car post are broke dudes who just want to read their own posts. they have no money to pay and are not even willing to buy, imagine someone posting car that we all know will go between 1.8m and 2.2m yet someone will be bidding 1m or even less ? 99% of people that buy cars from Nairaland do not comment on posts. imagine the stress that the real car dealers have to go through on Nairaland just to put their thread on first page ? They have to keep commenting all the thread just to keep the thread alive and one person with no plans to buy will just type rubbish like the dealer should call him and put a price that is annoying. I have bought two cars in the last two months from people in Nairaland without having to comment on the car post. the real buyers just pick up the number and call.
Politics › Re: SENATE PRESIDENCY PDP Positions Mark, Ekweremadu, Akpabio by chronique(m): 11:32am On Sep 27, 2015
I did not acquit him. I stated that it would be very difficult to prove the case of forgery against him due to the technicalities involved in the standing rules of the senate,viz-a-viz the claims by the plaintiffs. And on that ground,he is a better option than mark or akpabio.
bakila:
See how you easily acquitted Eke. If you have his brief you assertions would have been a very reckless one.

I think the best person from the pdp to replace Saraki,is Ekweremadu. David mark is a risky choice cos of his victory being contested at the tribunal. With all the looting being carried out by previous state governors,I don't think Apkabio should be considered at all cos his book of rememberance would be opened. The allegation of forgery against Ekweremadu would be difficult to prove cos the plaintiffs would have to present the original copy of the forged document. And since the standing orders of every senate tenure automatically expires at the expiration of that house,I don't see how the standing orders of the last senate, would be presented as the original. Looking at it critically,Ekweremadu has the brightest of chances amongst all three candidates.

I need help on the combinations of healthy foods that I can cook and eat week-in,week-out,without having to repeat certain meals over and over again. Presently,I have only 4 types of soup that I cook(okro, ogbono, egusi and vegetable). And I eat them with fufu, semo, wheat or poundo yam. Aside these, the other meals I cook often are rice, noodles and spaghetti(I don't like them;just eat them to put something in the stomach). What other meals can I add to my menu? When advising, kindly take into consideration the fact that I only have sundays to do any serious cooking. Thanks.

And I'm quite embarrassed @ the chick who got bursted lifting images of cooked foods from facebook to post here, just to feel superfly. There's nothing that beats being real and truthful to yourself and keeping it real. The fact that people post pics of various intercontinental dishes, doesn't mean they have better lives than you. Just be contented with what you have, and do you(be yourself). When you start lying, you'd need several other lies to keep it up.

I swear, that her closing sentence scared me. This is the first time a lady has said or done anything to scare me in a long while, even though I wasn't the one she was talking to. I just started imagining different scary images with blood and knife in the kitchen.

*reads comments from posters and smiles*

There's a lot of misconception and ignorance being displayed here and this might actually be because some posters here truly do not understand how cars get into naija,or how the dealership business really works,or because some people are intentionally being mischievious.

Let me quickly ask the buyers here,a very simple question: when dollar was 160naira to 1 dollar, how much were you guys buying a 2007 tokunbo toyota camry? It was an average of 2m naira. Now that it's 240 to a dollar, how much do you think same car should cost? Going by the near 50% drop in the value of the naira against the dollar,we can therefore say that the market price of a 2007 camry, should be in the region of 2.8m but yet,we're still selling around 2m. If you find anyone selling around this price, know it's a giveaway. As bad as the situation is,you'd still find clients telling you their budget is 1.8m and they want accident free ride, and would keep asking for VIN. As ridiculous as this might sound,I've had Nairalanders add me up to start pricing a toks 07 camry for 900k and 1.5m and as usual,I didn't waste time deleting them.

Buying and selling a car entails both buyer and seller having a symbiotic relationship with mutual respect. The dealer isn't doing the client a favour by selling(except when selling below market price),and the client isn't doing the dealer a favour by buying. Furthermore,I'd like to tinkle with the school of thought that suggests that the real men buying cars, are actually not on nairaland;majority of my sales are outside nairaland and are referrals from friends and clients. The buyers on NL are the ones who are ready to add up all the dealers on NL,just to get the cheapest offer for a 2004 camry(I once had someone who added me up and was in need of a used 99 lexus rx300 which I sourced from a colleague, and offered it to him at 1.150m. His response to me was that he had seen that ride before and that about 19 dealers had sent him same car. When I asked why he didn't patronize any of them,he simply said he was looking for a better deal).

Anyone waiting on NL to bring him/her a buyer, should be ready to go hungry. The real sales are outside NL.
