A lot of things are currently happening in the church nowadays. Some Christian have started introducing Traditions/Heritage into the church so that it's members who love practicing such can do that with fear of God.

Just a moment ago, a Nigerian man identified as Multimore McRowland took to his Facebook account and shared pictures of what some Christians were doing inside a church located at Onitsha, Anambra state.

Sharing the photos, he stated that the Christians were dramatizing the good Igbo traditions/Heritage (hardworking and giving) in the presence of God. McRowland disloced that the event happened at All Saint Anglican Cathedral, Onitsha, while they were celebrating their 2020 Annual celebration of God's blessing.

From what Multimore McRowland shared, some ladies were spotted dressed with fruits like banana, apple and oranges. Others were also seen carrying money on their hands while dancing onto the lord.

In his words, "Yesterday, visited the ⁦PoliceNG FCID’s cell in Abuja, found many innocent youths detained for protesting, one of them, Solomon Akuma had been detained for months becoa of online msg against Buhari⁩!" He further added, "Also met 71 year old Oga Tom Uhia, the publisher of Power Steering magazine, he was detained for writing an article against one of Buhari’s minister, Jeddy Agba! People are just being detained by Nigeria police at the behest of govt officials, top security chiefs and politicIan’s"


Honestly, we still have a very long way to go as a country. This systemic oppression would destroy our dear nation. I wish to see a Nigeria where human rights will be fully respected. Where citizens would be well protected. I thank God for people like Sowore. He said a very reassuring thing to the detainees that pleased my heart: "Don't worry, we will get everybody out!". I can imagine many other Nigerians unlawfully detained in other cells and prisons across the nation. They are stranded, broken and hopeless...they have nobody to defend them or help out ����. A boy was caught on camera wearing a Divisional Police Officer's (D.P.O) uniform while parading himself as the new D.P.O, as his friends all hailed him shouting D.P.O!. His tenure was truncated and made too brief as he got arrested under 5 days. He probably has the shortest term in office as a 'D.P.O'. He was caught among others, in the ongoing manhunt for hoodlums and thugs launched by security agents

A man is currently being investigated by police operatives in Minna, Niger State, after he was found with a locally made machine gun which can fire 14 rounds of bullets at a time, the state police command announced on Saturday, October 24.

The man, Sulaiman Abdullahi, said to be from Mailamba-Agwa Village in Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of the state, who was paraded on Saturday, was arrested by men of the Police Safer Highway Patrol team attached to Kagara Division along Tegina/Zungeru road in the state last week.


According to a statement by the state police command through its Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Abdullahi was found to be in possession of the locally made fabricated rifle which can be loaded with 14 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition.

According to reports, the man was travelling with the gun inside his bag with some live ammunition when he was intercepted by the men of the Safer Highway patrol team. He was promptly arrested and taken to the state police headquarters, Minna.

When interrogated, according to the statement, Abdullahi was said to have bought the weapon at the rate of N70,000 through his late brother, one Sani Abdullahi. He, however, did not say what the late brother was doing for a living before he died or where the gun was bought from.

The state police said the man will remain in their custody while investigation will continue over the case.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has given the reason it is yet to call off its ongoing strike, following its dispute with the Federal Government.

The national body of the university lecturers said that they are waiting for the government to conduct an integrity test on the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS), a homegrown payment platform created by ASUU in place of the government’s Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

While making the disclosure during an interview with Punch, the ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, said the government needed to give the clearance to National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to conduct an integrity test on UTAS.

The ASUU President said, “The integrity test will be handled by NITDA, it is the government that will facilitate it because NITDA is a government agency and unless you get clearance from the government that test cannot be conducted.”

On whether the government had accepted UTAS, Ogunyemi said, “We are still talking, we have given them the position of our members, we are thinking we should be able to hold a meeting this week if they have not changed plans. The meeting for Monday was postponed. In principle, they have accepted UTAS and told us to go for the test, and on our part, we have started the process.

“We had presented UTAS at three levels, starting with the Ministry of Education, Senate President and members of his team, officials of Ministry of Finance and Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, where all other stakeholders were present, including NITDA. All stakeholders have witnessed the presentation and the next stage of integrity test is what we are moving into.

If government facilitates it, it is not something that should drag for too long at all. We don’t foresee any problem with UTAS, it also depends on how early the government makes it possible for the integrity test to be conducted.”

Ogunyemi also explained that ASUU was ready to resume academic activities if the government was ready to play its part.
He said, “Our members are ready to resume work as early as the government is ready to play its part. I’m sure you are not suggesting that our members should resume on an empty stomach or the strike should be suspended without any concrete action on the side of the government. We don’t like to stay away from our work because we like our students; they are also our children.’’

Ogunyemi noted that as far as they are concerned, they don’t have any issue with going back to work, but they want more sincerity on the side of government.
