i've heard it said a lot recently that the entity called nigeria will soon cease to exist. if the states have now descended to the point of "repatriating" other state indegenes, it only points to one direction. thank you ekiti for declaring interstate war.

"all" the ladies? hmm that's a rather strong gneralization o. chairman, are you married? if yes, is your wife lazy? if your answer is "no" how would you feel seeing her being maltreated by your mum because it's her son's house? well, truth is if your parents are wicked, it is very likely you too will be. but the bottom line is if your mum is a trouble-maker, she doesn't have to stay long enough to cause your wife to breakdown and if on the other hand, you married a trouble- maker for a wife, well, it's still one week max for your mum to avoid her being disrespected and insulted. shame on a woman who can't respect her mil and shame on a woman who goes to her child's home to ferment trouble. chikena!

I will suggest you get 3dmax on your machine. 3dmax with some little plug-ins like V ray shlould be able to solve all your rendering problems. The issue here is, the file format of archicad and compactibility with 3dmax.

3dmax accept variable import file formats. .dxf,.dwg,.3ds. Should work fine.

So, you can be doing your design/modeling in a package you are familiar with and then finish it up by import into 3dmax. Because modeling a house in 3dmax is another thing all together i.e you have to learn how to use tools that would aid you in doing that, which can consume alot of your time.

Get 3dmax and install Vray, .finish up your design in archicad,autocad,inventor,solidworks,sketchup or any CG packages you are good at, then import to 3Dmax,switch rendering from default i.e scan line or mental ray to Vray.

2011 3dmax comes with an added rendering engine for time minimizing.
You can even manipulate mental ray to get stunning output at very good rendering time. As i like using mental when animating a scene.

Look for a good training DVD's on interior and exterior rendering using 3dmax. They are quiet easy to follow. With intense concerntration and constatnt practices, you should be ok within weeks or days.

Simple key frame animation and the reactor engines is one of the greatest advantange of 3dmax couple with the ability to simulate your scene.

You have to understand that it is your "wife's home" first before it is your mum's home. Your mun has her home and when you got married, you left her's for yours and your wife shares that with you. if your mum makes trouble with your wife, well it is sad but she has to be the one to give the space. i'm not saying some wives can't be silly and unreasonable in the way they act. what i'm simply stressing is if your mum feels/ hopes/ thinks that by coming to your house as the "mother" she can order you wife here and there and expects to be "served", well she got it all wrong. oga poster, i beg (abeg) no feel say because of my opinion, i no go like make you write your book for pidgin, no. but you see, for naija, na benin i grow. the pidgin for there resemble the one wey warri people dey speak but the intonation different. port harcourt and lagos own different well-well and na as dem different from each other na so benin own still be but make we no over-flog the matter. if for yor mind you don know finish say you wan do am asyou talk, no wahala but something wey i go advice you be the major reason wey we get these differences na mostly for the verbs and nouns - from our local languages, we dey transfer "slangs" enter the pidgin so i beg, try make you nouse dem plenty. if you look wetin i dey write, you fit notice say e fit no be like the one wey you know but na like this benin city pidgin english be.
i no know whether anybody wey dey follow this thread fit point the small-small differences wey dey naija pidgin but wait make i try remember some.

1. benin people go say: "me and osas go see/meet haruna together.
warri go say: "me with osas gather go see haruna.
lagos people go say: "na me and osas follow go see/visit haruna.
2. benin people go say: "i no know that/dat girl/the man (nouns) and "i no sabi cook/drive/dance(verbs)
port harcort go say: "i no sabi that girl" (nouns)
benin: "i beg teach me that thing wey you do just now"
sapele: "abeg learn wetin you do now-now".

i'm saying it and i'll keep saying it. the problem with nigeria is simple but attempting to solve it is the difficult aspect.

the current system cannot work. if anyone thinks he/she can retain the current system with the attitudes in it and "mend" it, woosai! that'll be an impossibility. obasonjo can almost ga. gave us an idea how a solution can be implemented, but he had his weakness - he too was corrupt and faced the resistance mechanism of the system.

now let me present my ideas. the failed system has developed a tough resistance machine that is anti-change and anti-progress. in the civil service to begin (this is where the "people" are found), they frustrate anyone they percieve have a positive attitude and try to force them to comformity. the first thing you learn is the civil service slogan: "no kill your self for the job. the only thing wey dem go give you na one minute silence and e no go even complete sef".

for those in government, thats another issue but i digress so "WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD?" to usurp the system by force, to be continued

Is that why there is this ongoing culture of "only me, me and I" in our society? Is that why we can't collectively do things together? Is that why Nigeria is in the state she is today? Individualism has eating deep into our psyche and that is exactly what is practiced in the west.

In America, there is an obsession with celebrity culture cultivated by these shallow shows. They are starting to complain about it and thinking of ways to tackle it. China is surpassing America in many academic endeavors, they built the fastest super computer and otherther technological advances.

I don't care about the system a nation practices, as far as it produces positive changes and add benefit to the society as a whole. I am down for it.

there's nothing to admire in chinese society structure. nigeria has its perculier problems and the solution is "not" in china. chikena!

Everyone cries that the politicians are bad, the police are worse, but have you taken the time to ponder what YOU yourself have done to make a mess of Nigeria. All Nigerians except a few are as guilty as the policeticians. Sectionalism and lack of trust is a great disease killing Nigeria. It started long ago and it's even getting stronger by the years.

I can say I love the spirit of the Nigerians, even dishonest as many of them are. I like the nature. If you have seen around Nigeria, you will indeed agree that it is really naturally a beautiful country.

well, that you don't know me personally, i can forgive your assessement and questions. some nigerians (by the choices they've made in life, their affiliations and and personal principles have earned the right to criticize the ills of the society.

Admittedly, Pidgin English is yet to be standardized, but I think that there are many commonalities among all the variants of Pidgin English that it will not be that difficult for the different Pidgin English speakers to understand a book written in Pidgin English.

As to whether my version would be easily understood, I would hope that the different Pidgin English speakers can understand or make sense of the words even if they are spelled differently from their own version of Pidgin English. You have a good point.

[tr][/tr]have you tried reading a long writeup in a language you can't read fluently? have you seen someone trying to read a book but "counts" the words? it is a difficult task and uninspiring. you'll easily give up. it's an "ordeal".

chinese society structured differently from nigerian society. while their's is a collectivist society that subjects everyone to strict comformity (most times, againt the wish of the people), ours is an individualist society where being unique as a person is encouraged. if it is the "chinese" government, then there's absolutely nothing there to admire or emulate. chikena!

wont be easy reading an entire book in pidgin besides, the language is yet to be stndardized. spellings differ from person to person. how do you know your version will be easily undestood? thats a difficult road.

depends on "who" she is and why she's there in the first place. if she's sick and peace-loving and you're to take care of her because she needs close attention, she can stay until she get's better. if she's again peaceful and gets along well with your spouse and helps out with stuff thus relieving you of some stress, she can stay long enough. bottom line is - she must be peaceful, loving, mind her business if it's important and not lazy else, na one week max.
