Hello,
I have a HTC Phone TILT but there is a problem with the flex and the touchscreen stopped working. Presently as i type the phone turns on but the screen has gone blank,I took it for repairs and the engineer says it is the flex,but it would be difficult to get it in Kaduna where I reside. I will be in Lagos on the 3rd of July for a training so I need references on where I can get it fixed and the probable cost of fixing it.

My HP DV2000 has this problem,I recently sent it for repairs because it would not display,upgraded it from Vista to Windows 7,then I when I power it,every light on the board comes on but the display will not show,in the background you would hear the windows 7 loading but the screen is blank. After the upgrade the display was working perfectly and I even installed some new programs on it,and after use i shut it down,only for me to turn it on and the display will not show again. Please what can be done to rectify the problem.

Secondly the laptop gets hot after about 20-30mins of usage. What can be done about this?
Help needed asap.

How do u mean Yeah? Pls explain, Are they not the same battery? and shouldn't I go for the #4500 battery instead?since it is also Original. Would it also give 3hrs battery life?

Zim, U r d bomb,tanx a Load for your reply. Well the Laptop is 3yrs Old and still looking good, Lol,
As for the environment,its a normal environment for us all,hot sometimes and Cold other times,I presently reside in Kaduna,and the weather is kind of cool these days because of the rains. But i try as much as possible to keep the vent free by placing the Laptop on something to keep the vent free,but it still gets hot,does it need servicing?
Another thing is that the DVD ROM does not play any CD that is burnt or that was copied,it only recognizes original CD's,so how would i upgrade the OS? I have an external DVD drive,if I insert the windows 7 OS in the ext drive and run,would it work on the Laptop?
As of today,the Laptop comes on and will not get to the part where the windows logo comes on screen,I tried using SAFE MODE but it gets to the Logo part and remains blank,I guess the Vista OS is corrupt now.
Pls What do I do? I need to get the Laptop up and running asap.

1. The laptop runs slow sometimes so I want to format it and upgrade it from a Windows Vista to Windows 7,but I was told I would have to flash the BIOS,how true is it?

2.If i have to flash the BIOS,How do i go about it?

3. Would i need to reinstall the drivers if i upgrade it to a Windows 7?

4. The laptop becomes very hot after about 10-15mins of usage and the vent emits very hot air,and the fan is working,what could be the possible problem and what is a solution to it?.

Aside the above listed probs,the laptop works fine. So please your advice and solution would be heavily appreciated.

Where can i buy the original battery for the DV2000 that would last for at least 3hrs and above. Would the battery for a DV6000 work well with it?

you can only get fairly used as original battery, and is 4500.

I believe the DV6000 battery can work on the DV2000 laptop,how come one is #4500 while the other is #8000? Are they not the same battery?

Did you buy it from their office?If yes take it back there to get it activated and get it configured too. Thats what I use and the speed is remarkable.

Could you pls explain how to configure it with forex platforms, coz all other servers have not been able to. If yours can power a forex platform reliably then you have got many clients on your hands.

I have a DELL D600 Laptop,that is working perfectly except for a few snags which includes: the Left hinges is broken but the screen still stands erect,the power button has to be pressed down hard before it powers on,the battery lasts for about 40minutes,aside these snags the Laptop works perfectly fine.
I want to exchange it for a newer Dell or Toshiba laptop,How much do i need to add to it?
