Hello everyone, I got a call from a man in the Village (Elele, Rivers State) on Tuesday night, that we should look for a way to come and carry our mother as she has slumped and was rushed to a hospital, where she was in coma.

He explained to me that my mother went to demand for the payment of the debt the man is owing her and he angrily beat her up, he stripped her , tore her clothes, her underwear was torn too. I’m literally crying as I type this. Everyone that tried to stop him he chased with the machete. Now my dad is late , else he won’t have tried this.

I am in Lagos so I’ve not seen her my sister that was able to travel to Elele to see her sent me the pictures.

She is out of coma now, but still unable to sit or stand or talk. We also noticed she is bleeding from her private part.

We arrested the evil man with the Elele police but the community Igwe bailed him, he is a known person in the community and owns a hotel there.

I really want this man to receive this level of Physical pain or more, because my mum almost lost her life.

I don’t know what to do or how to go about getting justice for her.

We are at military hospital port harcourt now.

Go to the state police headquarters and make a statement with the pictures attached. Also contact the Police Force PRO on Twitter, he'll ensure justice for your family. Make the report and let him know you've done that, he will follow up. Put up the pix as well

There’s a new Apple Store situated around ikeja, they strictly deals on Apple products only and they needed an accountant, the salary is quite good… so a good friend of mine sent me a link that I should apply for the job since I have Bsc in accounting, then I applied.

Yesterday I received an Email from the Apple Store stating that I wasn’t up to the criteria due to my class of degree. I felt disappointed but life goes on.

I just screenshot the mail and send it to my friend and he said he wasn’t aware that there was a specific class of degree ( minimum of 2:2) to apply for the job.
He cheers me up and told me better days ahead.

Though I’ve a job currently but the Apple Store is willing to pay x 2 of my current salary.
I won’t lie I felt so devastated.

Keep grinding, I graduated with a third class too but I was able to work with major EPC (Oil servicing firms) in Nigeria. Just keep gathering experience and try and get certifications in your profession. Don't be discouraged.

Omoh yesterday I prepared a delicious egusi soup, garnished with chicken breast, pomo, goat meat, titus fish, dry fish and okporoko (stock fish)--in addition to other essential ingredients like spicy (knorr and star), pumpkin leaf, etc etc.

Had a go at it yesterday evening and it was really good
Then I warmed it like around 11:00pm.

This morning, I warmed it like around 8:00 am; I would have frozen it in my freezer but I was expecting a fellow friend who'd told me he would be coming around so I didn't see the need for freezing it yet.

Now, this evening, I just remembered it when it was already 9:50pm--that's the thing sometimes with remote work; one could get engrossed in it sometimes especially if it's my kind that has to do with coding/programming and code analysis.
I just totally forgot

By the time I got to the soup, I saw it was almost starting to "foam", and I quickly put it on fire. After warming, it doesn't have the fresh taste it had anymore. Tastes a LITTLE bit sour and lacking flavour

Has anyone experienced this? What did you do to the soup (or what can be done)? Food experts.

Try putting charcoal in it in while warming it.

I am in my late twenties. It seems strange that I have never visited an airport. Sometimes i feel ashamed and never talk about it with anybody.

I don't know if it's due to too much responsibilities on me. Who is in the same boat with me? How do you cope when people talk about visiting an airport? Do you pretend as if u have visited an airport? Do you say the truth and let people mock you?

There are lots of rich people who haven't traveled by air or even gotten to the airport. It's not an achievement. You don't have to if you have no need for it. A lot of Americans don't even have international passports and have never left the country neither have they been to the airport too. You have nothing to be ashamed of

Apologies and I believe everyone is an adult that can look out for themselves but this your arrangement is doing me somehow o honestly. Everyone knows where building materials suppliers are so shopping for those here just seems off. Again, apologies bur I can not help but voice this out.

You could have as well skipped this post. I know there are building materials market scattered all over Lagos but don't you think its smarter reaching out to vendors on this platform? I represent a real estate firm and we have several projects going on.

Of about 50 tenants that I sent written instructions via my lawyer on where to pay rent to, probably less than 10 followed the instructions.

unfortunately, people do not read the message to follow the instructions and many business people in construction do not use emails....a sad reality. Most times when they even manage to send mails, you give them forms to fill and other requirements, they do not return with responses. For instance, i do not think you have submitted your own form and other required documents despite after receiving my mail with instructions
