IMO none comes up to Sin City and HG2G.
I wouldnt mind you telling us what you like about Sin City, because really chopping peoples head off in movies or slashing someone into halves is not really what i expect in a movie at all. Movies are supposed to entertain, I taught.
For mature minds who listen to dialogue and story line, Sin City is one phat movie... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/

Meantime, Sin City 2 has been scheduled for release next year... tongue
TV/MoviesRe: 'Sin City' Movie Review by Chxta(m): 10:27am On Jul 12, 2005
How can you give it just 7.5? Abi u dey craze? angry This is one of the best films ever, and point of correction, the dialogue (except in The Big Fat Kill) is a faithful adaptation of that in the comics (I have all the comics grin). I just can't wait for whenever they'll bring out a part 2 with A Dame To Kill For and To Hell And Back tongue. That will be something!

TV/MoviesRe: African American Movies by Chxta(m): 8:12am On Jul 11, 2005
IMO African Americans like Nigerians tend to excel when they stick to comedy. But the occassional non-comedy movie (mainstream) comes to mind, for example Set It Off was an excellent movie. And one of those few movies from the last 15 years that you actually take something home from.
TV/MoviesRe: 'War of the Worlds' Review by Chxta(m): 8:07am On Jul 11, 2005
I honestly liked the movie. Even if Tom Cruise added nothing, there were forced subplots about kids wanting to run off to war that never got followed, etc. (And Mr. Cruise, I don't care what you think you know about psychology, science, or the gaping hole in your ass -- shut up and dance for us on the screen like the monkey puppet you're paid to be, alright?)

But overall I did like the movie. Decent job, most definitely.

However, my biggest criticism of the movie plot variation from the book/previous 1952 movie. If we presume:

1. these aliens are from a technologically advanced civilization (enough to master mass destruction and space travel)
2. said aliens had planned this invasion for eons by planting their warships under the earth's crust before the advent of man
3. we feeble earthlings in our technologically inferior society have a rate of technical change/innovation where we cannot bear to use a computer for more than four years before it is useless landfill

then what the hell are these aliens doing, having to attack the earth with warcraft that employ million-plus year old technology?

Could you imagine being one of these aliens, having to be deployed to earth? All your friends in the military back on planet Zeldar are zipping around with interstellar hyperspeed ships with universe destruction bombs. And you? They are laughing at you hysterically for getting stuck with having to attack earthlings while riding around in what is essentially perceived as a wooden oxcart with a cork gun.
TV/MoviesRe: Best Movie of 2005? by Chxta(m): 8:04am On Jul 11, 2005
The Godfather is THE best movie of all time. (http://www.imdb.com/chart/top).I thought that we were talking about the best movie of the year (2005) thus far? If that is the case, I have watched a number, and IMO none comes up to Sin City and HG2G.

FamilyRe: Men And Women Are Equal! by Chxta(m): 4:50pm On Jul 10, 2005
As long as there are 2 human beings on this planet, you'll always have a seniour partner and a juniour partner. Men and women are not equal.
Who is the seniour partner in any given couple is a question best answered by that couple.
Please stop asking general questions.

I just read thru this thread, and it is like going back in a time machine! What the fu(k is the matter with you people Seun especially!
If a girl has lost her hymen to someone else before doesn't mean she can't be a faithful wife.
Grow up boy, stop dragging us back!
RomanceRe: [poll] Would You Prefer to Marry a Virgin? by Chxta(m): 4:40pm On Jul 10, 2005
Well, in an ideal world I'd definitely love to marry a virgin, but hey, the world isn't ideal and it'd be unfair of me to demand chasteness from a girl when I am hardly a paragon of chaste behaviour.
The important thing isn't what she did before you met, but what she did after, and also hwo both of you get along.
RomanceRe: Relationship Advice Needed (how do I handle this?) by Chxta(m): 4:36pm On Jul 10, 2005
Relationship is not about how u started, what u said what went wrong and what did not go wrong, but in all this what matters is how u are able to persevere

well, we are talking Premiership here. talking about Juve though, not until Capello came in before I began watching them. Juve play effective football not out to entertain, just to score. What is football without entertaining? Which is why I love the Primera Liga. Its not about scoring, but how you score.
Entertainment never brought trophies. Ask Milan

pkrix:
People believe things that cannot be proved more than those that can be proved. That, I have observed recently.

What happens after death is unproven.

Making the belief more difficult is what the Catholics come up with the stories of 'Purgatory', and the Jehova witness says 'no heaven, no hell.'

And some other talk about heaven and hell as if they've been there before.

But for me I believe in heaven because blessed is he that believeth even though he hasn't seen a proof.
Yeah right... rolleyes

Everyplace on earth has its problems. It is not just about money, it is about where you will feel best in, and for me at this point in time, na Naija. That could change, (let no one tell me because I don't know better), haven't been to the US, but the UK and Canada were deadly cold! undecided

"make i tell you all those guys who are forming as friends fall into these categories:

1. planning to have sex

2. tried it and got nailed but is still hoping that one day he might get lucky

3. Gay

4. Weirdo

But if the girls is ugly but funny then she could have loads of male friends who have no ulterior motive"

hot-angel too with

"Laide it is possible, but it always ends up in something else. I have so many guy friends, but mostly we end up being "friends with benefit"

friends with benefits!!!!!!!!! thats what happens in most cases. you're friends, each with his own partner but you smooch each other freely but secretly
ComputersRe: Antivirus Keeps Prompting me to Reboot my System by Chxta(m): 10:49am On Jul 10, 2005
Disable the E-trust and uninstall. If you can't uninstall, delete the entire CA folder in program files and then run your registry editor and do the same (hope you don't fvck up your registry).
After you have completely removed the E-trust thingy, please install a better anti-virus (I recommend Zone Alarm or Anti-Vir), and a good anti-spyware program (I recommend Ad-Aware). Happy cleaning!

IMO we should keep Bakassi. By force if necessary. We have to maintain our national pride!
