melvinjames: Please no tribalism on this very important subject.
Igbos want to live anywhere except in Biafra. For a people clamouring for secession, you'd think most Igbos would want to live in Biafra but no. Half of those vituperating on twitter and Nairaland actually live in the SW. One would have thought the first thing to do was to build Biafra and make it an enviable place.
5% of Yorubas live outside Yoruba land 10% of Hausas live outside the north. A whopping percentage of Igbos live outside Igbo land. (about 80%)
What am I not getting? A very very stupid question!! Are there not some of your kinsmen living outside Nigeria with their Nigerian passport?? Does having your own country prevent you from living in other people's countries?? Nawaoo! I don't know exactly how we came to have so many people with brains of cockroaches in Nigeria. Tufiakwa! |

You have no fear to even step into the Bishops Court..
Fools...
Is it the Bishop that is holding Mbaka....Even if he is one holding him....as the Bishop he has every right to strip him and send him on solitude...
Discipline if necessary....
The Bishop shouldn't take this nonsense lightly as this can only be born out of foolishness.
Ndi ala Mass. You're an idiotic hausa/fulani sympathiser Why would any bishop even think of stripping him for criticising the clueless Buhari? |

felzylix: I need HELP on this please! I just realized I might have sent my doge to a wrong doge wallet on trust wallet. I sent the token using the doge network on Binance to the wallet (first picture) my token is there, fine and maintaining the normal value but I can’t trade or send it out using thesame network i sent it in with.
Any idea how i can move it from the first wallet (picture1) to second wallet (picture 2) ?
Please I really need to sort this... Why're you guys buying Doge at ATH and sending it from one wallet to another? Doge is meant to be bought and sold between now and Saturday night, unless you were already in far before the recent hype. Coins bought for short term plays should be left on the exchange. |

deking: Chief, I guess the major difference would be the nature of the build area and this is a twin 4 bedroom duplex.
Did you have to do raft foundation for the building?
Also in the last 2 months building materials have moved by significant amounts.
Iron rods was 330k per ton in February but now around 385K
Cement was N2850 but sold at N3400 2 Saturdays ago and just last Tuesday it sold for N3800.
This is just to show that construction cost depends sometimes on location and time Ok, for a twin 4bedroom duplex plus that raft foundation, it makes sense. |

deking: Cost to this point
Estimate at the beginning ===> N6.2M
Actual despite price movements on some items ==> 5.8M.
We were able to save cost on wood as the owner agreed to share the wood with other projects we got in the neighborhood. The owner saved over 600k with this arrangement.
If you need specific details please shoot me a mail. Bros, are you sure this is a "budget" project? 5.8m already at this level When i built a 5 bedroom duplex in imo recently, i know where 5.8m took me, despite not being on ground to watch over sharp practices. Unless "budget" as used here does not mean low cost. I guess the land being waterlogged contributed significantly to this amount. |

sonnie10: Average salary of a Radiographer in the US is $60 while that of a Pharmacist is $100k
In terms of educational qualification Radiography is a two year program with Associate degree while Pharmcy is a doctorate degree program
There are more job opportunities in pharmacy than it is in radiography
In Nigeria, it’s easy to start your own pharmacy but you need a lot of money to buy equipment for an imaging center except you only want to do ultrasound scan and plain film X-ray. Don't these kids throwing advices here. Most of them are not even in the medical field to know what's obtainable. If he reads Radiography and stays in Nigeria, hunger may finish him off, as government jobs are not readily available and even when they come, the salary won't be enough to cater for his basic needs. And he may not have the capital to start a good diagnostic centre. He would be left at the mercy of private hospitals and diagnostic centres where he would be paid between 30,000 to 60,000 naira per month. Then, he would learn his lessons. |

Now that you've learned your handiwork and working in your shop, will you also be your own doctor or you'll still visit my hospital when you fall sick? Are you going to be your own lawyer too?
There are different roles to play in the society. Some of them will need some people going to school to learn how to play them, while some will require some other people coming to your shop in order to learn them. |

mroyato: It's quite unfortunate that I stumbled on this post very late (almost 2 years after). However, I am sure that the OP must have made a good decision; and I would appreciate if he could let us know what his final decision was.
That being said, there is a big illusion down here regarding the west. Many people (read Nigerians) think it's all rosy out there and would rather do a menial job with a PhD qualification in Germany or Canada than to make that bold decision of coming back home. They think it's your village people at work when you eventually decide to come home. Pathetic!
I do not know what name to call such a low self esteem mentality, and I always wonder how we have settled to live with such a low, weak, and timid mentality. Listen, there is an hidden hierarchy of preference in the west, and unfortunately, Africa is last on the scale with Nigeria sitting rock bottom on the list.
Unless you are an IT guru, extremely brilliant and exceptional, your chances of doing anything professional in the west is less than 10%. Except otherwise, you have an EU/US passport. Therefore, in most cases, the best option is to come back home, try your hands on a couple of things, and if it doesnt work, you can then consider going back to europe or any other location of choice.
The crux of my argument is that coming home is a viable option, and if there's any one else in this kind of situation, do not let anyone, be it your family member or friends, force or convince you into living an unfulfilled life that you will later regret, in the name of staying abroad.
My 2 cents! Don't mind them. Only people who haven't traveled think like that. Maybe, when i finally come back home in a few years time to run my own package, they will chase me back. |

Forget about the owner giving money to your friend. After all, you didn't witness it Insist the money was not paid after completing the agreed job. Don't tell anybody the owner paid the agreed fee to your friend With this, even if the owner goes to the police, he can't win you. There's a lot of difference between now and 2017. Panicky day traders no longer have much influence on the market: their activities have been restricted to minor dips/corrections. Hope you noticed that even the usual Chinese new year celebrations couldn't cause any significant pullback this year? Anything that can crash this current market to that of 2017 level would be very very strong; maybe something like the US government coming out hard on Bitcoin or anything that would make institutions and whales sell out enmass.
