Igbo had to chose between Obasanjo and Falae(Yoruba choice), no other choice... Igbo is the most tribalistic people in Nigeria, 2023 presidential election reflect this... shocked

Asiwaju is coming kiss

My brother u are lying. Igbos are always voting on competent not region. they voted emass for Obasanjo, Abiola and Yaradua based on competent. If Orji Uzo Kalu was contesting against Tinubu, Igbos would have chosen Tinubu even though Tinubu is the most corrupt Nigeria politician alife.

My brother, pls don’t fall for those deceit. There is no discipline that would give u work abroad. If u re a nurse or medical doc in Nigeria. U still need license examinations like Nclex. Nclex for instant might take u 3yrs to pass depends on your IQ. Engineering start start afresh in d western countries unless u re ready for top up and certifications.

Your behaviour showed that u are still a kid. Your cousin would be happy to hear that u have traveled out of Naija. by the time u traveled u would understand y ur cousin(s) re behaving that way. there is no ego, just normal western life.
Etinosa1234:

I have a cousin that I’m older than with a year
We were tight friends when he was still in Nigeria

Then when he travelled to Australia , after I struggled to look for his fb username... he doesn’t reply my msgs... even if I comment under his posts, he’ll hardly reply

He’s not working or doing anything but he doesn’t reply my msg

His elder sister came back to Nigeria last year(that one is older than me with a year)

I asked her, give me ur WhatsApp number... let’s continue chatting when u get to Aussie, omo she jus snub me ooo

It’s ego that’s also doing some of them

I’ve stopped messaging them sha ... me self get self esteem

Las las i still wish them well

I have many cousins abroad but I was jus too close with this boy that I went through stress of searching for him online

Now I’m just planning my own movement out of this country lemme show the guy say abroad nor be anything for we Naija guys

The answer to your question is simple. you can only find the true answer by yourself when u travel. I felt the same way till I traveled. when u enter into another world with full hope and the hyping u got b4 traveling only to find out the truth when u arrived. by the time u start working two jobs to enable u pay your bills and u will be by yourself with no help. Even your sister who used to send u small dollars when u were in Nigeria would tell you tha OYO is your new name here in the state! my brother travel and see.
SoccerUSA:
As seen in the topic, I have two friends that travelled to the U.S, One travelled 2014 and the other one 2017, though before they left we had a good vibes we were both close if not best friends before they left.

The one of 2014 stopped texting me at 2018 or so even when I wished him birthday wishes and same with the other. I knew this because I only texted them on Facebook and you will know when they read and not reply.

I don't hold any grudges against them though
Did you guys think it's normal? Like if I leave Nigeria, Would I also ignore my friends text even if they do not request anything from me?

Please can someone just explain to me so I won't see my friends (maybe former friends) as bad ones.

Most western countries want all your degree courses to be 3 credits unit. Wes's evaluation of the HND course ranges from 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 credit units. WES degree evaluation re mostly 3 credit. you cannot be admitted into master's program with a 2.0 credit unit in the western world universities. they use your HND as a prerequisite for degree admission. Think of it why would the western world accept your HND for Master while Your inferior country called Nigeria does not accept it for master's programm. Any day Your country start regarding your HND, western world would regard it as well

Since u are in your final year in Nigeria medical school, remove your mind from marrying abroad babe. You agreed when u were linked up wt her because u want to come over or spend ur life in USA. As a medical doctor, marry your girl friend who have suffered or manage wt u these days! you guys should build future together. if u later the yanki babe, get ready to face agreeing to all her decision, she would make all almost 90 percent of all the decision. she would approve when to travel lik vising Naija or .... She is doing her masters does not mean she is earning a good living in USA unless she is in medical field. Is she RN? many if she do not study a lucrative course here in USA, after her masters, she would still search for a job, unless she is willing to teach which does not pay good. once u move in, u would bear the whole bills including morgage which she would inherit if u guys divorce. if u are that kind of person who love bragging or love respect just hang up with her because u won't get respect or what u want her in the USA. just go for naija babe and enjoy the rest of your life. u would soon make it so take it easy as not to hurt urself. for more personal advice pls write to us on spencermasanja at gmail com

Please help me. I am in medical school. My cousin and his wife (both living in USA) introduced a girl to me. They want me to come over.

From my understanding the two families are friends.

According to my cousin, "she is a good girl from a good family "

I have already started chatting with her, she seems cool, apparently.

But I need unbiased views from those with experience please.

Put yourself in my position and advise me.

she's 27. She is doing her masters .im 29, finishing next yr.

Thank you.

otipoju:

Your brother can actually file for a green card for you. But once he does it will take time as long as 5 years or more on the queue and during that time it will be hard for you to get a visit visa since you have already declared your intention to migrate.

So it is more advisable for him to invite you then when you come visiting, he can then file to adjust your status. That way you can get a work permit to work and also get advanced parole if you want to travel out of USA before you green card is approved.

U must be novice. File green card as what?

I'm just curious to know.
I would like to be more enlightened on this.

If my brother, I meant my own blood brother becomes an American citizen, I as a Nigerian, what do I stand to gain from it?

Will it increase my chances of traveling to America, will I have better chances to gain from institutions there, or and what other benefits do I stand to gain.

Bros, there is zero benefit. If your brother is in the military u wud have good benefit only if he includes your name as one of POA(s). If your parent are US citizens, they can file for you, provided you are under 21 years. You wil migrate after 10years plus due to priority due date. Takes up to 15yrs now. But if u wana come to US as soon as one year or less and have legal document too, marry a US citizen. Try to look beyond your brother. Your brother can’t help u bc the system here does not support it. If he give u invitation letter, when u visit, u wud stay as undocumented after which u wud become a burden to him. Pls do not blame your sibs for not helping u migrate to state. It is due to d condition of d system. Try to channel your mind on other skills and moving to usa would be added when least expected. There was this brother of mine who is my landlord then during my school days. He told me he needed to travel out of the country, though his junior sister stays in London, he wanted to use that influence to travel out.

The day came when he is about going, he got his visa, he showed me and he said to me if he gets there that he will not disappoint me that I should not worry ...

Though he is managing too, his sister sent him money for travelling and processing of the visa. He told me to dash him my suit and winter coat also one of my shoe of which I did. He is very local and not sociable.. It was the suit I gave him and my shoe he wore to UK.

When he got to UK, two Months later I heard that he sent money to his girlfriend and that one is just fuckinng around.

Fastfoward to this time i sent him messages on Facebook just to say hi and to know hope he is doing well. He did not reply but he saw my messages. Llater again I resend him message he told me that he will block me. He pretended as if he doesn't know me. This is the brother that do borrow Maggie and salt whenever he wants to cook or even beg me for soup.....

My intention is to greet him not demanding money from him. But now is it a crime to say hello because you stay in UK or Yankee? I don't know why people staying abroad always change their attitude whenever they travel out of the country.....

Please Share your experiences
My brother your write up is a significant of a novice who thought people who travelled abroad climbs dollar trees every morning to plug out dollars.
Let me educate u a little bit, your bros or friend who travelled to london have to work an average of 16hrs a day to be able to pay bills and shop for his stomach. The helping relationship between him and his sister stopped the nite he was admitted into UK. OYO is his name, he must work to if he is willing to stay back in d uk, wether illegal or legal job, there is work for legal and illegal migrant provideded u can fit in whatever jobs u see which include serving in a restaurant, cleaning, house help, meat house, mannial jobs etc which gives u less than 4hrs per day but u can be lucky working more hours. Mind illegal migrants does not work in health care and other agencies who have more hours to give u. Your bros is there passing tru many difficulties, discrimination, ancent and thinking how to work and save some cash and find a way to legalize his documents either tru arrangee or other means. With all this things he was passing tru, u re busy in naija forming he does nt call u or send money to u bc u gave him smelling okirika shoe and monkey coat. After 8yrs when ur head and your ego re no longer controlling u, and your pocket is hitching u and u remember to say hi to him without knwing that wht u re facing here is almost d same he was facing as undocumented resident. My advice to u guys is never u put your mind or hope on someone abroad or home for help. Try to be a giver your self. Chuks write frm ifo high school ogun state. JSS3A

Hi, my name is Jay currently based in dc usa.
I studied mech engine back in naija with CGPA 4.02. I came to state for my masters degree. After msc, i stayed back, mind u im a permenent resident. With experience i have here in state, i wud advice u to stay back in naija and start somtin wt d 2m while u pursue and advance your career, coming to state with student visa/f1 and buget of 2m naira without back up would frustrate u. Dont hope of gaining full employment after msc bc no firm would file work permit base on your course. If u wish of staying back after msc, think of starting afresh, think of health related courses, a lot of hospitals and nursing homes would file work permit provided u are willing to dance to their condition.
Thanks

This section has been very helpful.

I am a young lawyer and on the verge of rounding off my NYSC.

I have been thinking of how to secure a good future hence have been considering migrating to Canada or the USA.

Law is not a STEM course and switching career may not be easy at all.

I am wondering if there are opportunities for Lawyers in Canada or the USA (or even New Zealand, Australia.)

I am looking at migrating via Masters degree --- that''s if I can gain a full or partial scholarship with 3.9 CGPA on a 5 point scale or migrating through Canadian FSW.

Or do I just stay back in Nigeria?

I can raise 2 million naira.

Suggestions needed please. I am tired. Seriously tired because the future looks bleak.

Autos / Clean Nigerian Used Kia Rio 2006 For Uber - 08094844302, 08039709352 #650000 by chydon22: 3:27pm On Dec 03, 2017
Price is #650,000, Manual, chill cold room A/C, Audio, Bluetooth, Phone handfree, New Alloy Rim, New compressor, Seat cover, Etc.
I want to sell this car simply because God has given me another one, so no need of keeping it. I would have used it for uber business but I don't have a reliable driver to handle it for me.

So one advantage the buyer will have is the car is very good for uber business, the factory fitted a/c is working perfectly, the custom alloyed rim makes the car sexy and even the sound system is very cool with free mp3/mp4 player and free car phone Bluetooth hand-free.

Please note that the car is manual not automatic, which makes the maintenance very cheap and easy. This is a very strong car for Nigerian rugged road terrain.
This is a rare opportunity for the lucky buyer. Serious and urgent buyer needed.
