Business / Samosa, Spring Rolls, Puff-puff And Cocktails From Andco Foods! by chymdyx(m): 5:36pm On Dec 04, 2023
Wondering what snacks to serve at your event?? I got an idea!! Samosa and springrolls!

Samosa and spring rolls are two popular snacks that can make your event more fun and delicious. Here are some reasons why you should include them in your menu:

- Samosa and spring rolls are easy to make and serve. You can either buy them ready-made (raw and unfried) from a store or have an expert caterer like ANDCO FOODS supply you, already fried.

- Samosa and spring rolls are versatile and customizable. You can fill them with different kinds of meat, vegetables, cheese, or spices according to your taste and preference. You can also serve them with different sauces, such as ketchup, chutney, mayonnaise or pepper sauce .

- Samosa and spring rolls are suitable for different occasions and themes. You can serve them as appetizers, snacks, or main courses. You can also arrange them in different sizes to match the mood and style of your event. For example, you can make mini samosas and spring rolls for a cocktail party, or large ones for a picnic .

- Samosa and spring rolls are tasty and satisfying. They have a crispy outer layer and a soft inner filling that create a contrast of textures and flavors. They are also filling and nutritious, as they contain protein, fiber, and vitamins. They can keep your guests happy and energized throughout your event .

- Samosa and spring rolls can also serve different age groups. They are suitable for children and adults. They are not too spicy or too bland, and they can be adjusted to suit different preferences. They are also easy to eat and digest, as they do not require any utensils or cutting .

- Samosa and spring rolls are affordable and cost-effective. They are made with simple ingredients, such as flour, oil, and vegetables. You can get a large batch of them with a small budget from caterers like ANDco Foods. You can also save money by buying them raw, in bulk.

In conclusion, samosa and spring rolls are great snacks that can enhance your event. They are easy, versatile, suitable, and tasty. You can make them yourself or buy them from a ANDco Foods. You can also request for different fillings and sauces to create your own unique versions. Your guests will surely enjoy them and appreciate your effort.

Sure. I don't have any issues with using free materials or encouragimg folks to source for free materials especially as we don't have high purchasing power in the country. Even me myself I used free YouTube materials to develop my skill set. So no I'm fine with people hunting free materials. I just wanted to point out that it's also great for folks to pay for materials if they can afford to. We are good fam. And great contribution to the discussion

thanks a lot. appreciate

Please make me understand how paying for learning materials is a problem.

I understand that there are "free" materials and a lot of Nigerians love these so-called "free" stuff. Nothing wrong with that. But saying it's a problem to purchase materials that the OP could obviously afford. That I don't understand.

Let's learn to normalise purchasing content that will make us better. Instead of of mentality of being "sharp" and hunting "free" materials that cost someone time and money to prepare. Nothing is ever free. Not even in free town. You always pay. Either by offering your personal data and being a target for ads. Or paying outright and being somewhat liberated from ads.

No one ie being "smart" when they hunt down "free" materials. You ALWAYS pay. May not be you forking out money for the material. But you ALWAYS pay

ok.. i get the bone of contention. Notice that i succeeded the statement about paid courses by saying paid courses are very good. paid courses weren't the problem.. according to my write up. The problem was the fact that he was relying on 2 courses alone, wether paid or free!

Telling him to pay for 6 courses on the same subject would be impractical.. so i suggested the next best thing. Get free courses to compliment the paid courses. So that he is learning from different teachers. There is always something this teacher said, that this other teacher missed. Or this teacher explains it in a different way, so u grasp it better.
Same advice goes to students in our colleges. You wanna be above average in your field? Above your peers? take online courses in your field. 3 or 4 different ones, wether paid (if you can afford it, why not?) or the free ones if you can't afford it. i hope we have reached some kinda common ground??

you bought 2 courses? well that's the problem. paid courses are very good.. but the absolutely smart thing to do.. is compliment them with free courses!

free c0de camp on youtube offers a lot of free courses.. so does w 3 schools.. and a lot of others i could give you privately. it'll speed up your learning i promise you!! you can't depend on just one source!! many rivers flow into a big sea!!

Then here is a practical advice i learnt a long time ago in high school. learn from multiple teachers at the same time.!!
don't do only one course.. do 3 or 4! some may argue with this.. and you may wonder where you'll get the time.. but if you study 3 hrs, split those 3 hours to 3 teachers of the same course. This changed my css game totally.

I'm a newbie in tech.. but I've learnt a whole lotta other things. you may think you aren't grasping what's being thought, meanwhile it's the teacher not giving it to you in a way you can grasp.
you'll come across another teacher, who'll explain it differently and you'll be like.. ohhh!! is this what dat other guy was trying to say?
you get my point??

Romance / Re: What Is The Minimum You Should Earn In A Month To Consider Marriage by chymdyx(m): 9:14am On Jun 20, 2023
pansophist:
The income threshold should not matter much if the couples are industrious, committed to the marriage, and genuinely loves and want to help each other grow. That's the true meaning behind the ´´For better for worse´¨ pledge.

For example, you can be a businessman earning 1M naira a month, and a life-changing event happened (eg war, accident, loss of revenue via govt regulations, etc). Should divorce now become the automatic consequence due to loss/reduction of funds?

The reason for marriage is not to be happy, although happiness can be a feature. Marriage is simply how two individuals come together, making themselves stronger to navigate this sad journey called life.

There will be ups and down, and if one is going to just checkout with every life's challenges, then don't get married. It's not a place for soft-life girls or irresponsible men. Its a place for two fighters teaming up as one, to become formidable.

sir.. i wish you'd expand more on this. This is very deep. The reason for marriage is not happiness. so true.. yet enigmatic. pls expand a bit more.

hi, bro... i honestly wish you the best.

Honestly, the problem here is your 1500 profit expectation. that is 5% of your capital every day.. from the onset?

This figure is easily achievable.. but it takes a bit of time. Don't go in with this expectation. Every business takes a bit of time to get going.

Having said this.. here are a few businesses you can start with that amount, which is actually quite small.

1) Bread supply business- you can be a retailer if you know any busy place, with a lot of foot traffic, where you can get a spot. The profit margin is quite good, #50 to #100 on each one. maybe more sef.

2) Egg supply: i don't know much about this one, but i know a friends aunt who does it, and it grows with time, and is profitable.

3) Honey business: This one is quite good to.. profitable and requires small capital.
But the challenge is getting pure original honey. Though i know someone in Benue who supplies pure original honey wholesale. You can start selling to your neighbours, friends, church members.. etc

4) Like some one above suggested.. sell someone else's product.

i Sell authentic sports wears (both shirts and nike and adidas shorts) at wholesale price. If you know footballers, gym goers, people who jog.. or you have a spot along a busy place where you can sample cloths.. i can supply you at low prices and you sell at a profit.

However, all the above mentioned ideas, will still require a bit of time to pick up.
No matter how good your food recipe, and how good your burner, it'll still take time to get ready!

A simp is a man who prioritizes a woman, period. He is a stupid simp. i was one, a long time ago..

I'm talking to men.. because having this conversation with a woman is like talking to a brick wall.
Women, will always try to justify, and prioritize, and beautify anything that favors them. Simple.

Then some stupid men, in the hope of getting laid (which they'll never get), would be supporting them. Weak men. just a little better than a maggot. Spits.

A real man prioritizes himself! His dreams. His goals! The woman falls in line, and if she doesn't, she leaves. period!
The simp is any man afraid of losing a woman, who has shown no support or regard for him, his family, or his dreams!

What they don't get is.. these women here ranting.. will always.. ALWAYS, cheat on the simp.. with a real man.

Do real men not get cheated on? hardly.. and if they do, they drop her ASAP.. and move on.

But the simp? noooo. She'll cry crocodile tears, and he'll forgive her. And the world will clap for him. And years later he is raising another man's child.
you guys are a bunch of jokers!

Celebrities / Re: Marriage Is Dead, Women Have Turned It Into Poverty Alleviation Scheme— OAP Nedu by chymdyx(m): 11:15pm On Apr 16, 2023
nairalanda1:
Marriage is not dead, and let's stop these kind of articles on Nairaland.

The truth of the matter is that when it comes to marriage, Nairaland has turned it into war between men and women. Indeed it has become so disgusting that I wonder if I am in another world.

When I look at the life of myself and my friends, I wonder if we live in a different world from the world of most Nairalanders, a world where men are stingy and women think only about money. Where men have sidechicks, and women have babies for other men and pass it off on their boyfriends.

The OAP is (I apologise to the mods beforehand) talking a load of rubbish. You need money in a marriage. You need to pay school fees, need to pay for food, need to pay for car maintenance, and new car, house rent or mortgage fees, clothes for the children, furniture, repairs, even bedsheet. So, why won't women and men be looking for money. Is looking for money a sign that one is greedy or a sign that one needs to pay school fees before 3 pm tomorrow or else little Elsa would be kicked out of school for fees?

Are not men's relations too looking for money as well, and putting pressure on family.

Women are suffering too much on this site, and so also are men. And on this thread, women too are suffering. Yes, GOD knows there are materailistic women. God knows that. But when a woman needs money, is it for materialism all the time? Yet these online heroes think that when a woman asks for money, it is because she is being greedy.

Honestly, I am a very conservative person. I believe a man is the head of the house, and all that, but this nonsense that is being propagated on this site everyday just because of the bad habits of a few women needs to effing stop. And let's be frank, for every materialistic woman, there are 9 women who put their families and others first...yet on Nairaland, every woman is evil and conniving apparently.

All for clicks.

Abeg, call me SIMP, I no send you. You cannot be here abusing women and tomorrow, begging woman to marry you. Or abusing women, and forgetting your mother too , sisters too are women.

If you think women are after you for money, just go and marry yourself, or another man. Stop disturbing us here. After all it is acceptable these days.

Seun, enough is enough.

Make people laugh at me, this man does not care.

All of you guys are just saying things that has nothing to do with my point. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My main point. My only point.

Cultures are not 'equal'. Male guests sleep with wives in some. Women are allowed a free last sex on their wedding's eve in some. That is their NORMAL.

I am not talking about nothing else...

You cannot cheer one and condemn another, as guys have evidently been found to do. And those are the people I am speaking to.

They cannot justify every other male-centric traditions on the altar of cultures being dynamic, but want to scream blue murder where they now see a gynocentric culture.

Again, I am not speaking to the "goodness" or "badness" of these practices nor am I concerned with whatever personal morals you operate by.

okay.. so did this lady in question commit this act.. in a place.. where culture permits it?
if that was the case.. if the prevailing culture in her area permitted it.. i won't be talking!
it doesn't!! The culture here.. where a guy is supposed to pay a lady's bride price.. doesn't permit such!!
in fact.. in the real intention of bride price, you were supposed to be marrying a virgin.. and you are to give her and her parents special gifts for her virginity!

So.. i get ur point.. but let the lady in this story migrate to a place where such is approved by culture!! Men philandering and giving their wives as 'kola' to their guests.. is accepted in some cultures.. and some men applaud it.. okay.. i agree.
its their choice.

my point is.. if she did d above in a place where it is approved.. there'd be no qualms.. but doing it here!! there is a big ass problem!!!

You men can be funny sometimes sha. grin

There are some cultures around the world where it is perfectly normal for wives to be provided as 'entertainment' to guests. So many of such stories have been shared here (I remember one particular account by MrBrownJay), and when you guys hear such, you're always so greatly excited.

You always fantasise about going to communities where this is in practice, so you can be offered a man's wife and engage in a threèsome.

But the moment you're presented with alternative cultures which are slightly less patriarchal than others, where it is the wife-to-be who gets to have one last sex, or some form of apparent advantage over the man, you will flare up.

You should know where to draw the line between your cultural ideals which run counter to Christianity principles.

You cannot celebrate and cheer at myriad sexual and cultural practices in the world (child marriage, for example) but want to draw the line at and insist on feminine 'dignity' and purity in the same cultures.

It is Christianity that places the biggest emphasis on virginity, for both one man and one woman.

But you people will want to be treated like traditional Lords by a Christian woman.

So stop cherry-picking which "weird" cultural practices to acclaim or condemn as you wish.

NB: Nowhere in the above post have I said I agree to any of such cultural practices.

to be fair.. this is so because the woman is expecting a traditional man..
who'll pay her 'bride price' (which is a stupid culture in my opinion, considering how little value for money the man is getting in return)
provide for her and the kids, slave to pay bills, protect her and the kids, etc.
so she cannot want a traditional man, and act untraditionally!
If the man doesn't do all the above listed, he is labelled useless...
so understand when the men feel certain entitlement..
