Op, To be frank with you, you didn't take the interview serious because if you do, you would have been VERY CAREFUL of the words that comes out of your mouth during the scene. Thank GOD you learnt alot from your mistakes.

Also, the interviewer asked if you were a virgin? It means he/she is trying to know how you can control your anger when you are faced with clients who provokes or tests people's patience. Remember, the interviewer said as a "PUBLIC MEDIA OFFICER" meaning that everyday your job is to meet different personalities with different characters. For you to behave that way during the interview shows your interviewer that, if that question was asked by their clients you may take it personal.
Before I got the job I am doing now, I was asked in an interview if I have stolen before? Also, I was asked the meaning of my Family name?

So, asking you if you were a virgin wasn't wrong in respect of the job role you were interviewed on. If I were you, I would smile with eye contact and say NO.

Well, it depends on individual choices. I know a friend during my service year when I told him that I don't like the job he is doing due to the stress, But with boldness he told me that he DOESN'T like sitting and working in a bank, and that he loves marketing'(waka waka jobs)'. The guy has spent 3years working as a Loan Officer with micro finance bank then, but he is doing well and they must have promoted him now to a BM.
I would say marketing/sales is enjoyable when you are a full staff of the bank, it's job and a career because you can get certifications on it, You will now be a professional and get a full salary and other benefits.
In otherwords, a contract based marketing is not enjoyable which may OR may not give you a career and may be OR may not be a job. It will give you a career OR be a job to you when you are happy, okay with the salary and working conditions, vice-versa. Like the one I am doing now, I am not okay with it and I don't want a career in it, with low pay and it's a contract too.

and she has indirectly assured me that I would work in her department and that before I leave, I would use her PC to do a little calculation for her using MS Excel. I began to happy in my mind and thanking GOD internally.
But something happened along the scenerio, hmmm. Wait a minute! she said! In laughter and joking mood she asked, Where would you see yourself in five years time?
'CHAI! NA HERE YAWA COM GAS.' Instead of me to say something in accordance or inline with her department, since she has indirectly assured me to work in her department as a Teller, I began to say rubbish. The interviewer's mood changed. In a frown face, she now asked me to go without typing again.
At this point, I knew that I have failed.After two weeks they contacted those that passed for an induction and didn't contact me. Suppossing I got that job,honestly I will be influencing my boss easily based on my chat with her, Lol.

I am moved by your write up to tell my own weirdest interview question too so that people can learn because I have learnt something in this your little write up.

It goes this way...I was called for an interview with a cool bank for the post of a Transaction Officer. I have started sweating already due to the distance to the bank and I was caught by traffic. I got there successfully. we were about 20 interviewees. Let me go straight to the point. My own interview began this way....May I meet you? Your work experience? I was sweating because I am nervous(my first experience) Are you hot? I smiled and said YES! she quickly put on the AC,in that process i regained my confidence. Tell me about your position in your family? Your dad,mum and siblings' occupation? What is your proficiency in MS office suit? Why should I hire you? Have you stolen before?
Infact, I answered very well because she was taking my records and was very happy with the way I comported myself.

I wonder what motivated you guys to go for the aptitude test in the first place, is it the pay or what? Or is it not the same mansard insurance staff i met at U-Connect office during my interview for a teller? The guy said that the job(mansard insurance) is stressfull and he is not well paid and needs an operation job.
I can't work with an Insurance firm(marketing department) in Nigerian again due to my past experience with them. I prefer to continuing working as a DSA in my Bank than Insurance firm because insurance policies are very difficult to sell than Bank services.

Anyways, sorry for the disappointment. Those are the challenges one faces while job hunting.
