during OBJ era, we northerners did not really vote for OBJ but OBJ was very influential to our governers that he won

He did not do the same with Lagos, did he

even the people of the south did not really vote for OBj(thus the governor have more power) unlike the northern governor because they were scare of OBJ

lastly, this would bring sense of disunity

ie southern nigeria///////northern nigeria thing is not right if we are one nigeria

I think the problem stems from FG allowing northern governor to have too much power and independency unlike the southern governors.

The discrimination won't happen because there would be no collecting of people from the north in the south after the northerner governors are made to implement the system and given deadline and consequences of not meeting the deadline.Also, the governors would do whatever they can to stop there indigenes from venturing into other states. A system where when the almajiris are caught in southern states they state the state from which they came and after they are sent back a record is kept and after a particular range of time a report is sent to the governors from which state those almajiris come from and they are taxed for not preventing the fall out of their almajiris into another state.

when fashola deported them back to the north, they simply would get on the next bus or even walk to lagos(yes walk)

fashola deporting them was just to temporary solution to a major problem

Don't you think that when it reaches the point where one governor is trying to protect the lives of the citizens of his state and the governors which are allowing their indigenes to reck havoc on another states citizen that it is no longer a state matter but a Federal matter and the FG should implement a system which it should be mandatory of state goverments to implement or be taxed(not only by money)?

Alj harem, this was a real question and not for anybody tribal nonsense. The almajiris that were removed from lagos earlier were not from the SW but the north. I am soly speaking about lagos, nowhere else. No tribal nonsense.don't include me.

I am starting to think jason and alj harem are one of the same.

It's funny because all of the igbo bashing threads, they leave up or move to the tribalism section but they completely delete the yoruba bashing threads. Those two are really the only one screwing up things. Jason's an itsekiri and alj harem is an undercover yoruba.

THE media aide to ousted Governor Olusegun Oni of Ekiti State, Mr Wale Ojo-Lanre, has described as phony and a hoax, the declaration of assets by Governor Kayode Fayemi and his deputy, Mrs Funmilayo Olayinka, saying that “this mumbo-jumbo assets declaration can only come from people who are out to prepare grounds for an impending grand looting of the state treasury.”

Ojo-Lanre, in a statement made available to the Nigerian Tribune, on Tuesday, said “Ekiti people deserve to know how Fayemi was able to acquire assets worth N750 million within four years and how much was paid as tax on his income and, most importantly, where the assets are located.

“How on earth can the same Fayemi, who was quoted in an interview published in The Nation of November 11, 2010 that there were days in the struggle that he could not boast of N5,000 in his account and had to depend on his wife for sorting out family challenges now claim to be worth N750 million?”

Also, reacting to Fayemi’s deputy, Mrs Olayinka’s claim, Wale Ojo-Lanre said “we wish to ask how someone who never rose to the level of a managing director of bank was able to acquire N1.2 billion assets.”
