Politics › Re: 2011: Ohanaeze Caucus Okays Jonathan’s Endorsement by chyz(m): 6:07pm On Nov 01, 2010 |
ChinenyeN: It can easily be offset by establishing an Igbo political body. Simple. It is obvious that Ralph & Co. want so much to delve into politics, and no one is saying that they can't. They can, if they so much desire, but they can't [shouldn't] hide behind Ohanaeze to do it.
So, as far as I'm concerned, Ohanaeze is in the wrong. It has no hands in politics. It is not my organization, so it doesn't represent me, and that Delta man, Uwechue, is not my leader. Enough with this nonsense and confusion. As far as it being offset by establishing an Igbo political party, not possible. At least when it concerns the 2011 election. Reason being, the endorsement has already been made. The only way your idea would work without causing more division amongs the Igbo or weakening Ohanaeze is the organization instead adds political to the socio/cultural title.I think the problem here is the "Endorsement".However, lets suppose ohanaeze kept quiet and nothing and all of those money and power hungry "Igbo Leader" went out and endorsed IBB( they did anyways), what do you think would have come of the situation? |

Abagworo: It is wrong to go against any form of agreement including zoning.People are usually myopic due to sentiments and refuse to admit the truth. If 2015 which is the turn of the south comes and a south-south person is voted then southeast will have to wait their turn. When the northerners obey the zoning so-called "agreement" then talks can be made. If "zoning" returns to the south then why should the SE get it? |

revolt: Let's support zoning. It will Guarantee our political relevance. Gej will only favo your s.s. When he finishes what happens to the east. Since its a known fact that the typical s.s man would rather vote a megida than vote a Daniel with igbo origin. Ohanaeze will lead us to political suicide. I hear your but they northerners are not living by the zoning code so what is there to abide by? They are the ones who made it that we are seen as the 3rd largest tribe in the country when actually we are the 1st. How can you trust a people who fail time after time to be selfless? |
Politics › Re: Do You Believe In An African Union? by chyz(m): 6:48am On Oct 30, 2010 |
egift: Until African countries can unite in their individual nations - if not its not going to achieve anything. Or if we have an African leader who can be loved, strong, wealthy enough to help other nation's conflict, able to call others to order and resolve conflict between nations in Africa and other side - it will also help integrate AU. Once forced amalgamations are done away with and nations that want to form their own countries are allowed, then maybe we can work something out. |

MetalGong4: Uwaechue and his Ohaneze leadership are just wasting their time. . . . Igbos would commit a political suicide by supporting Jonathan's ill concieved presidential ambition. Who do you suggest we should support then? |
Politics › Re: Ohaneze Solidly Behing Ibb - Obinna Uzoh by chyz(m): 6:28am On Oct 30, 2010 |
Onlytruth: This is why I try my best to educate Igbo people about the need for SPEAKING WITH ONE VOICE.
I'm not a "Solomon", but I started arguing with far older men over this same issue when I was only 14 years.
I remember arguing with one man who by my estimation would be around 50 years when I was 15 years old over the same issue. He kept trying to intimidate me into accepting that Igbo lack of one voice is a good thing. I stood my grounds and told him he was wrong. There is NO WAY we can get our dues in Nigeria or even push for any agenda without speaking with one voice.
In my book, the most foolish Igbo man/woman is anyone telling me that our lack of one voice is a good thing. IT IS NOT. In fact it is TERRIBLE.
That is why we are cheated on all counts in Nigeria.
The most foolish lion is one which dares to take on a pack of buffaloes alone. It will be trampled to death.
NDIIGBO, LEARN TO ACCEPT WHAT YOUR LEADERS TELL YOU. FOLLOW THEM. IT IS NOT FOOLISHNESS. IT IS WISDOM Enuf said. AMEN! |

agbotaen: americans speak english , but they are not english people, cubans speak spanish , but they are not spanish people , brazil speaks purtuguese ,but they are not purtuguese people , please you people should wake up, my owa dialect of ika is mixed with igbo , bini and ishan , so it is uniquely ika .and if you do not speak it you are not ika period.and ika blood does not flow in you . a group of people whose only historical link to a people is their claim of language and nothing else should wake up and if the chips are down an average ika man know an igbo man is not an ika man ,and will always, distance himself from them. and that is just the reality .ikas have spoken , dont you notice the long distance most ika men give to igbos ? go to an interrior of ika land , say in alisimiie or uvere or omumu and you will be shocked at how the village men and women will quickly distinguish between an ika person and an igbo person.we are not the same dont you get it ? our lifestyles and ideology as a race is different. i am proud to be ika and i can proclaim it any where , i know our history and will do whatever it takes to preserve our ika culture . Who are you trying to convince, us or yourself? lol |
