Micafe:
good morning everyone, I'm about paying for my visa fee, but i noticed my passport expires Nov 2018, and i plan to schedule my interview appointment for April while planning to travel by July if granted. can I apply with this passport expiring Nov 2018 or apply for a new passport?
please guys. huh
What is required is 6months.. so please go ahead no issues cos they won't renew it for you now even if you think of going through that route...
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by cindermum: 12:45pm On Feb 16, 2018
Testimonytime:
Congrats.

Pls did you do medical visa on your last missionary journey?
And is this medical visa too?
Sorry for the questions, im just about to renew and still torn between scheduling an appointment and dropbox.
Im pressed for time as it is and hoping in God for your kind of miracle. I applied for a medical visa and im applying for sam again. I believe i wont be called for follow up.
I don't think you should be worried much as your previous application was also for medical... Mine was medical too and I applied for same again . It took 12 working days in total after Dropbox submission. In all, just pray for favour. Wish u all the best.

Mamababy1 came here to ask her question jeje and I have been seeing only negative comments about her post. Some marriages already ended before wedding sef so I don't know what is impossible about her case. So what if shes pregnant with another man's baby? Whose business should that be? It's ok for a man to impregnate his wife and still impregnate concubine almost at the same time but it's not ok for mamababy1 to get pregnant for another man within a year? Maybe if this happened to one of the females in your family it would have been believable. Ppl can be so insensitive and if you don't have anything nice to say then say nothing at all.

@kayjay23

Hi, sorry about today. I hope you get your visa soon.
Please how long was your passport with the embassy before you were asked to schedule an appointment?
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by cindermum: 3:58pm On Jan 29, 2018
Omodadi2:
No, you won't be allowed into the interview with her.
Hi @omodadi2 please I went through your transcript and I was really worried about the refusal.
So I went back to your old transcript when you got the visa. You said to the vo that your budget was 15k after he asked you if u were in contact with a doctor which you said yes . And his next question was how much will this cost you and you said 15k USD. So my question is this , did you show him the budget sheet showing everything was 15k ? Did the vo understand that the trip would cost 15k or did he assume that the hosp bill would cost 15k. Cos that might be what the woman saw and was wondering why she saw 2500 on Ur receiot. I don't know if I make any sense just thinking aloud.

Please and sons too before they turn their wives into modern slaves. There's nothing wrong with boys learning too.

Rebarobyn:
And this is a learning point for those of us with girl children to groom them to be independent. By the time you're getting married you should be able handle a new born...learn from sisters neighbours anybody...this generation is full of people demanding to be spoonfed

Oh no, he's not feeding her family and she doesn't have a job at the moment cos she resigned last Dec after her office posted her to badagry and couldn't cope with the distance...

Amen to your prayer.

happytbaby:
Babes,

Sorry to ask o but is it the guy that is feeding her family too? Does she have a tangible source of income?

Mamas and Papas in the house my prayer is that may we raise strong women, good men and be strong women ourselves. As I dey so, I dont even need my parents buy-in if a man is beating me...I go don rent house and moved out sotay.

Her mum was in the house when he beat her up and I was happy she witnessed it but sadly, she didn't do anything about it. He left d house since then and hasn't returned and she's busy asking him to come back home sad .... she already started stitching head 3weeks after marriage

happytbaby:
What about her people? Please try and contact her people. If a man as much as slap my daughter, she is coming home...biko...I grew that body from scratch.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by cindermum: 5:28pm On Sep 13, 2016
I totally agree with you..... my friend is in an abusive marriage and she won't let go... This guy beat her to stupor 2weeks after she had a baby in July. It wasn't the first time and he's never sorry.
ijeomaobi1:

Here's my friend's transcript from preclearance in Abudhabi

 Fast forward to secondary inspection

CBP: hello, y r u going to the Us?‎
Friend : childbirth and vacation
CBP: but I can see here that you renewed via dropbox and you stated you were going for holiday in May and this is August‎
Friend: yes sir, my husband wanted to go for holiday in May when we renewed our visas so he used the same information for both of us
CBP: I see you also had your first baby in the US, can I see receipts and she handed it to him
CBP: have you contacted a DR and what hospital do you intend to use
Friend: she mentioned hosp name and handed over the birth package.. that was the beginning of the problem
CBP: you gave me a package from 2014 and my friend insisted that it must have been an error as the Dr sent it to her not long ago. He asked them to go sit and he came back to her saying the Dr said she didn't give her anything of such. To cut the story sha, she showed him the email on her fone but still doubted it and said he had to go talk to his superior.
CBP: I see that when u applied in 2014 you didn't also say you were going for childbirth and you only declared when the VO asked you if you will be using the visa for childbirth and your response was if granted visa, I will like to have my baby in the US. You got to the US and stayed there for 3months meaning you didn't use the visa for the purpose.‎
Friend: sir, when I got to the US, I decided to use the opportunity to look for a hospital and after I met with the DR, she insisted that I shouldn't go back. I was due in March and baby came early February.
CBP: well I might have to send you back to Apply for B2 cos you should have stated it during renewal this time and my friend said there was no option for that then CBP said why are u talking about option when you told me your husband filled the form?
Friend: I know becos I helped my mum fill her form sir before she knew it their boxes were brought to them and they started searching evrything piece by piece but they found nothing in their boxes.
CBP: so where will you all(husband, mum, son n herslf)  be staying in d US?
Friend: my uncle's plc and he's a medical DR.
CBP: how long do u intend to stay there?
Friend: 2months sir
CBP: I'm going to give u 2 extra days to leave the US then he stamped her husband and her mum in for 6months.

In my opinion, twas a narrow one cos she told me that the CBP said he only let her go cos his superior said so and he must ve called them over 15times to ask diff questions. He only let them go 15mins before departure.. she said they were there for 3hrs in total.‎
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by cindermum: 11:27pm On Jul 26, 2016
No, there was no visa in it cos I got Nigerian passport and I didn't even bring it out till we got to lagos..
favoredgal:
Or maybe you gave them the baby's andrican pali and they saw visa in it?
Just wondering

Anyway
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by cindermum: 6:22pm On Jul 26, 2016
Hi,

I wasn't asked for baby's Nigerian visa or passport till we got to lagos on etihad.

favoredgal:
last paragraph is my worry
One of my Sil came back about 5 years ago with a Yankee baby no visa no etc
However when another sil tried it 3 years ago she had to miss her flight unexpectedly because the airlines will not allow it

The big question is will the airline clear the Baby to fly?
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by cindermum: 10:16pm On Jul 05, 2016
Hi,

She renewed her visa in March and she was already pregnant at d time but didn't say in her form that she ll be travelling to ve her baby. Now her husband is thinking maybe they should email dem just in case.

Kindly advise.

Thnk u.

OmoBendel24:
And if the pregnancy in question happened after the said renewal? Just asking....
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by cindermum: 9:17pm On Jul 05, 2016
Thnks for your response.. Yea I told her that she should have used her hosp as her contact in the US.

Virtuousdiva:
I think someone has answered this somewhere before but i believe if you apply for dropbox, there is still a section for indicating your reason for travelling unless she has gone to say something else while doing the dropbox renewal and has then made up her mind to give birth after being given the visa and now wants to write intent. You know what that means undecided

She already mentioned earlier that she will b going on holiday in May then her missionary journey later in the year.

NaijaMama:
Did you really say '2 week vacation' with the intention of birthing? Isn't that being insincere? Or, am I missing something?

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by cindermum: 2:42pm On May 13, 2016
Dear Ma,

With all due respect, please did u just find out about the pregnancy this morning? As I'm wondering y u didn't state your primary intention at the embassy... sending a letter to the embassy stating that you want to use the visa for birthing is like a short cut and u might ve issues at your POE. So as other mums have advised ppl here, it is better you use this visa first for the reason it was obtained. As for hospitals in chicago, please check part 3 I'm sure you will find useful info.

zeejam:
Hello dear Mums and Mums to be. please. i need information about birthing in wisconsin or chicago, the Costs, etc. Can't seem to find any information on chicago and wisconsin. I got my visa yesterday B1/B2, we only filled that we are going on vacation. The interviewer only ask us where we work n if we have travelled before. She didn't check doc and that was all. I intend going next month. Do I send doc to the embassy to declare my intention or I should just say am on vacation n to have my baby at the airport. Pls it's urgent help a sister.

Big thanks.
