Hello guys, I need your help urgently. I applied to join my husband in the UK. He's on a tier 4 doctoral extension scheme. I applied on June 15 and received confirmation from tls the same date and that my application has been transferred. Then on June 27, I received another email from Sheffield that they just received my application and an officer will now process it. I have applied several times for visiting visa to see him and I usuall receive the Sheffield email on the same day or next. Now my worry is that, when will the processing timeline start? The day the application was transferred or the day Sheffield received it? Their processing timeline is 3 weeks. Please I need your help. Thanks |
Hi All, I need your help urgently. I am going for a summer school programme in Budapest. I was there for my Masters degree in 2013/2014, but then, our visas were issued by the consulate in Kenya who then sent our passports via courier. I understand that this process has changed and the Nigerian embassy in Abuja is now issuing visa. I would like to know the process for submission. Do I go to Abuja with my required documents and submit or I need to book an appointment first. If I need to, please where is the website. Generally, I need a guideline on how to apply for a business short stay visa. Thanks for your assistance. |
abnot:Yes I used my GTB Card. I have called GTB and they said that it was approved but UK Visa has sent me email to say transaction declined. |
Dear All, Please I applied for the UK Visitors visa online and made a payment via GTB. I was sent a message from the uk office that my transaction was declined/unsuccessful yet GTB has debited my account. I called GTB and I was told that the merchant (UK Visa) has put a lien on the amount. So basically, my account has been debited yet the visa office has sent me a mail that the payment was unsuccessful. I don't have a number for the UK visa office in Lagos but I have sent them a mail. The only number I saw online costs 1.80 pounds per minute to make the call. Please what do I do. cc Justwise |
DJDOLA:I think you should go back to Luther now that you have enough funds. They will make a diagnosis and if they can't, then they would refer you. This is not the time to be running helter skelter. Make an informed decision. Please go back to them. There's enough funds now. You can beat this thing. You are a fighter, be strong and courageous. Don't lose faith. God bless you |
Sent something just now. I did immediate transfer so it should be in your account. May God heal you. This country sickens me to the stomach. A country that kills it's young. |

chloe7: why don't you just call the embassy to clear your doubtsThanks Chloe7 and tzetzefly, I just called to confirm and they said it's no mistake. They opened the system for j1 visa. |
tzetzefly: It is not a mistake.Dear tzetzefly, thanks so much for your response this early morning. I really appreciate it. I still called a friend of mine that works in another embassy and he keeps telling me to reschedule that it's unlikely they work on Saturdays but the program I am going for has a deadline. Do they work on Saturdays or is it better I just cancel and reschedule. Please help and what so you think. Thanks again |
Dear all, I applied for a j1 visa and I was scheduled for Saturday. Is this is mistake from their site or does the embassy work on Saturday? I was scheduled for 9.30 am. Please help. Thanks |
Dear consular, please I scheduled an interview for a j-1 visa and was booked on Saturday, 16 August. Everyone finds it strange that it's on Saturday. Could you confirm if this is possible and that candidates will be attended to that saturday? Thanks The second one is where to pay the SEVIS fee. I have been finding it difficult to find a place. Help please. Thanks so much |
Please you guys should help o. This is very urgent. Thanks |
Dear all, I need your help please. I know this topic might have been trashed several times in this section but I just need quick answers because I am running out of time. I will be going for an internship in the USA and I have already made an appointment at the embassy in Lagos - category j-1 visa. Funny thing is that I was given Saturday, August 16 as interview date. People I tell are very surprised that it's on a Saturday. Has anyone ever gone for interview on Saturday before? I would like to know please . The second question is that of SEVIS fee. Please where else can I pay apart from seme border in Nigeria. Your help is highly appreciated |

You live on the Internet defending yourself on various blogs and posting incoherent babash, cussing out the blog owners remember?Be my guest. I start this memo by quoting the lyrics from Abolore Akandes(9ice)song where he mentioned the words "baaaaastard"in reference to his ex friend rugged man. Ikechukwu(Jim my axx) you are exactly what 9ice said,a "baaaaastard" . I did an exclusive story that your 11yr old son has surfaced, which is true, abi you wan contest am? The story went viral and probably spoilt your chances of one of your yahoo-yahoo love scams in Houston where you are as I write this. ---and you go gaga? ...And you used your cunnilingus fingernails to dial my home phone and use the swear words on my family ......to the hearing of my children who are still traumatized, the children you so badly desire to have one day as a human being, the ones you used to refer to as "beautiful'. You called me "ugly bitch" and you are so frigging correct, the thing is of all your plenty sisters,I cannot remember anyone of them winning the Most beautiful girl in Nigeria beauty pageant or even Miss world. Your anger has brought you nothing but bad luck.ask yourself why you have no true friends or why no press man will touch you with a long pole. ...go on,ask yourself! You keep threatening to beat up anyone you enter into your log of bad books and I wonder if you are Superman. Na so you go Cameron them beat you so tey your fingers broke and you cooked up the "falling on a glass table"story.tell it to the cuckoos! If you ever think of swearing to beat me up because I did an exclusive that you have an 11yr old son who is in existence,I will find you and the day you lay your epileptic hands on me will be the last day you ever try to beat up any woman again!...agbaya go and find your mate to bully! At your age(you don pass 40yrs abeg)you should be happy of such news but instead you are in Houston running from various one dollar shops to another and after you go spread pics for Internet begging for headlines like "Jim iyke spends trillions on shopping spree"..Na today? If you read this memo, you are free to leave an anonymous hater comment here or any where else but please delete my numbers from your phone and do not call. Go and see a shrink doctor and get help for anger management abeg. You seem to think everyone is envious of you, wetin you get?you freaking parade used cars in your 'rented'garage in Abuja,I roll a brand new Mercedes, tear rubber! I know you will read this,so I close with this 'stellar advice' "It is only an heediot like you that refuses to see the handwriting on the wall, even when the letters are slapping at your pomo mouth". You are a liar,a cheat and you have a wicked wicked heart. if you call me ugly because I kick ass with my stories, remember I granted you your first ever interview where you said your then ex(actress stephnora okere)used to beg to be beaten before sex?bollocks! All the 11years i have been a reporter,i have done nothing but defend your sorry ass even when i knew your hands were soiled...that's what 'freinds' are for ! This is a friendly memo,if you push me again,I will get 'high' for you and send another one copying the governor of benue state swansan!.....A word is enough for the wise....you ain't. I thought the devil was a liar till I became friends with you!.....na you train devil to lie! The next time you try to set me up again,I will be waiting for you at the trap and I will fix the hook on your shriveled, over used balls! Remember that I am not Cornell udofia the reporter you messed up/tried to use to mess me up. My name Na 'sterra'! i don't know about being disrespectful but I do it. In short a lot, not out of disrespectbut my inquisitive nature and he doesn't get angy and even me I don't mind because he does it it although not every time. |
Abeg ignore him and continue living your life to the fullest. Take care of your kids and job because with what I have seen in Nigeria, some men are irredeemable. That is how one man in my office deceived a single friend of mine that he is a divorcee. She almost said yes(or maybe she did I don't know)before she decided to confirm from me since we work in the same place. I told her to flee because the guy na confirmed married man with kids. Anytime I see this collegue, I pity his wife and not even him. Shior!!! |
Black people sha! We are our own problems. No wonder we are still where we are today! |
On Friday, espnW intern Skylar Diggins, one of the NCAA's most accomplished college basketball players, shadowed me for the day to gain insight into the sports media profession. But a considerable portion of our conversation wasn't about sports media, but electrifying gymnast Gabby Douglas, who won an individual gold medal in the all-around event and also helped the United States win the team competition. It was the first team gold for the U.S. since the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. I wish I could say that Diggins and I simply gloried in Douglas' inspiring accomplishments, but unfortunately we spent a lot of time talking about Douglas' hair. That's because too many people took to Twitter and Facebook -- and sadly, many of them were African-American women -- to denigrate Douglas because her hairdo apparently wasn't up to some people's standards. "It's sad," Diggins said, shaking her head. Instead of basking in the fact that Douglas became the first African-American woman to win the individual all-around competition, people on social media were making jokes about how this 16-year-old phenom was in need of a perm or, at the very least, a more kempt ponytail. [+] Enlarge AP Photo/Gregory Bull Social media critics, who have taken issue with Gabby Douglas' hair, have somewhat lessened her triumph. "It makes me absolutely sick to see these comments about Gabby's hair," said Swin Cash, the decorated Team USA forward who is in London for her third Olympics. "What sickens me more is that it's mostly people from our own community. She is a beautiful, talented young lady. I hope she ignores the ignorance because she's an Olympic gold medalist. Enough said." Thankfully, the number of people who understood what Douglas accomplished outweighed those who attempted to channel the ghost of Madame CJ Walker -- the black woman who became the first self-made female millionaire by selling beauty products for African-American women. Douglas was congratulated by, among others, Serena Williams and former gymnast Dominique Dawes who, before Douglas, was the only African-American woman to have earned a gold medal in gymnastics. Dawes cried as she tried to put Douglas' accomplishment into perspective. There's no question that African-American hair often can be a taboo subject. Comedian Chris Rock was criticized for his 2009 documentary "Good Hair," which I considered to be a thought-provoking look at the billion-dollar black hair industry. Some black women didn't feel that way. They were upset with Rock because they believed he made African-American women look shallow, since he chronicled how many of them -- and I've done the same -- spend hundreds, and even thousands, on their hair. The biggest downside to the hair obsession is the negative impact it may have on black women's health. Some may skip working out to avoid messing up their styled hair. Dr. Regina M. Benjamin, the U.S. Surgeon General and a black woman, chastised other black women at the famous Bronner Bros. International Hair Show last August in Atlanta for forsaking exercise to maintain their hair. Benjamin said 50 percent of black women over the age of 20 are overweight or obese, compared with 33 percent of white women and 43 percent of Hispanic women. I do understand why so many black women are sensitive about their hair. I wore braids for years, but more than a year ago, I decided to give them up, in part, because I feared that it would prevent me from advancing in my television career. When shock jock Don Imus launched an unfair attack on the Rutgers women's basketball team, he pointed out that they were "nappy-headed ho's." But as hurtful as those comments were, some of us just proved with Douglas that we're capable of being as nasty and thoughtless as Imus. For all of Douglas' critics, I wonder what their hair looked like at 16? When I was Douglas' age, my mother was still giving me home perms. I'm lucky to still have a scalp. While I wouldn't go as far as to say that Douglas' extraordinary Olympic moment was completely undermined by the criticism of hair, the social media blowhards have certainly distracted attention from Douglas' triumph. Shame on them. http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012/espnw/story/_/id/8232063/espnw-gabby-douglas-hair-criticized-social-media-sites |
Honeycity: that little boy must be possessedYou know, this was what I thought at first, but later I felt maybe the things he watches like wrestling and violent cartoons affected him. I don't even know what to think. Really sad! |
Good day all, Came across this video on youtube so decided to share. Mothers please be careful of the kind of daycare you take your children to and also watch the kind of films and programmes your kids watch on television. I feel this kid was practicing wrestling styles he saw on TV on these poor toddlers. Don't know how to upload youtube videos but here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc9d9zdjr_w |

Hoodrat: For your mind now you have speak some sense right?Oya clap for yourself.. Well you cant force me to accept your opinion or stick to the rubbish you have typed here. I am entitled to my opinion which is why i am letting out my concern here and if is hard for you to accept deal with it. After all all the talk the coward society called Nigeria will still go ahead accusing each other and blaming the people around them for her failure. Look brother you can easily pass on your opinion without been vulgar whats up with the arse and s h it? my opinions are Nigerians dont need to be told for we have been in the same shadow of darkness for more than 4 decades now and still no one is able to say enough is enough of all the games been played on us. In my recent post on political jagons I clearly stated that the only Nigerian firm that benefit from Nigeria Government are the news media agency, church and mosque and am sure many people are aware of this because once is written in the paper or broadcast you will never hear anything about it or confirm the validity of the news, the so called contract awarded is only on paper and the loot has been shared. The people are sleeping and it only takes a strong force to wake them up because we have been brainwashed into believing demons are the cause of our problems which is why there is plenty church and mosque more than convenience stores. Al jazeera should look deeper into Nigerian society and not focus on the political and economy aspect alone, when they are able to do this then the root of the problem we are facing will be exposed. Have you ever wonder why there is so many church and mosque in the nation? just ask yourselves if is normal? all this are preventing an average Nigerian to think twice and do something to help themselves instead we are waiting for miracle passing by. A better Nigerian can only be archived when the people are ready to embrace it. Awareness has been in place for a long time now and nothing has been done to put it into action. The Nigerians ranting on the live broadcast will still go ahead to do the same harm the previous government has done to move the country down into a pit just because of their greediness.God bless you my brother. We don't need any foreign or local media to tell us what our problems are. We know them. We know our problem is corruption and I don't need any media be if local or foreign to tell me the problem in Nigeria. I don't even blame the leaders because the followers on thier own are worse. I blame every Nigerian living on planet earth as we are our own problem. Nobody can settle it for us and not certainly through any nonsense foreigh platform in terms of media, Governors or President or even fellow Nigerians like myself. Tired of people talking and discussing with no outcome. I won't even bother listening to what I already know or highlighting problems we already know exist. When we don t ire to dey do nonsense, we would rise up to the challenge. Other countries did not solve their issues or develop with the media telling them what to do. My own opinion anyways |
is it debrecen?
