Wow this is serious |
Was about posting this but you beat me to it. Let Nigerians continue to do us proud |
Simplechic: Cindy, I understand all what you said. As a statement of fact, I can never place anything above my family. Before now, we both agreed and know my time in the sector is limited. So its just a case of holding on pending...No problem, just continue begging and calling him. You are still his wife, he loves you and you love him back. He is just angry and when he calms down, you guys will get back together. Calm down, continue praying and hope for the best. This too shall pass. It would become one of those things when you guys look back at it |
I still blame you though haba! 11pm? If your husband was in the country you know you won't try that rubbish. I started working in a bank before getting married though not a marketer but in the head office. After I got married and once its 6pm, I carry my bag and baggages to my husband's house, I no fit shout. Due to the traffic and all that I end up getting home by 7.30 or 8pm. You can now imagine if I leave later than that. Simplechick dear, these are the challenges one go through as a married banker in Lagos but don't let these banks put a strain in your marriage. No matter what you go through for them, they can wake up one day and sack you not minding what you have been through for them. Sacrificing your marriage for any job is not worth it at all. Long distance marriage is a lot of hard work and things like this shouldn't be getting to you. Some men are insecure and I am sure you would have noticed it in your husband so it is not a case of I didn't know. The best way is to manage him and not trying to proove how insecure he is. Abeg continue to call him, send him messages to convince him. When you guys get back together, don't ever try this nonsense you did again because if my husband continues coming late, I won't tolerate it especially when it is now a long distance marriage and even after several warnings All the best dear, God bless your marriage |
shymmex: Teenage pregnancy should be outlawed in a country like Nigeria..I think I like this. A law should be passed that if you are not able financially to take care of a baby then don't bring one into this world. If you do, you should pay the government a certain amount of money. At least this should bring the incidence low but may not totally eradicate it.and I mean both the guy and the girl and not just the girl alone. At least one party should be able to fully cater for the child. Just a thought though in agreement with the above poster since parents can no longer take care of their children and leave them in care of government, househelps and schools, then let the government start regulating people's lives |
@Fhemmmy I would have given her serious education and told her how disappointed I feel in the first place. In short the first pregnancy should have been a mistake because I as a mum would give her sex education and all sorts so the pregnancy might have been a mistake which could happen to anyone. I am very sure there won't be a second time. I am not senseless neither is my husband so we can't have a senseless daughter. |
If my teenage daughter gets pregnant, of course I will feel disappointed and mad at her but she must give birth to that baby. I will keep the child while she continues her life in either secondary or univerity. She might lose one year or two but she must definitely go back to school. I am prolife except when the child poses a life threat to the mother before the pregnancy can be terminated. |
realwale: Utter rubbish,i think this prog shud be banned. Nothing for our youth to gain from but it rather corrupts deir minds. Shower time my foot,ur girlfriend no dey bathe for ur house.abi una never see naked woman before.jobless pple.LOL for you to watch the shower hour mean say you dey pay more. BBA stopped showing that after Ofuneka's time. If you wan watch do that, if you don't want to then stop. By the way, it does not automatically show like other channels, you have to subscribe to it so you have the option of actually protecting your kids and teenagers if you don't want them to watch. BTW, its rated 18. |
If he is ambitious then no problem. I only have issues with people who have no ambition and just content with what they have and are so laid back in life. My sister got married to a man with OND but working in an oil company. Now he has a masters degree and has climbed up in the coy where he is working. If he doesn't have goals in life, abeg leave am. Water get level |
Nonsense story and nonsense thread. No wonder the Bible seem to be against women. Endless banter |
Let me use Nigerian term, e go better. I have never seen a better Nigeria. It has always been like this. Right from when I was a kid. Always used to saying up NEPA! Bad roads, fetching water from well. Buying unclean "pure water". Giving money to police men. So really, I don't know the meaning of a better Nigeria or better country. Maybe those who live in developed nations can describe to me what it looks like to live in a good and developed country. Well as for hope, which man lives on earth without hope? The day you lose hope is the day you die. "waiting for godot" "En attendant godot" |
alj harem: Errmmmmm wrong ma, When brazilains adopt our culture (Yoruba) we did not complain, what is wrong in adopting theirs as well. But the black slaves were the ones who settled in Lagos, meaning they originally got their culture from Africa, Lagos or Yoruba anyone you want to pick from. I am not against borrowing some way of life from others but I just feel if its going to be a cultural stuff in Lagos, it should showcase more of our indigeneous culture. Someone looking at those pictures might think it was done in Brazil or one other caribean countries. I like the pictures showing eyo festival, in short I love it. That is what I would call indigeneous so that someone seeing the picture for the first time knows that it is Nigeria. Lagos to be precise. I am not only talking about the Lagos carnival, I am talking about the cross river, rivers and all the like that tend to show brazilian carnivals. I hope you get the point I am trying to pass across. Instead of adding more and more carnivals, can't we re-organise the festivals we already have and make them more colourful and attractive instead of coming up with imitations? Growing up in Delta state, there is this "omaluku" festival that we as kids usually go for, right now it is almost good as dead. That is just an example, those ones could be re-engineered and you would see costumes that will beat all these brazilian/caribean look alike. Anyway, before I am termed an hater, I love the pictures and the idea, but I just want to see something more original and indigeneous. Thank you |
Beautiful I must say with lots of brazilian influences. But is Brazil supposed to be influencing Nigeria or the other way round? . Africa know thyself!!! |
Looking forward to that time. Cant wait |
I will empower myself. Right now he has more opportunities than myself and I am a very prudent person. My husband"s hands are like basket. He will just spend everything on other people. He likes carrying large sums of money with him in case of emergency and when someone asks for 5k he gives 10k. So I rather empower the less financially bouyant and prudent one which is ME!!! |
Lol. I actually think women are worse Drivers. They can suddenly stop on the road and start chatting with a friend without caring about the people behind them. I am always correct when a Driver suddenly takes a sharp bend and I tell hubby that it's a woman driving and when we get to the front, lo and behold its actually a woman. Also women can sometimes expect men to automatically give way for them but they will never do. Instead they will be thinking because I am a woman, emn think they can do "agidi" for me. In short I don tire for female drivers especially in this lagos. The other day I saw a lady pinging and driving at the same time. She would suddenly stop, ping and then move keeping others behind her. I as a woman too, I felt like coming down to give her a piece of my mind. Women!!! All hail thee. I don't have a car yet . Maybe when God increases and promotes me in my work place or God blesses my Husband so much for him to get me a car, I don't know if I will be one of the worse female drivers or best. Until then let me continue to run my mouth and exclude myself ![]() |
Abeg they shouldn't come jor before boko haram will go and do their worse and disgrace us because this country has turned to somalia ![]() |
Heard in on BBC now. I really don't want to say it but will do anyway. News of killings in Nigeria is no longer news. May their souls Rest in Perfect peace. I feel so much for their relatives left behind. Can't beging to imagine their great sorrow. Tired already of this country called Nigeria where death does not mean much any longer. Never believed we will get to this state. ![]() |
Je vais bein Nayah. Et toi? Excuse mon francais beaucoup parce que mon clavier est QWERTY et je ne peux pas mettre les accents. Tu es francaise ou nigeriane? Enchantee de faire ta connaissance. |
Salut tout le monde!!!! |
Bonjour a tous! J'ai un clavier QUERTY donc il n'aura pas d'accent dans mes phrases en francais. J'aimerais parler la langue mais c'est un peu difficile de trouver des gens qui parlent francais. Au revoir!!!!! |
Good. They had better be open and plain about it. Please whoever is following it should give us updates. Thanks |
There seems to be a problem with my computer. Hidden files and folders always show whenever I start my computer, leave it for a long time or just mere working on it. I keep on hiding it manually through folder options every time. Is this a virus? Or is there a setting that let me hide it by default? Please what can I do as this is irritating. I have already contacted the IT Support person in my office but he said he can't do anything about it. Please help me |
When these folders show up on my desktop screen, they are usually so many and riitating. What can I do please? and I hope someone has been able to make sense of these jargons I have written. The IT Support person said he doesn't know what to do and hasn't seen a case like this before. I need help please :' |
