Thundafireseun:God does that, but not always. It is like when the Bible says that God heals or saves or causes prosperity. These are things that God does. But it doesn't mean that he always do it. For example, what do you think of people who make covenants with principalities like the demons in the water in exchange for political positions and who get it? Would you say that God put them in office? |
I don't understand this one about some developed countries. They claim that they want good immigrants and want to keep the bad ones out. Yet, at the embassy, you can see bright students with excellent grades and scholarships get rejected, along with other good profiles. The incoherence... |
So, if you ever got bad luck from fornication or know someone who did, how did it pan out when you (or they) stopped? Did life go back to normal over time? Did good luck return after a while? |
2elliot:I have a similar life story. But don't listen to advice asking you to pray against ancestral ties and the like, you'll waste your time. What you need is repentance, the day you'll decide to quit sin and live by the commandments of the Lord, you will see how swift your turnaround will be. If you pray even a whole night and send all the fire and thinder you want on all the family altars you can think of, but if a day or two after, you are lusting, the demons will just laugh and keep destroying your life just the same. Repentance and a newness of life in holiness are your only way out. |
DMerciful:Because good countries don't accept dangerous stuff on their soil meanwhile you can bribe the bad countries and they'll let you do whatever you want. |
I am not married yet but I have been 100% faithful in all relationships I had, and I can tell you why faithfulness: 1) I already have mine; that's my mindset when I am in a relationship. I don't need to look for sex when I already have someone to get it with. Everything I desire, I invest it in the woman I already have. If I want to go out, I can go with mine. If I like a certain clothing style, instead of looking at other girls, I can just buy these clothes for mine. If I feel like flirting, I flirt with mine. It is like, I already have it, so why seek again? I never have sexual satisfaction problems because I really invest in pre-intimacy and communicate in bed and train my girl, and well, when you pre-intimacy a girl very well, she becomes freaky and really performs well for you in return. So I am always full, there's no hunger left to chase other girls. If I am Hot, I will think about the previous sessions with my girl, think about her often, and wait for the next time we will see each other. At worst, I'll quickly masturbate in the meantime but I can't chase another girl while I am already lusting on a specific girl. 2) I know how to sort friends and foe. In my life, I only do friendships with girls I am not attracted to, generally fat or older girls. If I see a girl to my tastes, if I am single, I chase her, otherwise, I just systematically exclude her out of my life. Since it is impossible for me to get in bed without emotional connection, it means that while I am in a relationship, I never find myself close to any attractive woman, so there is no temptation. 3) Plus, it takes a lot of work, time and energy to create that emotional connection, and I am not going to do that work while I also have to work on a relationship, I am already very busy with chasing money, politics, family responsibilities and other areas of my life so I have no time and energy left for two relationships on top of all that. 4) Money! When I have a girl, I take care of everything, the expenses when we go out, if she got problems like health issues or she needs something like a gadget, I pay for it all, and well, it doesn't make sense to spend like that twice. 5) I don't want to cause a heartbreak. I don't treat others in a manner I wouldn't want for myself, I don't hurt others. |
The prosperity gospel is really failing people. Dear, read your Bible. God never said that you should pray if you want to make it in life money-wise. God told Adam to develop the garden, prayer wasn't part of the deal. Cain built a city when he had no prayer life, the descendants of Cain were prosperous, the Egyptians were rich, the Amalekites, the Assyrians, the Babylonians and the Romans, all very rich empires yet they didn't pray. How about prostitutes? They need prayers to get many clients? Prayer is just the communication between the children of God and God, it is about invoking the will of God and asking for his bread. The bread of God is different from money, it is everything you need to fulfill your destiny; it may includes some money but don't count on it, some Christians will get very little money, some will get some, some will get a lot, you don't know where you will fall, it will also include the favor to find an occupation, a job or business where you'll thrive without torment and where you'll find opportunities to serve God, people from God that will love you and partner well with you, joy and health always unless God allows a disease to try you, and the grace of God whenever you'll face hurdles. But prayer won't necessarily give you a lot of money. If you want money, go look for something you can produce or services you can deliver, that people will want to purchase. The only exception is if you are cursed with poverty. Then you will have to seek God to remove the curse first. But for people who aren't cursed with poverty, they just have to work smart to get money, prayer is not required. |
No. You have to tell him politely that what he did was wrong and that he should never repeat it. That's it. The Lord said that if someone do you harm, you should tell them in private first and have private reconciliation if they're willing. |
The post was very edifying, God bless you! Indeed, in a house, the master can set up many vases to different uses, and the Lord truly consecrated the apostle John as one of the most glorious vessels. John will make it abundantly clear to you that eternal life is all about obeying the Lord and John will lead you into contemplating who Jesus is. And that's the earnest of Christianity: knowing Christ and living him. What I learned from the apostle John: (1) Don't think that ministry is about rushing to do as many things as possible, sit down in the secrete room and take time to know your God, to contemplate him, to get some intimacy with him, to wait on his revelation, to align your life with his will and commandments, be in love with him first, let him become personal to you, and let your heart become wholly genuine to him, and then being aligned with him like this will guide you into serving him spiritually, in a way that truly produces fruit, eternal fruit. (2) God truly wants us to become copies of Jesus; the earnest of Christianity is about contemplating who Jesus is and becoming that. |
From the get-go, it was obvious that he wouldn't win. He wasn't approved by the wide North, and he doesn't have enough "common" presence; like, if you are on social media, then sure you will know about him, but if you exit the biggest cities and tour villages, there he isn't as well known as the political dinosaurs. Sure, it is painful, everyone is sad, but no need to entertain denial; it will just worsen the mess. It is time to cry a good amount and let go. |
Obi will likely win the Nigerian Diaspora; he's the one with the best reputation online. I am not Nigerian and I didn't follow Nigerian elections closely but Obi is painted as the man of hope, cleanup, betterment and progress all over my social media feeds and he is endorsed by the most excellent Nigerians I know. |
Peoole don't study their religions otherwise all Muslims and Christians would know that God often doesn't punish on earth in this life, and that God doesn't listen the vast majority of prayers because people who do his will, who obey his commandments, and treat others fairly like themselves, who live by the instructions of the Holy Spirit and refrain from all works of the flesh, these people are very very rare and then they must consult God and pray accordingly and be very persistent everyday until the matter is answered even if it must take years or decades of daily petitions for the same topic. Now tell me how many people are like that and how many of them pray like that and you will understand why prayer doesn't seem to change the world. |
I abstain from sex as much as possible to avoid contracting bad luck or causing a pregnancy. Peace of mind beats piece of ass. |
There are business which import refurbished phones from the US and Europe. Look for one diligently and buy there. If you have a trustworthy acquaintance abroad who will be traveling home this year, send them money to bring one for you. Otherwise, I'd avise you buy new from the official stores, even though you'll have to make do with a lesser model. Bad phones really hurt; you forget the extra money you spent after a couple months, but every single day for a year or so, you will really feel the pain of using a bad phone. |
What if the groom came for one virgin and the other virgins were just maids of honor? In traditional Jewish marriage back then, it was always one groom coming to seek one bride and her friends. You can see in the Song of songs that the main woman occasionally talked with other girls who were present as well. |
OP, you are confused. The friends of Jesus are indeed those who obey him. But it doesn't mean that Jesus only loves them, and no one else. Just like he taught, Jesus loves both the bad guys and the good guys, and he wishes good for both (he even asked forgiveness for those who were beating and killing him) but the bad guys reject his love and the good guys accept his love and become his friends. |
Move to better, international banks if you can afford them. Look them up and ask for their monthly fees, most often they aren't as expensive as y'all think. Yet they are very convenient and won't put you through stuff like these. |
My dad is an accountant and I was very good at accounting, the best of my cohort, but it is just sooo boring. I switched to economics, my passion. If you are excellent, you will succeed in either field. But if you are average, please stick to accounting, you may get a decent job meanwhile being average in economics is a straight ticket to unemployment and frustration. |
I am in my 20s too and yes, it is really hard and I have a lot of worries, bad news, burdens, stress and chaos in my life to manage. But let me share what helps me stay afloat, as it comes to mind, with no particular order: - cut out everything that drains your time, energy and money but doesn't improve your life. If it costs you time, money or energy and after you are done, you don't have more money or at least a feeling of happiness or rest, then it shouldn't be in your life. For me, I had to cut out porn, masturbation, flirting, hookups, some people, eating too much, spending too much time on social media, debating with people who aren't rational and a bunch of bad habits like sleeping late, etc... Of course, sometimes you will desire these things, but find pleasures that benefit you better like intense sport or reading things that interest you. Some things, you can do without them so just cut them out, TV, netflix, instagram, watching soccer and whatever, celebrity news and gossips, etc... I often see it wasting the time of many friends and mates. - don't waste time thinking that you have to find your "calling", destiny or stuff like this, or even the will of God for your life if you are religious. Ask a lot of successful or old people, you will see that none of them succeeded by looking for that kind of things. They all started by doing excellently what was in front of them, and looking for important things to do or learn, and opportunities to seize, and then harwork, excellence and a lot of luck brought them to success. So get out of your head, stop making plan after plan, start practically looking for the best things you can do right now and get busy doing them, and if you keep doing the best things excellently, and if luck comes your way (don't worry since you cannot control that part), then eventually you will succeed. - when you get bad news or a problem pops up in your life, give yourself time to digest your emotions first, maybe a whole afternoon, an entire day or a week. And then when the time to cry and complain is over, sit down and start looking for solutions and help. Think and do, think and do again, think and do again, never think a lot to never do anything and never rush to do whatever without thinking first, do both and be brave to accept whatever result life will give you. Do your best and accept the rest; that's the only thing you can do, learn to be okay with that. - prioritize money; as you grow older, you will have time to figure out religion, healthcare, relationships, intellectual interests, politics, your mission on earth, your hobbies and whatever but start with money, dedicate 8 to 12 hours everyday for hustle, a fourth of the time to learn about making and securing money and the three fourths to actually work and make money. If you are financially stable in your 30s, you will see that everything else will fall into place more easily. We grew in a culture where money was a taboo and we weren't taught how important it is. I have been living by these principles for some time and it makes a great difference. Worries decrease when you are not sabotaging your own life, when you are busy trying to progress and when you allow a time to grieve for your problems and then focus on tackling them and learn to accept the results, knowing that you did your part. |
I understand your problem. I know someone with the same issue: he was naturally effeminate, he went to a boarding school where he had two or three homosexual encounters (but just dry humping nothing further), he struggled with porn addiction, gay porn and lusting after some other men. But he became a Christian with a serious ministry; he is still battling but everyday, he chooses to say no to his desires and yes to obeying God. Now, answer honestly my questions: - what made you effeminate? Is it because you naturally feel soft and not very manly or because at some point in your life, you wanted to be a woman and entertained the fantasy? - are you ready to put all the sins behind you? No more looking a man twice, no more gay porn, no more flirting with boys....? - when will you look for a woman after your heart and get married? |
Plot twist: the text is from a boy who flirts with her, she saved his contact with a girl's name. And well, when the husband got too suscipious, instead of admitting to the nascent affair, it was more convenient for her to tell that she is also lesbian. Now, she can save her side chicks under female names and she won't ever have to hide her affairs anymore. Clever ! |
