I think a profile with expired IELTS becomes ineligible. Why not retake the IELTS now (instead of waiting till June/July) and edit your profile with the new scores. This preserves your tie break advantage if you are already in the pool.

Gurus in the house please I need clarification regarding ielts result expiration date. Is it 2 years from the day I wrote the test or 2 years from the test result date? Draws are resuming in July, and I don’t know if to rewrite ielts as I have 2 dates on mine; June and July

I'm kinda ashamed to type this here but the kain laugh wey my Indian housemates use me laugh today warrants say make I ask for help. Whenever I cook beans or make vegetables in the shared kitchen, it smells so awful though this doesn't affect the taste. I'm a good Nigerian cook . Even me perceive the shitty smell. The whole kitchen plus corridors had the stink. There was a day I prepared Afang and went for midnight shift. The next morning, the shitty stink was still in the air. Now, shame don dey catch me on top my food. I've been thinking, maybe I should just adapt and start making sandwiches, etc. Funny thing is that my Indian housemates food also smell but the smell is that of a heavily spiced 'indian' food and is 'kinda' not bad laidat. This evening, I had to spray the kitchen with air freshener, even at that, the smell is still there.

Help!!! What should I do to eradicate this smell. Note, the kitchen has vent and air conditioning.

@ciwi, I know a guy who used italki. He's on YouTube, I actually found him when I searched for "Learn French in six months" on YT. He was able to get to do it in six months, and watching his video was what gave me confidence.

His name is Ikenna, you can check him out. He also dropped the link to the italki tutor he used. I personally think italki is a really good option, lots of native speakers to choose from.

I was in New York for some days and he took it upon himself to make sure my stay was nothing short of perfect. As in he went out of his way to make sure I had no issues touring, exploring and visiting famous landmarks.I also got a lot of history lessons... lol

Hi, everyone. From July 22 - August 20, I'm thinking of doing virtual pro-bono IELTS writing tutorials. It will be totally FREE.

You write, I give you feedback. Help you make sense of your thought process. You revise, you get more feedback. Then you write again. You will be doing a lot of writing during the period. One of the best ways to improve your writing is to learn by doing (writing).

Please note that I'm not going to perform any magic, I'm only going to help you rethink (and possibly unlearn) some of the things you know about writing and start writing the IELTS way. Everything will still come down to how much work you put in and how teachable you are.

I'm hoping to take on just 5 people. Again, it's totally free. Once we have five people who are interested, we can think of how to make it happen.

@ MrSanity to even prove that your hypothesis is false, are you aware that they asked some of the guys that were screened earlier to come for the technical test last week? Maybe not, and it wasn't on this forum.

My hypothesis is that after the technical tests for some roles, they did not have enough people to go to the panel interview and form a good wait list. Trust me that technical interview is the Koko! If the lady doing technicals says you are very strong, you are very likely to get a place in front of the panel even if you did not do too well on behaviourals (note too well).

My advice to myself is too keep looking to God, because a lot of variables are in place to determine who braces the tape.

I asked what role and he said he didn’t know cos he’s not in hr not involved in the process
