For every "why you should not" . . there is an equal amount of "why you should". I wonder why common sense is not so common afterall. Yuck! Common sense also dictates that if something is as easily as profitable as it appears to be, then a "gold rush" would occur. If the gold rush persists after a while, then indeed it's profitable. If it wanes off, it's a flash in the pan. If there are no individuals there, even selling the shovels, then it's a bigger flash in the pan. Its either you understand these facts, or learn them the hard way. Cheers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ4AOfVMO28 |

ANTONINEUTRON:My funds are still inside a Lesotho paypal account, lost the phone number and PayPal wants to send a code by fire by force I cant even call them, cos that's instant blocking. |
ShiningStar001:why ecmascript ? you want to create your own scripting language? Or you perhaps meant one of the languages based on ecmascript specifications, with the most popular being Javascript? |
It takes a lot to create a tech startup. First comes the knowledge of programming, which is required to put together the required tech stack to create a performant application. Then next comes the business of programming which like every other business includes but is not limited to: validation, achieving product market fit, marketing, acquisition channels, customer retention and growth methods To achieve the second stage, you will need a lots of experience under your belt; or at least somebody with lots of experience there as a cofounder. Else, you will create trash. p.s.: Talking about numbers, you don't necessarily need a team unless you're limited in tech which itself is not bad. In that case, you're screwed. Thats why it's good to have spent the years before taking that adventure. It helps to keep cost down at least a 2-man team i.e. tech and marketing. I built my product myself, zero external help, schema design, frontend, backend, UI/UX and cloud deployment and it took me 6mths+, cos i had a 9 -5 alongside. It currently has over 250k+ lines of code. |
Dramadiddy:That poster is a man who has seen money and understands money. Most people who have not seen "money" will think 5M will go anywhere. In today's Nigeria, trust me, you'll be looking for what you did with 5M and won't find it. Yes, 200M for a start. |

BluntNigerian:You're not serious yet. Use a 3rd party website that connects to the NIMC api and you'll see the picture of whomsoever owns the NIN glaring back at you. https://checkmypeople.com/national-id/ I verified mine and the picture is correct with the exact clothe i was putting on the same day i registered |

Congrats, wahala for who no be 'ambassador' |
Are you trying to say if you hadn't been caught, you'd still feature them? Lol, story for the gods. |
tensazangetsu20:Stanliwise has replied you well, i still don't see why you are making baseless analogies. Anybody can earn good money with any language. I work as a remote dev . . . job a) int'l pay approx 420k job b) locally approx 300k job c) is my side business, around 200k figures quoted above are per month, and all in javascript and it's variants now there is very big potential for job c) to enter 1m, 2m or even 10m monthly recurring revenue . . because it is what it is, a business Will i advise you to learn JAVASCRIPT if you want to make money or choose C# if you want to suffer? Hell NO! Why? because i can replicate all earnings above using another language if i wanted. It's not the language that brings the money, it's what i have upstairs in my head. If i take away your PHP skills, you're probably dead. Take away my javascript skills and i'll just laugh it off. You see the language as the income-driver, I see the skill instead not the language. That's why you just started writing codes this year, and i've been writing codes since . . cant remember |
stanliwise:Thanks man . . . The very telltale sign of somebody who is very new to programming . . they bash languages. I can tell you Javascript is better than PHP at asynchronous I/O or I can say Python excels at data processing than Javascript but i will never tell you to learn javascript over python or python over PHP or learn Go over C++. That's very "juniorish" When you've packed enough years in the industry, like you rightly said, languages become tools and your aim is to get the job done using the 'best" tool that favors the "circumstances" surrounding the job requirements at that particular point in time. if i needed to process ultra large sets of data, do you feel i should use Excel sheets on my laptop? when I could make life easier using Hadoop? For this singular reason, does it mean I'll tell you NOT TO LEARN EXCEL? |
tensazangetsu20:I feel my point is clearly defined and I know you understand it. Don't dance around it. |
calderon:Received mine too last last week. Should have updated but been super busy. Metrobox compensated me for the ultra-delay in shipment with free shipping both ways, USA to Nigeria and Nigeria to my doorstep. And he communicated effectively via phone calls. Very commendable. For this singular act, i'd surely patronize them again. |
You are making bread and who is not? Trust me, I can smell "BS" from miles away. I have too much experience in these waters. My point is , lets keep it real here and focus on firsthand facts based on the job market. And not drive some people on a wild goose chase, with stuffs like, i know somebody who does, i have a friend who does, etc |
tensazangetsu20:An entry level data scientist in a 'reputable firm' will earn almost that. emphasis on 'reputable' And what has stopped you so far from being a SAP ABAP developer? The earlier you wake up and smell the coffee, the better.... Been there, done that and I speak from experience Please stop pushing people towards future suicidal tendencies by allowing them 'chase pipe dreams' If it were this easy, almost everybody would be pursuing the billion naira mark, as it were. |
tensazangetsu20:Every language is terrible for a junior developer . . . There is no language that will pay a junior up to 500k in Nigeria, Heck even seniors in Nigeria have not made such . . except, it's a remote job, and then you convert the proceeds into the local currency,.. the power of geographical arbitrage But that same logic holds sway for any other language, it doesn't have to be pro-PHP or anti-python |
tensazangetsu20:' No disrespect, this comment should be voted the "most senseless comment for 2020" Remind me,.....How old are you again?
|
Remember to tell him that Stripe doesn't support Nigeria(ns). If you seriously need to beat that, then you must incorporate your business outside Nigeria and register as one and don't try to use hacks e.g. VPN, else you can kiss your account (with money inside) goodbye, should it get suspended. |
tensazangetsu20:Just curious, what's ur obsession with Salesforce? I hope it's not what I am thinking . . . ![]() |
Tribers:in life, it's always good to understand your limits. I am an engineer , i wrote the code my job is done. and i handed over to a sales person to do the rest |
Get in here ![]() Anyways, Google is not only for searching for x-rated videos |
You wanna see how orange looks on you right? |
Whr is that chingle5.... |
Tribers:Your question is akin to asking: "how long does it take to cook"? Is it rice? beans? yam or indomie noodles.... Well, a full-stack engineer [front, back and cloud] who knows his or her onions can deploy an app from start to finish solo how long it would take depends on the complexity of the app in my case, 6 mths. |
calderon:Received yet? |
@Karleb Those questions are even cheap. Let him solve these below as well. @chingle5 1. Define and give examples of Mixins? 2. In clear words, give use cases differentiating between mobile responsiveness versus adaptive responsiveness. 3. What are clearfixes used for? Give examples. 4. How do you write css selectors to match files ending with .exe? 5. Explain with details the lifecycle of an html element in the browser, focusing on how css comes to play. 6. Whats the difference between Scss and Sass and Less ? 7. Describe file-splitting in css |
It will end in premium tears . . . come back here after one month and ask how far. |
. Op why not use an existing platform like Salesforce. Seems that what you are looking for is in the CRM and ERP realm.
