spartan117:Are you trying to score cheap points or what? I even encouraged to work by day and study by night . . . So Where did you see me discourage him? Or I told him to quit programming and find another career? Please read to understand next time and not just for likes. Cheers. |
EngrBouss:hey you blind? Aint you seen where I asked for proof. besides, time wasted in typing this coulda been used to send proof. Duh! |
.
|
martius101:Then why did you post the sob story? When yo could have Simply said "you were looking for an interpreter that woks on phones" ![]() |
Kiddyong123ayo:Long live the king! I sha don't wanna see any nonsense thread here about being scammed. To be forewarned is to be what Forearmed. You are very confused. You know how websites make money, see your post below and look at the bolded. I want to start a livescores website and app company. . . .Plus mentioning google adsense and paid ads, as your only monetisation channels, means you dont know sh!t. Continue, you are doing well ! |
^^^ SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM Show us screenshot of your billing account with: 1.) where it said AWS gave you $200 for the free tier, and 2.) Where AWS and the rest of them applied the 5k, 12k, 10k etc. to your credit history Twilio gave you 10k usd lol, me and Twilio are like 5 and 6. FYI, it's sendgrid that gives up to 12k, and it's not a lump sump credit. You're only allowed to use the service for free and every month what you've accrued for is paid for you on your behalf for 12 months. You feel we are kids in here. |
In that case, there are millions of free resources online and there is really no need to pay. Search well. Good luck. |
Why do you want learn how to type fast? Are you looking for a career as a professional typist? Let's start from there. . . |
Nigerians always have this sense of entitlement and want everything to ALWAYS and MAGICALLY work in their favor. You dont have a laptop and so what? Was anybody born with a laptop? It would have been better if you recognized that a ladder exists and then you climb it one rung at a time. Why dont you get a job, even if it is to wash cars? Or at the local sawmill. Or the local garage? Then save up, and get a laptop. Do the job by day, study to become a programmer by night. A lot of people went to school while still doing a regular 9 - 5. They did not die, thus, You will also not die. But no, you must post here, so that somebody would take pity on you and send you a laptop. What can you do with an android phone? Or you feel programming is only about writing codes inside a code editor? Not happening! |
Kiddyong123ayo:See ... here is a man that would be scammed pretty soon. So you have zero business idea on how to monetise your intended venture, and then you're asking the programmer whose sole job is to put up the website to still tell you how to monetise? LOL Since when did programmers become Business Development Managers or Product Managers or Growth Managers? Or you wanna pay for the complete package i.e. 2-in-1 This is what happens when you have zero business sense BUT want to do a business BECAUSE YOU SEE THE ORIGINAL IDEA IS MAKING IT BIG. Before you checked how much livescores is worth now.... Hope you also checked how much livescores has spent in expenses, including but not limited to software development and marketing? Caramba! |
** How about those who don't use the Singleton design pattern? |
It has a name and it's cheap |
Jboyossai:Nah, it's fine. Simple........look for a pdf reader/parser. Since it's node js, feel free to pick one from the public npm repository You can do the same for any other document format, as long as it contains recognisable character formats. |
Jboyossai:Rookie method: Good stuff. I am going to assume the documents will contain English alpahanumeric characters. You want to go by "propensity to be plagiarized" i.e. the probability that what you're seeing is plagiarized. So depending on how deep you want it to be, you could do 1 - 100. Lets stick with 1 - 10 to keep it simple. Bear in mind that words will always repeat themselves in everyday English sentences, so your best best is to check each sentence, rather than the whole document. Sentence 0 on copy A should be checked against Sentence 0 on copy B. This is a shallow comparison where each word is matched against the other word, and if they are similar, you can give it a 1 depending on how you calibrated your scale. If they dont match, you can give it a 0, once again depending on how calibrated your scale. Do this for the whole sentences in the document and get an average. Then you decide by sentiments what percentage threshold is an indication of pliagarism or not. Expert method: Study Levenshtein distance algorithm. I have attached screens for you to see what you will deal with.

650k per month, 20hrs a week, and we "might" have a deal; for either the Rails or JS. |
gfon:Replied you. |
Jboyossai:Oya hit me ![]() |
Akanimoh113:Okay oooo, Good luck and Godspeed, |
gfon:Sure |
^^ Cool. Solid, concise and apt. |
Akanimoh113:Dont drag this too far. It's not possible, technically speaking, at least for now. Perhaps in the future, a technology will enable us to do that. If you remove those stuffs, you'll only get an empty background, mostly white. The best you can do to that picture, is clean the watermarks and add your own text. But no jupiter can make you see what was hidden. Not now, perhaps in the next 100 yrs |
@Karleb Looking at the codes pasted on page 1, I am pretty worried why you're using print instead of return , care to explain? secondly, if you were asked to document the function, what would you assign to the @returns param? void? |
EngrBouss:You obviously dont know what you're saying. AWS free tier has no amount tied to it. You are rather billed based on instance-hours or per-GiB data ingress or egress, depending on the service. Some services have free trials for 1 month and some are limited to X number of API calls per month during the free tier which extends to 365 days. GCP on the other hand will give you $300 which can be used platform-wide. After the expiration of the money, you still have 12 months (minus how many months you've used so far) for select services as in the case of AWS. Both of them will also give you a very underpowered compute engine to play with free for 365days. Azure follows the same pattern as GCP |
tensazangetsu20:I didn't say automatic job offer . . I said "AUTOMATIC EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES" Thanks. |
No, You don't need CS to learn how to code However, people who studied CS, at least, outside Nigeria, will be far ahead of you. Top coys like Apple and Google actually go to the best schools to pick the best CS grads, automatic employment opportunities , no stress You can still get into those companies too, without a CS degree, but then you must work like hell, to learn in a very short period of time what the CS grads learnt during their whole stay in school, at least 4 years. Tell me you can learn in just 1 yr what is originally intended to be learnt in 4 yrs. The answers lies within you. Would I encourage any coder/programmer/engineer etc to learn CS . . Hell yeah |
achaemeka:Fixed. |
I am GCP certified. Nothing too difficult, though it was kinda easy for me, cos i've been using GCP for a very long time. Much of it comes down to hands-on experience, cos one thing is for sure. The questions are way different and tougher from what will see in practice/mock exams or youtube videos So I'd advise you to create an account with your intended cloud provider and gain practical experience for at least 6mths; before attempting the cert exam. Cheers. p.s. I have been using AWS for as long as I have known GCP, just have a professional bias for GCP. |
If you're based in Nigeria which i highly presume, you can't open a stripe account unless you wanna go through the incorporate-me-abroad path, stressful, more money stripe is living on past glory these days there are newer tested and trusted coys that favour new entrants in the market e.g Paddle, ChargeBee and Recurly to mention a few. Dig deep. |
Google's proprietary DB is BigTable and it's actually NoSQL MongoDB is the toyota corolla of the nosql world, there are the ferraris and mclarens there e.g. Hbase, neo4j and cassandra, used for "big stuffs" beyond the knowledge of the regular and average Joe |
Karleb:Too many threads to go through. Mention me, if the discussion is healthy, i'll be there. |

. I know it's possible and I believe it is possible....
