biafrandream:Sadly, its going to be yet another Green- White - Green building in Nigeria. I wish they were a little more creative in choosing the exterior color as they did choosing the building style and shape. |
Good if they will do it, But also help the okada people to access Keke napep. |
shady26:Better than you. ![]() If you were the Chairman of a community bank talk more a commercial bank in Nigeria, I would have heard your name. |
shady26:Please do me a favor; go and take your medication and stop asking me yeye questions. What you quoted was a clear statement. Peter Obi was already a very wealthy man before contesting for Anambra governor. Infact, that is part of the reason he didn't need godfathers like Ngige to finance his election campaign. I wish Peter will succeed more in his private endeavors so that jealousy will kill these church rats. Anyhow, provide proof that Peter stole from the state to fund his private business or STFU! |

Apparently only faceless, unemployed riffraffs think that. ![]() Great men of integrity who are achievers in their own fields of human endeavor in Nigeria and abroad have been rolling over themselves to thank and honor Mr Peter Obi for his sterling service to his state. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsSiQEoGEho

Chino, Please do not respond to this rabid dog here nor in the Few pics from Imo state thread. Let the frustrated dog go and die alone quietly. |
vanbonattel:vanbonattel, To begin with, you are from Imo state and not Anambra. To come to another people's state thread and post false pictures is the height of disrespect that makes people like Chino to try and rubbish the Imo thread. Are you referring to the same hospital whose pictures and video is all over the internet? What is your mission? Peter Obi was the only governor that understood the importance of good health and built a modern accredited teaching hospital in Anambra and that has been well documented. Anyhow, you should post pictures that show Obi lied or failed to do projects that he had said he would. Getting outdated pictures just doesn't fool anyone. Except of course people like Freeglobe looking for just anything to hold on to as a reason for hating Obi. While his grudge is that Obi blocked Ngige his elder brother from bringing an Islamic party to rule Anambra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwV2ZtKN1WM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNmFk5z2NIw&index=39&list=UUCn5QzSylrCpgCYmr2n9xaQ

OkijaAmaka:Truth is that Peter Obi has no comparison in Anambra's litany of common criminals and crooks who posed as her military or civilian governors for many many wasted decades. Before Peter Obi, i had seen how public hospitals and state institutions looked like in Anambra and the people didn't even seem to care. Anambra didn't even have a secretariat for her workers nor even a government house talk-more of good roads traversing the entire state ![]() Without denying that there is still a lot to do in bringing Anambra into its deserved place as a developed state. Like the biblical Moses, Peter Obi retrieved Anambra from these thieves and criminals masquerading as politicians and their so called godfathers that swore Anambra was their personal trophy to be looted and confined into the dungeon of a failed state. After his constitutional term, Peter Obi has handed over to a "Joshua" who should continue the journey to the promised land.Peter Obi was not perfect, like failing to ban Okada, failing to modernize Onitsha,Nnewi and Awka, his recent dumping of APGA . But his efforts to reposition the state more than compensate for his mistakes. Those still lamenting that Obi denied them of the opportunity to continue looting Anambra as they did before he became governor should find a wet transformer and do the needful. |
Ilovenigeria:Very true. Just like those who sing for crucification of Obi need to provide pictures to back up their claim |
spyder880:Oga mi spyder, the next stage will be to drive around these roads and make a video to post on youtube like this one here. So that so of us will use what we see as Christmas present for our eyes! ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2krrOJ3Yfw |
CFCfan:Absolutely bro. American infrastructure need serious upgrading. Actually, my focus was on their great culture of maintenance. Once they tar a road, even if it is a street, as soon as pot holes appear, they will quickly patch them up so that the street does not break down to the point that they need to award a complete rebuilding of the entire street at a cost similar to what it would cost to tar brand new streets. That is what i see in Sullivan's approach. He builds what he can afford to the highest quality, and more importantly maintain them so that the achievements are not lost. |
Johnolis:There is absolutely nothing wrong in giving constructive criticism. Infact it is a good thing, so long as you are making a valid point. However, comparing apples and oranges expose your ignorance of the topic and indeed your poor grasp of the issues being considered. Threatening to leave Anambra thread because you compared Akwa Ibom's achievements with average of N490 billion every year against Anambra average of N90 billion every year and found that Akwa Ibom achieved more than Anambra, shows you are either deliberately being mischievous or you have very poor analytic thinking. |
spyder880:While on visit to the USA, when Americans asked me the difference between Nigeria and America infrastructure wise, they are surprised when i say NONE! Because everything in America was in Nigeria at some time, but had collapsed. America builds her infrastructure just once, then continues to maintain and upgrade it. Nigeria will build her infrastructure, then allow it to collapse and then starts re-building the same thing from the scratch again! Imagine the billions of dollars used to rehabilitate roads as Enugu-PH roads because they were neglected to completely collapse and then had to be re-done from the scratch. So we are stuck in rebuilding roads which were already built in the 1960s and 1970s without aggressively adding new ones or massively upgrading the roads with more lanes and flyovers to make commute easier. In comparison, the roads the Americans built in 1960 is still being used and maintained, while many of such roads have already been upgraded into expressways with flyovers to make connection with other roads easier. Thus, I am glad that maintenance culture is top notch in Enugu. The road gutters, roadmarks and street signs, the street lights and traffic lights are constantly being maintained to serve their functions. True to God, Enugu Akwulogo!!! God bless Sullivan Chime for having such great vision which is uncommon among political leaders in Nigeria. ........but that ugly road median again! We need to do something about planting aesthetic trees and flowers in our road medians or simply cover the median with concrete if we don't have time for flowers or we think flowers may not thrive on such roads. Leaving them unsightly with over grown bush does not speak well of the new functional world class city Enugu is fast becoming. |
3dankey:Bros, Some of our so called businessmen have actually been the problem with the state. Not business men like IBETO or INNOSON, but people like Chris Ubah, Andy Ubah, Ifeanyi Ubah, Okey Odunze and to an extent, Emeka Offor. Because our guys lack proper education, they are crude and raw in their methods and end up hurting the entire state over silly political squabbles. BTW, I believe you should allow that man to do the needful and unfollow the thread. It will be better for the discussion here.If major contributors as Tabletman,3Dankey, ilovenigeria, inyinyaagbaoku, schematics or FK081 un-follow the thread, then it is truly a loss to the thread. Anambra's developmental challenges are a little complicated and requires a clear analytical mind to discern. So simplistic, magical thinkers like the dude that will simply look at Akwa Ibom and want the magic replicated in Anambra without consideration for the funding part need to unfollow the thread as he desired. When a man begins to compare Akwa Ibom with the highest federal allocation and even greater IGR to Anambra, which is amongst the poorest 10 states and low IGR, then the man does not have a good analytic skill. His focus should be how to raise the IGR to enable funds for developmental projects. This seems very elementary but it is good to say it for those like that guy. All states in Nigeria are not receiving an equal amount from the federation account. There are about 7-9 states which each receive allocation bigger than what is allocated to the entire south east states! |

b1327:If our people pay their taxes, they will begin to hold bad leaders who embezzle government funds responsible. Which is what it should be. The possibility of corruption is not a reason for you to refuse paying your tax. Abroad, people may opt to pay even more than their stipulated tax so that at the end of the year, they can file their taxes papers and show the government that they paid more tax than required and therefore get the difference back. A typical person abroad that makes $2,000 dollars a month will pay about $600 dollars in taxes from that amount.A person in Nigeria earning $2,000 dollars does not pay up to $20 dollars in taxes! Igbo businessmen in Lagos, Kano and other places gladly pay taxes to the host state governments, but will resist paying taxes when they are in Igboland, especially in ONITSHA? The problem with Nigeria and we Igbo is that we want to make all the money, hide it away from the government so that we will pay zero taxes especially when operating in Igboland. Imagine that an elementary school teacher in Anambra pays more taxes than the owner of GUO transport company! What type of nonsense system will allow such anomaly? Yet, our people want good roads, electricity, functioning hospitals and schools? Where will the money come from? |
spyder880:This is very frustrating!! Somebody should please take action! Remove the damned posters and charge whoever's image is on those posters for the cost of labor to remove the posters! |
The same type of unruly behavior they exhibit in Nigeria and go Scot free, they have exported to America. Don't worry, Oyibo man will teach that one that their President's surname name isn't Jonathan or Buhari. ![]() |
tochukwuifeduba:It is not new taxes! These have been the normal taxes that the gas stations simply refused to pay. Yet,they want manner from heaven in terms of good roads and other infrastructure. I think the government should make sure these crooked dealers aren't allowed to create artificial scarcity and exploit the people more by selling fuel in the mid-night at above pump prices. Our people should learn to pay taxes to the government and then demand better infrastructure in return. That is how it works in civilized societies. |
bombay:So sad, but true. APC and Nigerian Muslims often want to dare and bite more than they can chew. They must be mistaking Nigeria for Saudi Arabia or Egypt. Just like their Islamic fanatical counterparts in Central Africa Republic attempted with that country and provoked a backlash from the Christians there. I wish APC luck in their plans for an Islamic state in Nigeria. |

pichures or it didn't happen.! |
Yoruba people and tarnishing of Nigeria's image. |
BuddahMonk:Now he wants to speak out, who doesn't know what is going on in Nigeria? Shameless oyibo people. |
Northern Nigeria has really benefited under GEJ, which NO NORTHERN PRESIDENT WILL DO FOR OTHER PARTS OF NIGERIA. I can imagine the uproar if a railway line was built from Lagos to Benin city or Enugu to Onitsha. They would shout so much that Nigeria's money is being used to develop the south that even Boko Haram will adopt it as part of their grievance. Sha, God bless GEJ. Fresh air until 2019! |
Ilovenigeria:My brother, i feel your pain. Compared to the untarred roads and water logged streets around the Orizu roundabout in the other picture, this is a lot of improvement. However, we do need to do things in the standard way. Properly mark the roads and sweep them. It will be a long time before a state like Anambra incorporates street sweeping and flowers planting on the roads again into our habit, but with constant agitation from the citizens for the government to do better, it will begin to happen someday. |
Those that hate Nigeria with every strand of their being, yet they are the largest benefactors of her oil wealth. What an irony! |
